Overview
On this Alcatraz tour and San Francisco cruise combo, travel to the prison island by ferry and sightsee from a rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RIB). Enhance your Alcatraz visit with a provided audio tour, learning about what life was like on “The Rock.” Your cruise will get close to notable highlights such as the Presidio and the sea lions at Pier 39, and you’ll pass right under the Golden Gate Bridge.
What to Expect
The tour begins with a ferry ride to Alcatraz from Pier 33. Using your headset, take a self-guided “cell house” tour to learn how prisoners spent their time, and visit the solitary confinement area and cafeteria. You’ll see views of San Francisco and the bay while you walk around.

Return to Pier 33 and take a short stroll to catch your 90-minute RIB cruise. Pass close to the Ferry Building, the Presidio, and under the Golden Gate Bridge while your captain narrates stories. Stay dry with provided waterproof jacket and pants.

The itinerary is flexible, but you might also see a WWII Liberty Ship and Submarine, Fort Point, AT&T Park (during baseball games), and Coit Tower.

On the return journey to Pier 33, get close to the beloved sea lions on pier 39.

Put this at the top of your to-do list

A wonderful way to end the trip!

This was the last thing we did on a 2 week vacation and it was perfect! We saw Alcatraz in the morning. Lines moved fast. It was a lot of walking once on the island, so be prepared. The self-guided tour was interesting and the...More

After reading all the positive reviews in January we felt we must do this trip. After a brilliant Alcatraz trip we were excited about the Bay Voyager rib ride. We were not disappointed. Captain Brian was superb and took us under and past the Golden...More

One of the best tours in San Francisco!!!

I was able to take the best pictures out of three tours. My friend and I missed our first booking due to a bus tour that went an hour past it's time but Charles, the owner, gave us a chance to reschedule our trip. Brian,...More

I am not sure if the package deal is offered in November. The total time for both is variable. They are separate tours packaged together. We did the Alcatraz tour via the ferry: we left at 9:00 AM, we were told to be... More
