Overview
Explore the best of old and new San Francisco on this guided bike tour. Don’t stress about the city’s notoriously steep hills—our tour goes around them. Cruise through storied and emerging neighborhoods, as well as the Bay Area's most impressive urban park, Golden Gate, with a small group of like-minded cyclists. Stops include the Mission, Castro, Haight-Ashbury and Alamo Square. Bike, helmet and snacks are included.
What to Expect
Choose your departure time, morning or afternoon, then embark on your tour a few minutes southwest of downtown. Don’t worry if you’re not in tip-top shape; this tour is designed for the moderately fit cyclist—someone comfortable on a bike but not an enthusiast.

Pedal past charming Victorians, bustling commercial strips, lush gardens, towering Redwoods and the golden dome of City Hall and learn about San Francisco’s history. At the same time, witness the city’s booming present and see how newcomers are constantly transforming the City by the Bay, from Spanish colonists to peaceniks to techies.

Neighborhoods on the itinerary include Hayes Valley, Alamo Square, NoPa, Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury, Lower Haight, the Castro, the Mission, Civic Center.

I ended up in a small group with John Byrne Barry on the classic bike tour. The bikes were ready when we arrived, neatly labeled for each one of us based on the height info given during the reservation process. The ride is no problem...More

We finished around 12:30. I think we started at 9:30, so a 3 hour tour?
