Itinerary

To start off this combo tour, head to Pier 33 to catch the ferry to Alcatraz Island.

Once you reach the island, go on a self-guided audio tour and listen to award-winning commentary available in 11 languages. You can also tour its historic gardens and spot birds and wildlife. After viewing Alcatraz, take the ferry back to Pier 33 in time to catch your evening cruise.

Your next cruise takes off in the evening from Pier 43, so make your way with plenty of time to board the boat. On the boat, you decide if you’d like to stay outside on the deck or head to the inside deck to stay warm. Both decks offer views as you sail under the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. The cruise also includes a buffet of light appetizers, a drink ticket for wine or beer, and onboard commentary and live music.

Your cruise ends back at Fisherman’s Wharf.

Two trips in one fell swoop

Well recommend this little combo. We were only in San Francisco for two nights and this ticked all our boxes. Alcatraz during the day, sunset cruise in the evening. From misery to money, Alcatraz is a hugely successful tourist attraction. Something very creepy about it....More

Fairly standard on drinks and options. We had 2 kids with us and no problems finding something for everyone. I would call the food Heavy Appetizers, meaning I wouldn’t count on it as being dinner, but it’s certainly more... More

I assume it’s open in April but I’m not sure. Definitely book well ahead of time. Alcatraz is usually a month or two out.
