A TOUR NOT TO BE MISSED!!
Our private tour with Carla was tremendous and should be experienced by all. It was an easy walking tour that lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. Carla walks you around Leesburg and shows you the beautiful architecture of the historic buildings, discusses the history, and even points out great places to eat in the area. You really get a special feel for Leesburg that is invaluable. Carla is so knowledgeable and quite charming. You will love her special tour and enjoy yourself thoroughly!

Great way to spend some time outdoors!
Walking Tour last Saturday morning and I had a wonderful time! I had a delightful tour of Historic Leesburg's beautiful properties with a combination of history, wonderful local lore and great descriptions of several of the fascinating architectural gems in this charming town. The tour was the perfect length of time, about one hour. The walk was a charming stroll on brick sidewalks through historic neighborhoods. The tour guide was very nice and had a great deal of knowledge about the history of Leesburg. She kept things moving at a nice pace throughout the tour and wove together a combination of tales from history that were tremendously engaging. I highly recomend HIstoric Leesburg Walking Tours.

This tour was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Leesburg, whether for their first time or their tenth. The monument and historic buildings are well preserved, and having Carla point out their architectural details and the stories behind them was time well spent. Loved it!

My dad and I had a wonderful tour experience with Carla. She has so much passion for the history and architecture of Leesburg and pointed out so many amazing details that I'd never heard before. It was a great tour, even on a rainy cold March day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, visitors or VA residents, who would like to learn more about the interesting history of Leesburg!

I booked a private tour with Carla and it was a great idea. Outdoor activities are necessary nowadays and when they are hosted by a knowledgeable host who takes her time explaining what you are looking at, it's time (and money) well spent.

Without Carla's explanations, I would never have known what was hiding behind all these buildings.

A must do, especially with a host who will respect all necessary precautions, such as wearing a mask and respecting social distancing.

Leesburg is a great local daytrip from DC (~ 45 minutes) and filled with rich history. Carla took us back in time as we walked around the beautiful downtown streets. Her tour helped us notice the various historic architectural design that is scattered throughout local houses and churches dating back to the 17th century. She highlighted stories involving famous American figures that we would have never known! Once the tour completes, make sure to ask Carla for some of her favorite local spots (we tried all of them and they didn't disappoint!)

Carla was wonderful with my mom. It was cold, but she took her time to walk my 80 year old mom’s pace and give our family a wonderful depth of history. I had no idea Leesburg was steeped in so much history. If you are looking for an educational family event, I highly recommend Carla’s tour:)

This tour is precisely as advertised. We wanted a small group tour of Leesburg focused on its history, and we got it. Carla was extremely well-informed and entertained with little tidbits of lore as well as the provable history. Since almost all the buildings of interest are in private hands, there is no going-inside in Leesburg. She hits a dozen significant buildings, and they are fortunately within blocks of each other in downtown Leesburg. Wear good walking shoes and have your water bottle if appropriate. We were there on a Sunday and the parking in the downtown garage was ample and free. Don't miss visiting the Loudoun County Museum that is right by the garage (and that Carla highlights as you walk). Carla's website has online booking that works.

We were strolling around the historic streets of Leesburg and came upon a person giving a guided walking tour to a young couple. What I overheard the tour guide saying about some of the historic buildings was very interesting. We plan to sign up for this guided tour in the next couple of months !

Carla blended historical insights of this charming town with beautiful examples of the numerous different architectural styles. The walking tour was at a leisurely pace but we actually visited more than a dozen sites . I came away with a new appreciation of some of the lesser-known people and events in US history that occurred in my backyard. We enjoyed every moment of the tour!

Had a great time on our walking tour. Just what we wanted - history, architecture, and little known facts. And a lunch recommendation that was fantastic. Our guide, Carla ?, owns the business and leads these private tours 3-4 times a week. How lucky were we! It was about 80 minutes of walking on mostly brick side walks, and mostly flat. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Leesburg!

We really enjoyed Carla’s walking tour of Leesburg. It’s amazing how many historic events (Revolutionary War, Civil War) took place in the few blocks we walked. Also really enjoyed the architectural information. It’s lovely that so many old historic buildings are very well cared for and restored. You’ll see many cute restaurants and bars on the tour- we enjoyed lunch at Shoe’s Cup & Cork afterward. The pace is an easy walk and the duration was exactly as stated, an hour and 20 mins. Easy to fit in to our schedule on a weekend visit. Thank you, Carla!
