Highlights
An easy, active half-day trip to the scenic Columbia River Gorge
Ride a leisurely stretch of historic highway suitable for all riders
Tour includes bikes, helmets, snacks and transportation from Portland
Follow your guide on short hikes to waterfalls while watching for birds
What to expect
Meet your guide at a downtown Portland bike shop and board a van for your morning or afternoon half-day trip to the magnificent Columbia River Gorge. After a 45-minute drive to the Oregon-Washington border and the country's oldest National Scenic Highway, you’ll start your ride. The 10-mile (16-km) guided peddle will take you along gentle hills of evergreen forests on the Gorge’s National Scenic Highway, the country’s first. The guide will lead your small group, which will stop along the way for snacks and leisurely hikes to the Gorge’s celebrated waterfalls, where can wade in their refreshing water and snap photos of their spray. Look for birds of prey, including the national emblem of the United States, the bald eagle. Your 5-hour tour will return you to Portland at lunch or dinner time, depending on your trip.

Biking & Hiking Waterfall Tour
Jul 2021 • Couples
Great bicycling, hiking and sightseeing tour. Our guide Mason was relaxed and informative and let us decide how much biking we wanted to do. Best advice, take a camera and comfortable shoes and you are set!!

Beautiful scenery along the way. Expected more bike riding than what we did. We had a small group with one guide. We could’ve ridden more if guide would have led the group a bit better.

Columbia River Gorge Tour was THE BEST!
River Gorge tour was perfect due to the scenery & tour guide Scotland ! He was easy going & guided our group of 9 for the best scenic tour you could ask for. He would tell the history of the area, we stopped at a fruit stand for snacks, and he never hurried us. He led us to the most incredible falls and some hiking. Our group moved along pretty well & even rode to Multnomah fall for the grande finale. Plenty of time to ride, hike, visit & take pictures.
Hate to hear the business was looted the night before. We were a bit leery of downtown but parked, did the tour, left after that & the rental car was fine. We were gone about 5 hours and made some great memories.

Understanding company
Jul 2020
Just wanted to thank you for your understanding response to my dilemma. We were not allowed to travel because of a Covid issue. We were only hours before our arrival and outside of the 24 hour window. However, your company understood and refunded my money. When or if I get back to Portland, I will reschedule with this company.

Did best to substitute for plan
Jun 2020
We loved our guide Scotland, but did wish we had been able to do the Columbia River Gorge trip that we scheduled. There was some miscommunication and we showed up thinking the Gorge and Waterfalls were still our plan. Instead we did a lovely 17 mile ride through farmland and deep forests. Scotland was energetic and very knowledgeable but due to road closures and Covid, the planned trip was not an option. Trip advisor should not be selling this trip as described in my opinion. The bike shop seems to be taking a hit and even had bikes stolen during the protests! That is NO protest in my opinion and is a real hit to a small business, so I am glad we could support them.
