      Great people, well organised.
Excellent organisation and staff. We did both the Remutaka 1-day ride and the Palliser 1-day ride. Both Johnny and Joe were great people and very helpful. Joe gave us a great overview of the history of Martinborough and the coast which we enjoyed. The provided lunch was very good too. We were slightly disappointed that the Palliser ride was all road, but still an enjoyable day. We took our own e-bikes.

      Great day in Martinborough
We hired the rickshaw for the day, it had electric assist which made it really easy to get to all the vineyards. The staff were really nice and our bike was in excellent condition.

Remutaka Rail Trail, Palliser Bay, Tora, Martinborough
Six days of mountain biking with history, Maori culture, archeology and research stories, heritage, local accommodation, cuisine and wine. Loved how Green Jersey had surprises for us. And their regular itinerary and safety briefings were spot on. A real privilege to cross private property with high coastal views and sites of national significance. Jo, Johnny, Marty and Leo made us feel like we were their most important guests. Huge praise to Green Jersey. This trip was a perfect combination of guidance and time to do your own thing. A reasonable level of cycling competency required. We were a group of average retirement age, mostly on e-bikes, who ride regularly and are confident on or off-road. Expect a day of ruggedness and enjoy the thrill and satisfaction. Fantastic value for money. GJ use all local providers who are hospitable, welcoming Kiwis. Loved every minute. Do it!

Remutaka Rail Trail - One day ride
The Remutaka Rail Trail is a fabulous day out. The service from Green Jersey was excellent. The bikes are excellent quality and made the ride comfortable and safe. The instructions were clear, maps and safety equipment was included. Our host Jo, was a wealth of information about the area. The ride itself is so varied from bucolic pastoral scenery to dramatic swing bridges over native forest. The track ranges from smooth compacted lime to narrow, rocky bike trails. We took eBikes, which we were very thankful for. I would highly recommend Green Jersey and the Remutaka Rail Trail.

      Excellent customer service
Massive shout out to the team at Green Jersey Cycle Tours. We had booked a tour and needed to postpone then, unfortunately, ultimately cancel our booking. Despite this, we experienced excellent customer service throughout. Well done

      Great biking
We rented bikes for the day to explore the countryside and see wineries farther from town. James was very helpful getting bikes that fit and gave us a great 20km bike route through the countryside that was quiet and scenic. Bikes were in good working order. Rental process was fast.

      Great experience
Alex and Bronwyn were absolutely brilliant fixing the problem when the pedal fell off my own bike when riding into Martinborough. Alex managed to do a temporary fix that got me riding my bike to Masterton. I was impressed by their absolute professionalism and would recommend them to any potential clients.

Great three days biking and entertainment
Fantastic 3: day tour. We loved all of it and the personal service especially Bronwyn who looked after us superbly running us around and putting up with our humour and ribbing well. They also organised fantastic breakfasts, lunches and restaurants for dinner which were high quality. Highly recommend the trips to Rimutaka trail and Cape Palliser. They also track you in case anything goes wrong or you can press alarm for rescue if needed. Thanks guys we had an awesome time.

Enjoyed the rides but thought Company was a bit disorganised
Really enjoyed our first day on the Cape Palliser Ride over Cape Palliser Station and out to the Lighthouse. Joe our guide was really informative and friendly. Our second day we did a 40km loop ride but the instructions were a bit confusing and felt there should have been a few signs in places to guide us. The third day we did the Rimutaka Ride and got wet and when we got to the Cafe at the end we had to wait about 3/4 hour to be picked up and were extremely cold by the time the Shuttle came. Thanks to the Cahoots Cafe Staff in Greytown that looked after us. The Accommodation and meals we had at various restuarants were awesome. Definitely would recommend Martinborough cuisine. Did feel though the company were a little disorganised at times but the Staff were friendly

3 day Remutaka cycle trail and wine tour
5 couples, 3 days and nights and a ton of fun. Green Jersey Explorer tours put together an amazing package which was outstanding. The accommodation & food was above our expectation and the shuttle service and guides were everything we asked for.

      Easter weekend bike hire
Booking was relatively easy online. We had emailed three days prior to change an ebike to a standard bike but I guess they never got it so we paid for one & never turned it on. Another of the bikes was stuck on high unless you stopped, turned the bike off & back on again. The driver tried to fix it but couldn't. Disappointed they were 35 minutes late for pick up, soso cold waiting outside, they did ring to say the driver would be ten minutes late though. So much information given re the Remutaka cycle trail before we cycled off, so much so that we all switched off & forgot the lot - hard to get lost though! It was a fun day just incredibly expensive to hire four bikes & be dropped at the starting point but everything in NZ travel seems to be increasing in price so its not just this company in fairness.

      Ask for Simon
Green Jersey tours transported us to and from the Tora walk. Simon was our guide and driver. We could not have asked for better- a real gentleman. He took us around the wineries on the way to the Tora walk and was very knowledgeable about the region and any topic we brought up. The trip back was under difficult flood conditions and Simon kept us calm and got us back to Wellington safely. Highly recommended.

Great shuttle bus service from Wellington via Martinborough to Kawakawa Station
We booked Green Jersey Explorer bus to pick us up from Wellington airport and take us via Martinborough to Kawakawa Station (and return three days later). Simon, the driver met us at the airport, offered us options for stop offs on the way and provided an interesting commentary for the Martinborough area. It was an efficient, friendly, and reliable service.

If its a challenging fun diverse adventure you're looking for - then this is it.
A group of 10 joined with the awesome tour guides from Green Jersey Explorer Tours for a 6 day biking excursion in the Wairarapa. We all voted the exhilarating adventure 10/10. We did the following: 1. Traversed the Remutaka ranges, 2. Explored the delights of Ngawi, 3. Enjoyed a visit to Palliser Ridge and the sweeping views of Palliser Bay, 4. Climbed to the Palliser Bay Lighthouse, 5. Biked the rugged coast from the Lighthouse to Tora, across private land and many streams and rivers, up and down gnarly steep rocky inclines. 6. Biked a steady up hill 55km from Tora to Martinborough Accommodation and Food was brilliant. We stayed in: Lacewood 2 nights at the elegant Tuhitarata Estate with gracious hosts Rob and Janelle - we were spoilt with a scrumptious gourmet dinner party by and with our hosts. Waimeha Camping Village in Ngawi with fun host John Tora Cookhouse for 2 days with Massages, Italian Cooking Lessons with Lucia, Diving for Paua & Crayfish, walks & swimming, Night sky watching with professional Beck Batemen and our fun host Tora (Alistair) Last night at the White Swan Hotel in Greytown. We all agreed that this is right up there in terms of fun, challenging, adrenaline pumping adventure with fabulous accommodation and food. Congrats to Green Jersey Cycle Tours for providing such a diverse fantastic trip. Special kudos to Rosemary for her excellent management and Johnny our main man - tour guide extraordinaire.

      Cape Palliser coastal explorer tour
We had a great day on this full day tour with Joe as our driver/ guide around the south Waiarapa area. Incredibly knowledgeable, Joe gave us an amazing day showing and explaining the history, geology and scenery of the area. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Joe as your tour guide to get to know as much about the area and see the sites of Martinborough and the south Waiarapa coast around to Cape Palliser light house

A group of 6 (senior) adults hired a 6 seater bike for our winery tour and we loved it! The experience is something we won't forget and the scenery and wine tour were fantastic. My advice to those of you over 40, follow the instructions the staff give you on which direction to go to start your tour. The staff at GJ were great and the cost of the hirage was cheaper than we thought it would be. They (GJ) have many different style/types of bikes to hire so just give them a call and they'll sort it for you! My only negative comment is, if you're around the 6ft height your knees take a bit of a beating as the gap between you and the frame is quite skinny! Next time we go back we're thinking of hiring a Rikshaw. Thanks GJ

We hired some very comfortable bikes to undertake our own mini wine tour and had a great time - bike was comfortable and easy to ride and the wineries (we called in to four) were very good. Friendly check-in and safety briefing. We'll do this again!

PS We didn't take advantage of it but Green Jersey will pick up the wine you buy and return it safely to their shop.

Rather than drink and drive this was a great option. Basic 3 speed bike but all you need. We did a circuit out to Te Muna and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pick up by the company of wines you buy is a most useful add on.

Centrally located and friendly service. This is the best way to experience the local wineries... they will even pick up your wine purchases and have them waiting for you on your return.

We were taking advantage of a couple of days off midweek. We intended to hire a couple of bikes and hit the wineries. When we arrived at Green Jersey, it looked closed up. We went around the back and discovered Bronwyn who confirmed that they were indeed closed on Wednesdays through winter.
However Bronwyn offered to hire us a couple of bikes, went through the winery list to tell us what ones would be open and even offered to go pick up any wine we might buy. This is outstanding service for what turned out to be the only two people on bikes that day! Highly recommended
