Overview
Skip the traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge with these ferry tickets to Sausalito or Tiburon. Cruise across the San Francisco Bay past Angel Island and Alcatraz to the waterside towns, and hop right off the ferry instead of stressing about parking. Opt for a round-trip ticket to spend the day exploring restaurants, boutiques, and galleries before heading back to San Francisco.
What to Expect
Skip the box office line and head straight to Pier 41 to board your ferry. Choose to sit inside or outdoors to take in views during the roughly 30-minute ride to Sausalito or Tiburon.

Catch views of the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz while you cruise northward.

You have time to snag a drink or snack (own expense) before disembarking. After you disembark, you can catch any of the return ferries
running during your day of travel.

Browse Sausalito’s galleries and boutiques, or rent a kayak or bike to check out the town’s famous houseboats. Visit the concrete elephant sculptures at the entrance to Vina del Mar Park.

If you stop at Tiburon, check out Main Street, home to wine stores, antique shops, and galleries. Spend the day exploring the waterfront, Uplands Nature Preserve, or the Richardson Bay Audubon Center. You can also visit the local Railroad Museum or a restored redwood Gothic Church.

If you have a round-trip ticket, hop back on the ferry when you’re ready and finish the tour back at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Disorganized mess of a ferry

Terrible experience returning from Sausalito with a bike! We arrived at the ferry terminal 30 minutes prior to the ferry departure and after waiting in the hot sun, were told that the ferry had reached capacity for bikes. The next ferry would not be for...More

Boat Ride and Island Visit

Ticketing was easy. The available times were sufficient. It was a sunny day, so we rode outside - a little windy, but it felt so good. Mid-day so not a lot of people going over. However, on the way back about 6pm it was overloaded...More

Efficient ferry

They left on time both ways. Nice clean and tidy ship with no dramas at all. The trip to Sausalito isn't cheap at $12.50 per person each way ($50 for a couple return). Lots of people do one way by bike and return by boat...More
