City Tour & Alcatraz Admission
3.5-hr San Francisco city tour plus ferry and admission to Alcatraz island, including award-winning Alcatraz audio tour. Limited availability and advance booking is recommended
From US$108.00
Once a federal prison and now a national park, historic Alcatraz sits in the middle of the San Francisco Bay and is a must-see sight. Secure a hard-to-get ticket to the island for an audio-guided walking tour and visit other iconic San Francisco sights including the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, and Chinatown on this stress-free tour. All entrance fees are included.
What to Expect
In the morning, make your own way to Pier 33. Your Alcatraz and San Francisco tour starts with a ferry ride to Alcatraz. Upon arrival get a brief orientation on the maximum-security facility from a park ranger and pick up your self-guided audio tour. Listen to commentary from former staff and inmates as you explore the cellblocks.

When your audio tour concludes, hop back on the ferry to Pier 33.

Next, head toward your designated meeting spot on Post Street for a tour of San Francisco. Hop aboard an air-conditioned coach and cruise along the city’s waterfront, taking in views of Alcatraz and the San Francisco Bay on your way to the Golden Gate Bridge (weather permitting).

Spend the morning visiting the historic Palace of Fine Arts, a monumental structure from the 1915 World’s Fair; stop for pictures at the panoramic viewpoint on Twin Peaks; and explore neighborhoods including North Beach, Chinatown, the Presidio, and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Your tour ends back on Post Street.

The "must do" on a visit to San Fran

This is a great tour and make sure you book well in advance of your visit to San Fran, such a popular tour and hard to get on....but well worth doing.

Alcatraz is a must-see attraction. Tons of history with a good narration using the headphones. You really get a sense of what it was like there. The bus tour with commentary is a good way to see the city. Make sure you get off at...More

I believe you can do that, if you have the time available. Gray Line have a daily city tour I gathered. It's the Alcatraz tour that is very specific with your tour time.
