Columbia River Gorge Tour from Portland
From US$65.00
Overview

Venture east of Portland and immerse yourself in nature on this small-group tour of the Columbia River Gorge, designed for people who want to get out of the city and see one of the country’s most scenic areas. Leave the driving and logistics to your guide while you learn about the region’s natural and geological history, and see one of the tallest waterfalls in the United States.

What to Expect

Choose from a morning of afternoon tour and start with a pick-up from your hotel or any location within a 5-mile radius of Pioneer Courthouse Square.

The journey begins with a scenic drive on Highway 84, stopping at the Bonneville Lock and Dam to view the fish ladder and local Icon: Herman the 10-foot sturgeon.

Continue along the Historic Columbia River Highway where you see many large and small waterfalls along the route.

Next, stop at Horsetail Falls, and Multnomah Falls, which is the highest continuously flowing waterfall in the country. You have time here for a short hike to the Simon Benson Bridge before continuing on to Shepherds Dell Falls, Bridal Falls, and then Latourell Falls where your guide leads you on another short hike.

Finally, visit Crown Point Vista House for sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge and great photo ops before returning to your departure point.
