Really wonderful cruise yesterday, great commentary about many different aspects of life on Macquarie Harbour and the Gordon River history. Informative and enthusiastic guides for the Sarah Island and Heritage Rainforest Walk stops. The ship was very comfortable, good opportunities to walk about all decks including the captain's bridge. Food and beverages all good too. All staff easy to deal with - highly recommend this cruise. The weather is very variable so be sure to have warm or rain jacket, shoes and socks ideally, maybe gloves and a beanie, and warm trousers.

Absolutely fantastic day , the staff were So lovely and attentive, from the captain to the bar staff, great inclusions and informative walks, can’t recommend highly enough.

Staff and outing were professional and interesting.... except for the information given on the prolific fish farms in Macquarie Harbour. I was disappointed to hear the promotional speel on balance of eco systems and clean green business, especially given recent mass diseased and dying fish in salmon farms. Southern beaches are currently polluted with globules of fat from fish farms making swimming unsavoury; not a boom for tourism. The other comment I make relates to the saving of the Franklin River; now a massive jewel in Tasmania - no mention of Bob Brown and personal risks, loss of income and abuse he took while being a driving force of the campaign.

Cracking day, great views and great commentary. Food was lovely, facilities clean and tidy. Very comfortable and would highly recommend to any travellers

We had a fantastic day out. It was beautiful scenery and interesting commentary. The trip to Hell’s Gate and the Sarah Island tour were a great start to the day. It was amazing to then cruise up the Gordon River and learn the history of this area from multiple perspectives. Lunch was great. Thanks!

What a glorious testament to nature. WHC are justifiably proud of their little piece of precious wilderness. Crew all extremely knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge.

We had the most fabulous trip up the Gordon River and along the Macquarie Harbour. The day was beautiful. The information was outstanding and the guided talks out of the ball park. Very memorable day and so worth it. Oh and did I mention a wonderful lunch.

Spectacular cruise. Friendly staff, comfortable seating, lovely lunch. The tour itself was fascinating - the talk on Sarah Island penal colony really informative as was the forest walk. Well worth the money

This was a wonderful experience. We met Sarah (from The Ship that Never Was) again and had a tour of Sarah Island. The scenery was wonderful and the lunch was great. Highly recommend

Great trip, wonderful scenery, helpful informative staff. Lunch was good. We were on the main deck (not the more expensive upper deck) and spent a lot of time outside the front of the boat, blowy but beautiful.
