      Great fun!
The weather was average the day we went but we had a great time. As it was a small group and we all agreed we got to a hike and see an extra waterfall. Informative guide and free water on the tour.

Very good views of the waterfalls along the Columbia River.
The tour was enjoyable, and we stopped at all the vista points. Weather was mildly cold and cloudy, but no rain. Eric, the driver, narrated almost non-stop; with good info, he also oversold the beauty of the Portland area with all the waterfalls, and we're from the Bay Area having visited Yosemite, Iguazu Falls, etc.

      Nice selection of wineries!
Excellent tour! Dominque, our guide, had an amazing breadth of knowledge about the Valkey and wines. Really appreciated the selection of wineries we visited! All distinctly enjoyable in their own way.

      Waterfall tour with Aaron
What a beautiful day! Aaron was our tour guide and he was excellent. He has so much knowledge about the area, it was hard to take it all in. This was our first time to Portland, and I learned so much just from these 4 hrs. I would definitely give Aaron and the tour a 5++++! Thank you so much for sharing the morning with us.

Perfect half day tour of Portland to be immersed in nature!
Super fun trip right out of Portland to 4 different waterfalls & then a final stop at Vista House. Our driver, David, was excellent— he was super knowledgeable about the area, able to answer any questions, kept everyone on time, and was happy to take photos for guests. There were multiple opportunities to use restrooms along the way. The van was comfortable, we were provided with water, and we felt safe the entire time. October feels like the perfect time to visit as the leaves are just beginning to change & it’s gorgeous. David was also able to drop us back off at a beer garden for food on the way back, which was much appreciated. Would definitely do again!

      Waterfalls and Autumn Color
This was a fantastic trip and chance to see several waterfalls and trees changing color. Our guide, Aaron (sp?), was so full of information and happily shared his knowledge and interests about the area with us. He always made sure we had what we needed to truly enjoy this experience. We had ample time at each stop and thoroughly enjoyed the half-day tour, and 100 percent would recommend for someone visiting Portland.

See the Columbia River Gorge with a tour!
We had a private tour and it was wonderful. The guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area we were visiting. The vehicle was clean and quite comfortable. I recommend seeing this area with a tour so you can focus on what you are seeing without driving challenging roads and not hassle with parking. Our guide made good use of our time with him by taking us to several beautiful and special waterfalls. Great experience!

      Perfect mini tour!
This half day tour was perfect. We had plenty of time at each stop and didn’t feel rushed at all. Daniel our guide was great, he was very knowledgeable and even showed us plants that were edible. The van was very comfy and had plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely recommend!

The tour was wonderful; we saw a number of sites in a single day, but the pacing rarely felt rushed. Our guide, Daniel, was filled with local knowledge, which he gladly shared, making the tour that much more interesting. The stop at the Draper Girl's Farm Stand was the only disappointment: a) that is the one time we felt a bit rushed; b) the clerk there treated us as if we were an imposition and an inconvenience. She had a very dour expression and was not at all friendly. Most of the people purchased their overpriced items, so there was no cause for her to be so surly. Beyond that one small hiccup, the tour was amazing and I highly recommend it.

The only reason to take this tour is the scenery, which is fantastic. But the van that the company uses is small and not suitable for taller and/or larger customers, Of the 12 people on our tour, only two had good seats from which to view the scenery. Our tour guide was knowledgeable but lacking in social skills and verbally berated several of the people on the tour. We would not take another tour offered by this company or recommend it to any of our friends or family.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback! We do try our best to make sure the tour vehicles are as comfortable as possible for our guests. We operate in 14-passenger vehicles with high roofs and large windows, which create quite a bit more breathing room than a standard height 14-passenger vehicle. Additionally, we choose to cap our tour groups at a maximum of 12 people, which allows the vehicle to have a minimum of two empty seats for each tour so as to create more wiggle room and alleviate the feeling of being packed in. We apologize this did not meet your standards. Regarding the guide, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and find this feedback unusual. We will check in with your guide and all our our guides about their touring experience, customer service and make any corrections we can. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide your review! Thank you, Wildwood Adventures

It was a nice sunny day for the trip. Really enjoyed the shop (I think it's named "Draper Girls") where you would get fresh produce, beer, and cider hand-picked/made by local farmers. Had to buy a bottle of their cherry cider, it was astounding. Hood River was a nice town to hang out at and props to the guide for giving us a few extra minutes to check out some of the talented wind-surfers. The views of Mt. Hood were exquisite from all angles which was the primary reason for us joining this tour. Although I wish we had more time to spend at Mt. Hood and Timberline Lodge. I guess you need a separate day for it. Overall, it was a nice day out, and would definitely recommend newcomers, tourists, or people without cars to take this tour and enjoy one of the most beautiful areas of Oregon.

Everything as advertised and well worth it! The group was small enough to feel intimate and our guides Monet and David were fantastic. It’s our first time in Oregon and the guides made us feel so welcomed, we highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see what Columbia River Gorge and Mt Hood has to offer.

The tour guide is a very experienced person who explained a lot of local knowledge along the way. It's just that the time is a bit too rushed, and the lunch restaurant introduced by the tour guide is also very good. My friend and I also drank good beer..

Booking this tour was by far the best idea, the places we saw were absolutely stunning and the guide, Zeke, was so knowledgable about them all and had extra information and answered every question the group had. I went by myself and the other people on the tour made me feel really comfortable, as did Zeke. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who was thinking about it, it was he highlight of my trip!!

Very relaxed tour where you have free time to explore yourself during the several stops. Brian our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining with his commentary. The minibus / van was clean and comfortable. We experienced stunning scenery and luckily exceptional weather. I was concerned the waterfalls wouldn't be flowing due to lack of rain but during the tour we learned the falls were fed from springs that release water year round so no worries there. I can heartily recommend this trip. It was a little bit expensive for us due to the poor exchange rate between USD to GBP but worth it

    Thanks Brian 👍

Chuck was a friendly and very informative guide, not only about the falls, Columbia River Valley and Mt. Hood but also about Portland. Well organized. Was a small group (10 folk total; the max was 12); easy to hear him in the van. We went on a Monday so did not have delays due to parking issues. Ate at his recommended brewery in the town of Mt. Hood (had the fish (salmon) fish fry); nice outside venue. Early clouds cleared so views of Mt. Hood were great. Due to the number of stops, don't expect to be able to do much hiking into the falls or at Mt. Hood. You do get to the main viewing areas. We disembarked for 3 falls; drove by a couple of others but did not stop.

The tour itself was as expected. We saw several waterfalls as well Mt. Hood. The tour guide was pleasant and courteous. We thought the expectation for tips was misleading. After we paid for the tour, we were notified that a tip of at least 20% for the tour guide was expected, and at the end of the tour, the tour guide stated he expected $25-$30 per person for his tip. It’s difficult to compare various tours based on cost when you don’t know if a tip is included. Just pay the guides what they are worth, charge accordingly, and forget the obligatory shake down at the end of the tour!

Hello! Thank you for the feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your tour guide and hope that you were able to learn a lot of new information while on board. We understand how complicated navigating cost can be while traveling, and we are working every month as a company to stay ahead of increasing living costs for our guides. With that being said, gratuity is also a standard in the tourism industry. In order to alleviate confusion for our guests, especially those traveling internationally, we do have information on this standard on our website and all our third-party listings like the one you used to book with us. On our listings for TripAdvisor and Viator, guests can find this information under the “What’s included” section prior to booking. Additionally, all our guests receive a message the day before tour with pick up details and a reminder that tipping is completely voluntary, suggesting 20% if guests enjoy their tours. We apologize that this messaging did not reach you prior to making the reservation! We strive to be as clear as possible on all our listings and when in communication with guests, and we will continue to work with our guides on their messaging while out on tour. If you find yourself back in the Portland area again in the future, we would love a second chance to take you on another adventure! Thank you, Wildwood Adventures
