About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jessieka840 contributionsTruly perplexed at the negative reviewsOur family visited for the first time for our five year olds birthday and all ages up to 10 thoroughly enjoyed it! There was plenty to do- we were there for well over three hours. For those saying it was small, well, any amount of research would tell you that it’s at a mall and their website very clearly describes ALL of the activities and attractions. Every employee we interacted with was extremely pleasant and helpful. The Master Builders were so patient and interactive with our little ones! We can’t wait to go back!Written 23 October 2023
- tjmoney440 contributionsGreat Lego experience in ColumbusA really great experience for Lego fans, my 7 year old daughter loved it and we drove almost 3 hours from Pittsburgh to get there. Has lots of things to do, rides, etc and you can pay for extras too. We didn't and still had a great time, and will be back.Written 13 October 2023
- crowe5250 contributionsGood Family TimeWent with my wife and 3 kids who are between 6 and 10. All of the kids had a great time. The couple rides they had were fun and kept the kids entertained. The 4D movies are fun too and they show 4 of them rotating so you can see them all as admission is included with your ticket purchase. The food prices were surprisingly affordable and worth getting a cup of coffee or a snack for the kids. The staff was very friendly and I would go again.Written 29 June 2023
- 302jasminef0 contributionsadult lego fans unwantedLol, was actually laughing when I got this email about how my experience was. not adult lego fan friendly. did not know you had to be 17 or younger and they were not friendly about it all. we drove 2 hours away and first of all the time for the ticket was booked wrong because they said they didn’t even open for an hour. so we roamed and came back. we were upset to have to receive a refund that unfortunately didn’t go through to my card because it was on a card i no longer have. she continued to talk about how we could not get in then proceeds to say “Happy Valentine’s Day though” pretty snarky and we left. unbelievable service and was crushed on valentine’s day 2 hours from home with nothing to do.Written 16 February 2023
- teresaq4190 contributions100 percent satisfiedWe never received a time for our creative workshop and missed it so the Build Master gave us a private workshop and the kids loved it!!Written 23 January 2023
- iambrityvette0 contributionsToo expensiveReally best for children under 10. Very expensive for a limited experience. Two ver short ride, 15 minute movie and that’s about it apart from lots of legos to play with. For me to have to pay$30 was not worth it. Maybe good for rainy day little ones but way overpriced.Written 18 October 2022
- 880lynnseyh0 contributionsDay Date with my DudeWe loved Legoland in Florida for vacation so this was a no brainers opportunity when we visited family in Ohio. My little boy loved the master building class as well as building and racing his own cars. The workers were delightful and helpful. The facility was amazingly clean and easy to find and navigate. We would definitely come again if we are in the area!Written 20 June 2022
- J8898LVtaraw0 contributionsConfusing but FunFirst trip to this center for my family. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I registered for a time for a special building session but when I checked in I was given a different time. I also wasn't given the activity passes I had paid for but didn't realize it until further into the day when I had to go back to the front desk and question a few things. The coffee shop is ok but would try not to eat a meal there. Snacks are ok. I had read you need 2-3 hours to see the entire place however my kids needed much longer - between the jungle gym that they didn't want to leave, all the movies offered, the rides and special car building for racing. Definitely recommend and my kids want to go back but you just need to get clear idea of what you paid for and what is offered. Staff were friendly.Written 27 April 2022
- Roadtripnana0 contributionsLegoland OHI gave it a 3 mainly due to price. We drove for 2 1/2 hours to get there, and luckily it was first responders month so we got in for $10 each. I would have been really upset to pay $24 per person for the size of the place. That aside, if we lived close and went a lot, the annual pass may be worth it. Also, since we aren’t from the area we had to ask someone where to find it. FYI, it’s inside of the mall. The boys are both 10 and they did pretty well, but I wouldn’t recommend it for any older. Eat before you go, because the snack shop is expensive. The displays in mini land are awesome. There’s several things for them to do including a 4D theater that plays 4 different short films, a climbing play place, a ride where you shoot characters with a laser gun, a ride that goes in circles (they liked this one), and several interactive LEGO stations.Written 8 February 2020
- BoyMomtimes30 contributionsThe kids had a blast! We have 3 boys, ages 9,5, and 1. I really didn't expect our 1 year old to have much to do but he actually had a blast in the duplo area. Tickets are kind of expensive for how small the place actually is inside but we got a deal - buy 1 adult, get 1 kid free - which made it worth the $.Written 8 January 2020
- otho14870 contributionsGreat ActivityVisited with our 26 month old granddaughter and she had a blast. All other visitors were kind, understanding and willingly shared the different venues. I would recommend a visit to those with young children and don’t forget the adult interaction.Written 8 January 2020
- ShaggyCW0 contributionsA good easy 2-3 hour filler. This place was great for any kid 10 and under. We got there early and it is super nice because they stagger the entry so it does not take away from the initial experience. Our kids had a blast. Rides were easy to get on without waiting. The 4d movies were so fun! I even as an adult was excited to see all the displays. However I can see how people say once and done. It is not a large place. I’m mean it is inside a mall. But it was a great one time experience.Written 5 January 2020
- Deborah S0 contributionsOkay, but not worth $25I got $15 discount tickets from my job, and our kids had fun but it’s definitely not worth the $25 regular price ticket.Written 10 December 2019
- Frank F0 contributionsEat Before You Go!The place is great! We spent 6 hours there. My two boys (11 & 5) had a blast. The price of admission is right where it should be and the lego sets in the store are just a few cents higher than what you would see in WalMart. The lego embossing is pretty cool for the kids, except the one in duplo land was broke. Very clean facilities. Now about the food.. it was horrible. Over priced, under and over cooked at the same time!!! It all tasted disgusting. How can you screw up a soft pretzel?? Let me tell you how.... they use a turbo oven, like you see in subway... they cant keep up with the long line of customers. We ordered chicken tenders, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and a soft pretzel. The chicken tenders were less than luke warm on the inside but the breading was burnt. The pizzas were cold in the center but the cheese was burnt! And they were those little round single serve pizzas you get at the grocery store for $1 each. The pretzel was so over done it was as hard as a rock! My order above plus 3 bottled drinks came to just under $40!!!! We will go back to visit in the future but we will make sure to have eaten before hand.Written 10 November 2019
- Lori24240 contributionsJust ok! Not worth the money! Our children are ages 14,13,11, & 9! The 9 and 11 year olds are really into legos so we thought how fun! Boy were we wrong! Admission is $24 per person. Definitely not worth it! There are 2 rides the first being a shooting game which was somewhat fun but very short! The second was a childish ride they spun around as you pedaled and lifted you into the air. And they also have a 4d movie in which you get soaked from the water spray! Definitely to much water!!!! They do have a cafe. We stopped in to check it out they serve firehouse subs which were all gone! They said they placed another order but didn’t know how long it would take. There are a few areas you can make your own Lego creations to play with while you there. And of course there was a mini town which was cute and probably the best part. All in all way to much money for not much to do!Written 13 October 2019

Brought a Lego enthusiast visiting us for a visit. Drove 75 minutes from Dayton, purchased 3 adult tickets online. Stood in line at the entrance because only one employee was working at 1pm. Got into the entryway and they suddenly said, “If you don’t have kids with you, you can’t come in.” WTH?! I thought this was America. I’m not trying to sneak into a school gymnasium: I’m a paying patron of a public site. “It’s on our website.” In what fine print?! Your app also let me buy 3 adult tickets without buying any kid tickets. 1st employee says, “Sorry, you can keep the extra gift” (that was included in the package I paid for). Manager who finished processing the return (another 4 minutes) takes the bag off the counter while I sign the refund. “The other person told me I could keep that!” “Sorry, no, you can’t.”
Let me tell you something: this is ridiculous. There will NEVER be another DIME spent by my family on ANYTHING related to this franchise. If kids aren’t “safe” because well-behaved paying adults (ages 40-50) spent $97 to visit a toy land from their childhoods while being surveilled on closed circuit TV, then there’s something seriously wrong with that. The only good thing? The people we had been waiting in line behind had children screaming and running behind the employee counter touching Lego stuff. I guess I’m glad we weren’t in there the same time as them. Un. Freaking. Believable.

Ordered tickets in advance, with the activity packs. Got there to find out they sold out of the activity packs before we got there, “refunded” our money (been almost 2 weeks haven’t received it) was crowded so the kids didn’t get to do much of the activities. Went to the store afterwards kids were cranky after being in line for over an hour. Was double charged for an item and didn’t realize it until I got home (well over an hour away) called, phones disconnected, got ahold through email.. can’t refund me because employee didn’t do his job with giving me my card slip, just receipt for items. Asked how they’d make it right.. talked about sending the item they charged me twice for (been a week to no reply) if your in for a waste of $30 a ticket for a mediocre experience and customer service who don’t care, have at it.

The kids loved it. They had an absolute blast. This would be 5 stars if I was writing this as an 8 year old.
Legoland discovery center is absolutely a destination for children, so much so that adults cannot even enter if they do not have a child with them. There is a tacit understanding that there is no legitimate reason for an adult to ever want to go to the lego land discovery center. Their presence is purely as a chaperone for the children they bring with them.
However, despite this, adult tickets cost the same as children.
That's right, for the privilege of watching your kids, you must pay a minimum of $26 plus tax, per person.

My children (9,6,3) enjoyed their time at Legoland Discovery. There were age appropriate things for each child and the staff was friendly. I felt the center could have been a little more put together (cleaner looking)-I understand it is a lego center, but there were legos on the floor and stations were not cleaned after people got up from them. My biggest complaint would be is that we purchased our tickets online and reserved a time for 11:00 am. When we arrived at the center around 10:50am there was a line & even though we purchased our tickets online we had to wait in line for around 50 min. They were allowing annual pass members to pass in line, but not the people who had purchased tickets online. It was a good one time experience, but we would probably not return.

We stayed in Columbus for a night near the Easton Town center and did not even know this was here. We are sure glad we found it as our younger kids had a blast there. I recommend going early when it opens before the crowds come as I could see it not being that fun if waiting for the activities going through.

Legoland Discovery in Columbus is very fun for kids who love legos but definitely overpriced if you purchase the extras. I suggest only buying the least expensive ticket with no extras & looking for discounts online All the really fun things like rides (except one) & the movie are included in the basic price well worth its price. We included the extras & paid $175 for one adult, 15, 8 & 6 year old. Any extra’s are a waste of money!!! The picture was charged for each child but only one picture was taken. The Great Lego VR Race virtual ride cost extra is short & kids & I agree not that good In the basic price the 3D movie is included as is all other rides & they are fantastic. ) The extra price for the activity is a waste if money, just a cheap button toy is the gift. Again, i suggest you buy the basic ticket. It includes everything except one overpriced ride & one overpriced stamp game that gives you a cheap toy & one picture.

Our 6 year kept telling us she wanted to go to Legoland. We finally gave in and took the family there. It is good to pre-buy your tickets before going in, even though there was no wait. There is a lot too see and do. I really enjoyed the ride where you go and shoot at different targets. There were a number of Lego displays and there were a few building stations where you can build and test your own creations. I just wish there were more Legos for the kids to use. When we went, there were a lot of pieces, but it was hard to build something with it. There were not enough wheels or they were all different sizes. My daughter had fun and said she wants to go back.

The workers didn’t seem to want to be there. The cafe didn’t open up until 12:30 when they had a sign for it to open at 11. When asking a worker about when it would be open the girl got an attitude. Where the kids could climb up in a play are it stunk so we didn’t stay long.
Even though it’s nothing the staff could’ve really done or helped with people weren’t watching their children while there. Kids kept running and pushing into my autistic 3 year old. All while the parents were no where to be found. Was not a pleasant experience and will never think about taking my children back.

I brought my wife and 3 kids to legoland discovery center for the first time this past weekend. we bought the annual premium pass because of the benefits it had listed. Once we got to legoland we found out that the premium pass perks do not in fact line up with what was on the website. we were told that marketing hasn't changed it yet and that we were basically out of luck. That aside we were still excited to explore legoland. As first time visitors we were off put by the lack of direction. Had no clue were to go or what to do for the first 30 minutes or so. Just one employee at the begining taking 10 minutes to explain where to go and whats going on would solve this problem instead of taking your money and basically saying "go figure it out". That aside my kids did enjoy the stations and we had a good time. The zombie ride was my 3 year old's favorite. my 2 year old loved the big blocks and slide area. my wife, 10 year old, and myself loved MiniLand. We bout some legos on the way out and once again i was told that the premium pass only gave me a 5% discount at the store. I had to connect to the internet go online and show them that it says 10% before I finally got the discount. Also the premium pass states it gives friends and family 40% off their tickets on one page. then says 20% on a different page. Really disappointed with employees engagement and lack of direction overall. And just flat out disgusted over the discrepancy in benefits that were advertised online.

I think the six adults had as much fun as the two children in the party! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and enjoyed the ability to build (or attempt to build) race cars, buildings, etc. The two rides (geared more towards children) were also enjoyable for adults as well.
