Overview

Explore Portland in style by luxury vehicle. Get the lay of the land with a half-day tour of the city, which includes a few top attractions, an overview of city neighborhoods, and green spaces with your guide. This small-group tour is designed for visitors who want to go beyond the main sights to get to know Portland’s diverse neighborhoods and history, and to learn about native flora and fauna.

What to Expect
Start the day with pick-up at your downtown Portland hotel and enjoy pastries and seasonal snacks as you settle into your luxury van and make your way to the Pittock Mansion to delve into Portland’s history and take in city views from the mansion’s manicured grounds.

Next, get your bearings with a tour of the city’s four quadrants, stopping to explore the shops, art galleries, restaurants, and bars that give Hawthorne, Alberta, The Pearl District, and other neighborhoods their distinct identities.

Then tour at least two of Portland’s parks to learn about native plants and animals with your guide. You might explore wooded walking trails at Mount Tabor, walk the graceful lawns and ponds of Laurelhurst Park, sniff up to 500 varieties of roses at the International Rose Test Garden, or take in panoramic views from Washington Park, depending on the season.

You also stop at Powell’s Books, one of the largest bookstores in the world, before being returned to your downtown Portland hotel.

A great overall view of the city.

Marcus did a great job of getting us around the city. However, it was quite foggy that morning and the views we were meant to see were not possible.

Thanks for your comments. We are certainly proud of our guides, and have often considered ways to visit Powell's. In the end, our tour is an introduction and overview of the city, and a visit to Powell's would take a huge amount of time out...More

We booked the Portland City Tour and were lucky to get Paul as our guide. Even though we were the only people to book the tour on this particular day, they did not cancel or try to reschedule. Instead, they gave us a full private...More

I didn’t see any free parking. But we parked at an open lot with an attendant just across the street. It was not free, but it was a very good rate for the entire day.

We were in a large van, but I don’t recall a ramp. The tour itself is accessible, but I’m not sure about the transportation. I highly advise emailing the company with your question though!
