      Very Nice Day
We really enjoyed this tour! The captain and guide were great. Everyone enjoyed their picnic lunch at their leisure. I need a gluten-free lunch, so the salad and chips were fine. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and chips. The Boldt Castle (bring your headphones for a self guided tour) was beautiful, and the lighthouse had a lot of interesting history. I would definitely recommend it. Tip: we did not realize that for a small fee, we could have maybe toured the boat house. Maybe that could be considered.

A beautiful trip with a good lunch
An amazing tour of the 1000 Islands and Boldt Castle. Fantastic guides who were good storytellers. And... The sack lunch was hearty and excellent. Well worth the money and time.

      Cruise the 1000 islands
This is a 3.5 hour narrated cruise of the 1000 islands which includes 1.5 visit to Boldt Island where you can see the castle and explore the grounds. This is the thing to do in the 1000 islands.

      Best 1000 Islands Tour!
Absolutely the best tour! Our Captain and tour guide were terrific! Knowledgeable, engaging, humorous and always had our safety as a priority! The boat had a bathroom on board and seating area was comfortable. We would have liked a little more time at Bolt Castle but overall we were very pleased with everything the tour offered! Highly recommend!

Best Boat Tour on the St Lawrence!
Best boat tour on the St Lawrence! Dennis, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable of the Thousand Islands and Captain Jack was fantastic! We learned so much about the Thousand Islands, thoroughly enjoyed the ride and absolutely loved touring Bolt Castle and Rock Island Lighthouse! The 5 hours went by in a flash but it allowed for plenty of time at both locations. The lunch provided was very good and eating on the boat gave us more time on the islands! We highly recommend this tour company as they are the only public tour boat permitted on Rock Island!

      Fun and informative tour
Brad was a great tour guide and Chuck was a great ship captain. Brad gave us so much history and stories it made the tour fly by. First stop Boldt Castle where we had a delicious picnic lunch provided by the tour. Then we toured the castle, out buildings, and the grounds before getting back on the boat and going to the Rock Island lighthouse. After some information about the history of the lighthouse and it's keepers we were able to climb to the top. It was a wonderful tour. I highly recommend it.

Mostly a place to unwind and relax.
If you do not take a boat tour there is not much to see or do in and around Clayton 1000 Islands. Panaramic views of the river and islands are pretty much non existent as homes and trees block the view all along the highways. The downtown area consists of very few blocks congested with traffic with very little parking availability. Restaurants and food fare is very limited, with hamburgers the main options. Most of the disterillies were closed while we were there. Highlight of the visit was to drive about 7 miles north to The Gals ice cream stand.

      Great bucket-list experience!
We booked this boat tour to celebrate my husband's birthday. They were accommodating, especially when we had to reschedule due to an unforseen circumstance on their part. Our guide, Brad, was amazing with the narration, history and fun facts with a side of humor. Our captain, Mike, did amazing work with driving our boat. The trip to Boldt Castle was incredible. Between my husband and me, we must have taken hundreds of photos throughout this tour. I'm so glad that we used this company. It was our first time to the Thousand Islands and it won't be the last time! Thank you so much!

Very disappointed with the boat staff.
The lighthouses and castles were great. The glass bottom boat was terrible you couldn't even see the water. The bottom of the boat was green like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I felt that I had been taken in from their advertising. (Other glass bottom boats are real, and you can see the water). The first mate on the boat was very rude. As we were heading back to the dock, he insinuated that we tip him. He was so demanding that I was irritated and will NEVER go with them again.

A dry evening soon turned into a torrential downpour with thunder and lightening . The storm protective flaps had to be rolled down in order for us to remain dry. The battle between the volume of the music and the volume of the storm noise raged for quite awhile with intense moments as the storm seemed right overhead. My husband and I wondered if the boat captain should return us safely to land instead of proceeding with the sunset cruise.
After perhaps an hour or more of intense rain, we were rewarded though with a spectacular sunset with brilliant colors...which was the reason for the trip.
We were disappointed that there was no narration except for pointing out the gargoyles on a house roof. We were thankful for the captain's confidence that we would return safely !

We went on this cruise last year and it was great. The captain told stories about the islands, was very engaging, and planned the route perfectly for spectacular sunsets views. So we decided to go again this year - different captain, never said a word, sunset was behind us, still gorgeous views but disappointing.

Took the sunset cruise. Our Captain was very knowledgeable about the area; although this was not a guided tour, we still learned a lot about the islands. Ruth, our bartender, was very friendly and helpful as well. About 30 minutes prior to the end of our trip a storm hit, which made things pretty exciting to say the least! The staff remained calm and we made it to shore safely, although a bit later than expected. We got a little wet but came out of this experience with a good story to tell!

The summary I read of what the trip was about was not accurate. The summary states a "relaxing cruise" when in fact it was anything but. The captain and bartender allowed a passenger to run their music VERY loud the whole 2 hours! Also we had to sit at cramped tables facing strangers who kept stepping on my feet under the table, not comfortable at all. Why not have bench seats like other boats?? More of a party cruise than relaxing. I was very disappointed 😞.

Thank you Carol for your review and we are sad to hear you did not enjoy the experience. We wish you had notified the Captain and First Mate about your issue with loud music and that you were uncomfortable where you were seated. They would have been happy to assist you with your concerns.

Wanted to go to thousand islands area for long time. Worth the visit, the Clayton cruise guide had shared loads of information about the islands which was interesting. Reduced one star for the goof up done by the person at check in office where she gave a different families ticket to us.

It was a beautiful night & nice cruise. We do not recommend the 1st row of seats - view not as good due to plastic window blocking corner & speaker directly above head. This is a beautiful scenic sunset cruise. They do not point items out unless you ask them. They were very nice and answered any questions that we asked. It was beautiful & relaxing. We could bring our own drinks & snacks & the table & seats were comfortable.

We took a nice 3.5 hour tour of the St. Lawrence and Bolt Castle. Everything was fine, except that we were only able to hear about 30 percent of what the tour guide was saying. Between the noisy boat and the poor speakers, it was hard to hear, even for those with good hearing.

This is a relaxed cruise on St Laurence. No stop. Light music. There is a bar. Bathroom on board. The 2 hour cruise can be a little boring but it’s a been there done that experience, at sunset time in the thousand lakes. Bring a jacket. In early July still a little chilly toward the end of the cruise.

The sunset cruise was wonderful. It lasted 2 hours during which time beverages were available for purchase, oldies music played in the back ground and the boat took people through the St Lawrence. The tour cruised past island homes and shared the waters with gorgeous wooden boats and lovely sailboats. And then there was the actual sunset. It was an amazing and relaxing trip.

Captain Brian and Bartender Brad were wonderful hosts. The cruise was relaxing and entertaining. Everyone onboard had a pleasant time. There were a few locals, some couples and a family from Sweden. It was a perfect ending to our 43rd anniversary week celebration.
