      Incredible waterfall and swim!
Had a great time on the tour. There were only 3 tourists and the tour guide so it was easy getting to know everyone. The tour guide is very friendly and down to earth. The hike is fun but can be challenging is some places. There is a lot of rock scrambling. This is easy to handle but may take a miss for people with low fitness or mobility issues. The waterfall was incredible and the highlight of the tour and my time in Australia. The pool underneath is lovely to swim in. The town is also cute and the barbecue was nice. Would recommend.

Cape Lighthouse, the farm and Bangalow
A really fun tour to see the touristy spots of Byron Bay, the Cape Lighthouse experience was the highlight of the tour but The Farm and Bangalow town are great if you've never been before. Our tour guide was very informative, learnt many things about each spot. Would do something like this again next time we're back!

      Fantastic Byron Bay Tour
Tom Ihle is an exceptional tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He 's a great conversationlist, easy going and took care of our comfort on a hot day. He tweaked our iternary a bit so we avoided exherting ourselves in the heat. And we were also able to add Wategos beach for a quick stop. I recommend Tom highly for small tours and short corporate ones as well.

      A Personal Tour!
Wow a personal tour with Tom as we were the only 2 who had booked! Only had this one day free in Bryon as part of our tour down the east coast yet even though there were only the two of us booked the tour went ahead. We had a great time. Highlights were the Crystal Castle, the Lighthouse (including dolphins!) and our lunch personally cooked by Tom! Thank you

      Beautiful scenery and breathtaking views!
Beautiful and serene beaches 🏖 nice walk and a sight to behold - I believe that’s what Byron bay is all about. It has nice small little town centre, beautiful lighthouse and scenic drive. A must visit by any visitor in the area and around.

      Awesome full day tour
Me and my friend were the only ones that booked for this date and so we got told it would be a private tour. Had an excellent tour overall! Tour guide was very friendly, understanding and accomodating, we were able to swap going in one of the falls to go to a different destination. The veggie patties were delish! Very filing lunch at the park. kayaking was great, but unfortunately we did not see dolphins or sea turtles. We saw a bit of a whale at the end of it but never the less , 100% recommend!!

      Amazing day!!!
Toby was my tour guide, although Minyon falls was closed Due to construction work, I was taken on two other lovely waterfalls tours!! Toby was accomodating, very helpful & lovely throughout. The two other people that were booked in for the tour had canceled due to the wet weather so I was on a solo tour!!! It was stunning in the rain. I’m so glad I did this tour! Great day, definitely worth it, Thankyou Toby :)

      Nice tour
Tour was excellent, visiting the lighthouse where we got to see lots of whales frolicking in the water, then saw a local wallaby feeding in his natural habitat. Then we visited the Farm and then off to Bangalow for a look around town. Lucas our guide looked after us very well.

Great Tour, Tom was a very informative tour guide
My girlfriend and I had a great time on the tour. Tom was very informative and very nice and knowledgeable. The trek down to the bottom of the waterfall was about one hour, not too difficult. You can swim at the bottom which was refreshing (very cold however!) , after this we went to a nice camp site area and had a lovely lunch and snacks followed by 40 minutes in a town called Bangalow which was a lovely town.

Excellent half day trip from Byron Bay
When I got to Byron Bay. There were two sites I wanted to see. Bangalow and the lighthouse. It would’ve been hard for a tourist without a car to do both. Then I found Byron Bay Adventure Tour’s half day trip which not only covered both , but also added a visit to a sustainable farm. It was perfect. Tom, the guide, was very knowegeable and I learned a lot. Very pleasant way to spend a morning. Highly recommended!

We booked the tour a few weeks ago as a recommendation from a friend. We were picked up from the Visitor Center along with the rest of the group. The car arrived on time and the driver was very friendly. When we arrived at the top of the walk we received plenty of water bottles to keep us going. The view from the car park lookout was spectacular with tons of water shooting down. The walk itself was great with our tour guide explaining a lot about the area and answering any questions we had. The rock section at the end was a pleasant challenge. When we got to the bottom our tour guide handed out snacks and topped up all our water bottles. We had a swim in the rock pool and even stood underneath the water fall, which was an amazing experience. After we finished the walk we went to a lookout at the top of the waterfall and got to look down to where we were swimming before. After that we headed to our lunch area where our guide cooked us a delicious barbecue style lunch. I would most definitely recommend this tour to anyone who’s staying in the area.

I received the Minyon falls walk as a present and my wife also bought a ticket and joined me in one of the most wonderfull adventures we have been on our guide Tom picked us us from Byron Bay in his 4wd and thats were the adventure started his knowledge and passion for the area was so informative he drove us to Minyon falls were we started our trek to the base of the falls were i was able to have a swim base .

Tom then drove us to a lookout overlooking to falls we had just trekked you then get a great appreciation of the distance you have covered.

We then went a nearby National park camping ground were Tom cooked us up hamburgers and we had a chance to relax and take in the wonderful rainforest we then returned home via Bangalow this gave my wife a chance have a shop and me a Beer at the pub.

    Thanks Tom for great memory

We ended up on a private tour with our guide to the waterfall and hinterland area. He was very knowledgeable and great conversationalist. At the waterfall he was instrumental giving first aid to a woman not in our group who sprained her ankle on the boulders coming back. He was super caring to ensure we were not too rushed in our walk.

Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves a hike in the rainforest.

This day tour was okay but certainly not worth the 149$! The small car that took us there didnt have good air conditioning (at least it didnt reach the back), there was a terrible fuel smell because somebody had forgotten to close the lid, and the guide was not local as we had hoped but instead from Germany. Walk to the waterfal is nice but if you have a car, you could easily do the track on your own. Guide pointed out a few things during the walk that we often didnt hear from the back. We didnt learn a lot about the history of the place, the plants and animals.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your experience with Byron Bay Adventure Tours. However I feel your review is unfair. The car you are claiming “small” was a regular 8 seat full size 4WD. The air condition doesn’t work to well if you open your window. Sorry about the fuel smell: the driver fixed it straight after you have mentioned it. You had a beautiful sunny day at Minyon Falls with a nice group. After your rainforest walk you went swimming in the plunge pool of the falls with lots of water cascading down the 100m drop and you enjoyed your snacks and delicious vegetarian option of the BBQ-style lunch. And like the rest of the group you’ve got a comprehensive interpretation from our guide about the history of the area and the plants and animals on the way.

I’d give it ten stars if I could
Two of us went on a day trip to minyon falls with Tom as our guide (not a private tour but we were the only ones)
Tom was so accommodating, knowledgable and just overall fantastic company. On the drive he told us about the history of Byron bay and pointed out interesting landmarks and plant nurseries.

On the actual hike, he was very knowledgable about the plants and animals and we learned quite a few fun facts. I noticed that he warned us every time the ground got slippery and he showed us where to put our feet when it got to the rocky bits.

As cliche as it is the waterfalls were magical! We were allowed to swim in the little pool underneath for as long as we wanted. It’s chest height and as you get closer to the waterfall it becomes deeper. You can go underneath the waterfall too. Tom took a million photos for us and they turned out amazing - i’ve attached one of them which he took

Afterwards we were driven to another great lookout and then had a cute picnic with tasty burgers.

Just had a fantastic time from start to end is all I can say! Thank you for the memories!!!!
