Overview
Imagine a perfectly planned day in the Hunter Valley. On this small-group tour with no more than 14 participants, you will taste wines at 4 or 5 top wineries (small, boutique and large), travel in comfort in a luxury van, be entertained by your knowledgeable guide, enjoy a cheese and wine matching experience and a chocolate and wine matching experience, take a tranquil vineyard walk (weather permitting), stop for a generous antipasto lunch overlooking the vines, join a fun and tasty brewery tour and see kangaroos and local wildlife. Pickup and drop-off from your Hunter Valley accommodation is also included.
Highlights
  • Let someone else take care of driving while you visit at least four wineries
  • Sit down to a vineyard picnic lunch in Hunter Valley
  • Sample local cheese, chocolate, olives, berries, and more at a craft brewery
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off are included
What to Expect
Your morning starts with a pickup from your Hunter Valley hotel by private van. Meet your driver/guide and hit the road for wineries nearby.
Visit four or five small and large wineries for private wine and cheese tastings and a vineyard tour. Plus, receive a cheese and wine pairing guide.
For lunch, sit down in a vineyard and tuck into a meal of local cheese, chicken, smoked trout, pickles, bread, and olives with more wine.
Next, tour a craft brewery, and take part in wine and chocolate tastings. If there’s time afterward, look for kangaroos in the wild.
Your tour ends with a late afternoon drop-off at your hotel.

I would think you'd have to make your way to The Hunter Valley before booking the wine tour. Otherwise, half of your day would be taken up by travelling up from Sydney. Best to give them a call though to double check!
