Overview

Explore Portland’s bridges, rivers, and vibrant neighborhoods up close without getting in a car or walking, on a Segway. The tours are designed for visitors who want to pack a lot of sightseeing into 1.5-2 hours and get an overview of the city’s Westside and downtown areas. Enjoy fresh air and insightful commentary as you get to know the City of Roses, and spot places you might revisit.

What to Expect

Meet your group and guide at an agreed upon downtown location and have a short safety briefing and orientation on the how to use a Segway.

Start off traveling along the west bank of the Willamette River, while your guide gives context on what you are seeing. Take in river views and see the famous bridges that span the waterway and give Portland one of its nicknames: Bridge City

Next, ride through Chinatown for a taste of Portland’s history, and see Jeld-Wen Field, home to Portland’s beloved Timbers. See the Portland Art Museum and central business district, before returning to the starting point.

For a longer tour, choose the downtown tour, which continues on across the river to see the home of the Trail Blazers, and to explore NW Portland’s hip Pearl District, filled with boutiques, galleries, countless restaurants, and Powell’s Books.

Great time seeing the waterfront on Segway

First timer on a Segway, I brought my daughter and a couple of her friends on a tour for her birthday. Ryan taught us how to ride, which was quite easy to pick up, and was a really fun guide. Highly recommended!

The segway is easy to operate. Anyone can do it, but you do spend the tour standing. So if that is not comfortable for you, it may not be the best activity. Not sure about the refund.
