Overview
Tread in the footsteps of world-champion sailors on this 2.5-hour America’s Cup Day Sail on San Francisco Bay. You’ll board a high-speed International America’s Cup class yacht and take a turn on the official race course from the 2013 competition. With a skilled sailor in charge, you’ll take your turn as crew working the sail trim controls and even have a chance to skipper the boat. After departing from San Francisco’s famous Pier 39 you’ll take to the Bay and cruise beneath the magnificent Golden Gay Bridge. There’s no better way to see the Bay than this sailing trip with USA 76.
What to Expect

Your trip will begin by checking in at Gate B, Pier 39 fifteen minutes prior to departure (Gate B is located behind the Aquarium of the Bay on the east side of Pier 39 close to The Embarcadero). Upon departure we will introduce the crew, have a safety brief, and share some history about the yacht. Then it is time hoist the sails and go yachting!

Participation is encouraged! With a mast that reaches 11 stories high, everything is big and powerful. You get to fill active crew roles and will have the opportunity to spin the sail trim controls known as “coffee grinders,” take your turn at the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the ride on this high-performance America’s Cup racing yacht.

While we are sailing you will enjoy spectacular views of San Francisco and the surrounding communities. We have complimentary water and energy bars available during the sail. There are no restroom facilities aboard this race yacht so we will instruct you where to use the restroom on land before departure.

Our crew enjoys sharing their knowledge about the America’s Cup and sailing on San Francisco Bay so bring lots of questions. If you enjoy your experience, gratuities for the crew are greatly appreciated.

Both your Captain and the yacht are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard for passenger service. USA 76 is a very stable yacht and sea sickness is never a problem for our guests. USA 76 can accommodate up to 20 guests at a time.

Worth it!

Awesome day sailing. Great views and explanations of the boat and how it works. Crew gets the passengers involved if you want to help out, including grinding, steering, and helping lift and put away the sails. Very fun...bring a jacket even if it's warm outside,...More

Picture-perfect day on the Bay -

1st time lifetime on a sailboat! Several highly experienced sailors on the Bay tour today along with first-timers; it made no difference at all. The crew was extremely friendly and inclusive, everybody had a chance to steer, and all had the opportunity to participate on...More

Great boat, great crew, great experience!

It was really a thrill to be on, and help sail, such a high performance boat. The captain and crew were fantastic; personable, but also very professional and competent. You could do as little or as much as you wanted to in terms of helping...More

Wonderful afternoon on the bay

We picked this to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday. It's definitely a splurge. But it couldn't have been more wonderful on a balmy September afternoon. We went on September 15 which turned out to be the day of the Rolex boat races, so the bay...More

So Worth It!

Highly recommend to the America’s Cup Sailing Adventure. I was able sail trim and be a skipper for bit. Also we watched the Rolex Regatta, the whales and the seals! Triple bonus!

Please call them to make that arrangement. Passengers are required to move quickly from one side of the craft to the other as it turns and keels over at 17% to balance the boat. Hope it all works out for you. My wife and I... More
