Nice ride but you don’t see a lot
The ride was nice but we didn’t really go anywhere. It was a beautiful day to be on the water and we enjoyed that. Would have loved to go a little farther out.

      Loved everything but the music
We took the 1:00 Dolphin Tour and we did see a few. We absolutely loved our trip. We were lucky to have gorgeous , warm weather so being out on the water was refreshing. The only downside for us and the reason I only gave 4 stars is that after the first 20 minutes or so, they started to play music. It was music we enjoyed but we preferred the quiet, listening to the lapping of the water and the creaking of the boat which we’d found almost meditative.

Boat ride to see the Dolphins
Talk about an amazing water ride. Peaceful, Beautiful, Relaxing. Saw a few dolphins which was amazing. Especially when there was a group of them. The crew put the sale up, turned the engine off and that's when we sat back and enjoyed the ride. I forgot to say, you can by drinks on the boat. I would definitely recommend the ride. The crew was great.

      Relaxing
We went as part of our anniversary trip. The weather was great with a brisk breeze for sailing. Vey peaceful and relaxing. The crew was friendly and did a good job of sailing her. We would definitely go again.

      Set Sail on the Schooner!!
Sooooo happy we chose to set sail on The Schooner Pride!! The ride was smooth, the sails were HUGE, there was a great breeze & drinks!! Part of our group was uncertain in the beginning about being out on a boat but thoroughly enjoyed their time, too! Friendly & informative staff.

Beautiful way to see Charleston area!
I took two tours on the Pride 30 years ago. It has always been one of my highlights. My grandson and his wife now live in Charleston, so I wanted to treat them to this wonderful and relaxing experience! They were just as delighted as I was! Some people complain that there is no narration about the scenery. We asked the staff questions and they told us so many fascinating things about what we were seeing and gave us a rich history lesson. We took the sunset cruise which I highly recommend! It is the perfect way to end a day in beautiful and historic Charleston!

      Horrible!!!
They canceled 30 minutes before we departed, after driving 1 and 1/2 hours to get here, then tell me it’ll take a week to 10 days to get my money back. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! FIND ANOTHER TOUR!!!!

      So so
The ship was clean . The crew was nice . No dolphins. Circled only the Harbour . Since there were not any dolphins to see, might have been nice if the crew pointed out historical sites and told you about them.

      Disappointing
The crew was pleasant enough, but you're under engine power for about 50% of the trip total. It was fine, but not worth the cost--I'd recommend the water taxi instead, you get to see pretty much as much of the harbor, seating was nicer, and at 1/5 the cost.

      Fun Day on the Schooner
This Schooner Sightseeing trip was wonderful. My family really enjoyed this. The Captain and her crew were so fun and informative. We will definitely do this again when we visit Charleston.

      Disappointing
The crew was very nice and the ride was relaxing but we circled the same area for 90 minutes. There was no narration which if you are circling the same area it would be hard to talk about the same sites over and over. Only saw a few dolphins in the distance. Our group did many tours over 3 days and this was the most disappointing.

Relaxing sail, but no info about harbor offered and no dolphins.
The sail out an around the harbor was nice, but nothing special. The crew were friendly, but there was no one offering up info about the harbor sights, history or marine life. We only saw a couple of dolphins near the boat before we sailed, none after that. Overall, it was a bit boring.

      Good trip
Staff/crew were excellent - very friendly and knowledgeable. Boat trip itself was a bit of a disappointment. We sailed for a bit into the bay then turned around and headed back. Not a dolphin in sight (I do understand that they can't be guaranteed!) and we didn't come close to Fort Sumter. But it was a beautiful afternoon and we were afforded great views of the bridge (name escapes me) and of Charleston.

      Disappointing ride
We never even left the harbor and just went in circles around a cruise ship. There were multiple people who were asked if they wanted drinks. My wife and I were never asked if we wanted something to drink. The deckhand acknowledged we were not asked and still did not address us. Other passengers were complaining about the cost of the drinks. It was very disappointing and not worth the money. We did see a few dolphins but the crew said it was the passengers’ responsibility to let others know where the dolphins were.

      Enjoyable and relaxing
We had a great time on the Schooner Pride. The Captain and crew were excellent. My son was given an opportunity to steer the ship and enjoyed it so much he’s asking to go on the ship again. We didn’t get to see any dolphins unfortunately but it was still well worth it and extremely enjoyable.

We may have enjoyed it more had this been our first time. The former captain and crew, although the deckhands did change from year to year, sing so much more experience. It was always great to watch them at work. The new crew seems rather novice and more like flight attendants.. By that I mean taking drink orders was their main priority is seams. The cost was quite a bit more and the experience was less damn before.

The cruise was nice, but during the cruise they start letting you choose which beverage you would like to drink. It is offered in such a way that you think it is free, however near the end of the cruise they come around and ask you for payment for the beverage you chose. I thought this was rather tricky, especially considering the price of the beverages. They should be up front with you that they are charging for the drinks they are handing out. This was kind of a spoiler for me and because of this I won't ever take this cruise again when I return to Charleston. I have been on two other Schooner ship rides in other states and those were much better than this one in Charleston Harbor.

Our sunset sail was fabulous! We were lucky and had a clear day so the sunset was phenomenal. Got some great photos! It was colder than we expected out on the water - make sure to wear layers and have a jacket/coat. A scarf and/or gloves and a blanket would actually help. Everyone was required to wear a mask and that actually helped our faces stay warm. We brought our own snacks and the staff took drink orders and brought us wine (in a can). We saw several dolphins on our sail. All in all it was one of our favorite things we did in Charleston!

What an amazing sailing tour of the Charleston harbor area!! Thank you, Captain Andrew and his wonderful crew!!! It was our last full day in Charleston and we picked the best activity to wrap up our stay in this charming city. The sailing experience was incredible and so the price for the ticket was totally worth it! I highly recommend this activity to any tourists who plan on having a boat tour. I am a teacher and so I give this experience an A+ rating!

Horrible customer service! I booked to sail in April. Obviously they are not sailing. They even admitted they are not sailing. According to their website they would give a refund if the captain cancelled. I think this qualifies as a cancellation.
I could not reach anyone by phone but managed to get someone to text me. They told me that they would only give me a gift card since I did not purchase tour insurance. There is no option to purchase your insurance.
Disrespectful, rude, and doesn’t even live up to the cancellation procedures on their own website.

We are sorry that you felt our customer service team was rude. We assure you this was not the case. We do not mention refunds on our website and guests agree to tickets being non refundable prior to agreeing to purchase. During this time, we have extended the ability to re-book to another date or receive an open ended credit for future use. There is no expiration date on the gift card, so that can be used when you are able to travel.

A friend of mine recommended this cruise to me and I’m super happy I listened. What a great way to end my Charleston trip. It was really fun watching the dolphins and the sunset and drinking until it gets dark. We were accompanied by good music and personable staff. There’s not much food selection but we had fun nevertheless. I will probably be back!

My mom and I loved the sunset sail! The sky was beautiful, and after sweating it out in the humidity all day, it felt great to be out on the water. Crew was friendly. I only wish that for the price, that one beverage or one photo would be included.

The sunset cruise was amazing and the perfect ending to our vacation. The weather was perfect and the views were beautiful. Also, the crew members were great and went out of their way to engage with every person on the cruise. They were willing to answer any questions or just chat. They were very friendly. I would recommend this sailing trip to anyone who visits Charleston.

This was me and my hubby’s favorite thing we did on our anniversary trip to Charleston. The sunset was stunning, the staff were funny and informative, and we saw several dolphins! This isn’t a narrated tour, but the guys are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Don’t hesitate, book it!

The cruise is comfortable, easy to board, the crew is accommodating and quite helpful with the sights. Drinks are available. When the crew hoists the sales, it is a very calming and relaxing sail. We very much enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
