About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ChiQuynh0 contributionsChill and informativeWe were in NM for a short time and booked a quick 2-hour walking tour of Old Town in Albuquerque before we flew out. Tam was our guide, and she was an ideal guide who was a local, has a high level of knowledge the history of the area and people, is passionate about the culture, and has a chill demeanor. Great use of time to get a concise appreciation for the area.Written 1 December 2024
- johnnyu0410 contributionsHiking at Bandelier National MonumentThis last August we got to experience a wonderful hiking tour of Bandelier National Monument with Tyler as our guide. We had an amazing time! He was incredibly patient, especially with our children ages 9,7 and 5 understanding that they moved at a slower pace and needed time to get up and down the ladders on site. We felt very safe. Tyler shared fascinating insights about the area's history and set up a wonderful lunch for us during the hike. His knowledge and thoughtful approach made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!Written 23 November 2024
- Venture570789034070 contributionsChaco Culture National Park A+I had the pleasure of exploring Chaco Culture National Park under the expert guidance of Tam Chavez in November, 2024. Tam had an unparalleled knowledge of the Chaco Complex and the ancestral Puebloan architecture, art, and geoastronomical acumen. I booked the tour as a single person with 5 other adventurers, and I felt very safe throughout the day as we were driven to and from Hotel Chaco in ABQ. I even got a branded reusable water container as a souvenir. Highly recommended! A+Written 18 November 2024
- Scenic6873550 contributionsA visit beyond expectationsMy kids did not want me hiking solo so I went searching for a hiking guide and got, well, extremely lucky! The hiking with Angeliza was unlike any other guided tour I have booked anywhere. Her knowledge of flora, fauna, geology and the cultural history of Taos made for a deep experience that went well beyond the physical hiking. We talked about so many things, women in business, the state of the world, the ancient indigenous people whose footsteps we were walking…it lifted me right out od the day to day world and into a workday of other possibilities. Highly highly recommend!!Written 18 November 2024
- mgdolfin0 contributionsChaco and Acoma with a cherry on top!We did the Acoma Pueblo and Chaco Canyon tours. What a wonderful experience to travel with our experienced guide Tam and our welcoming Acoma Pueblo host a turtle. We learned so much about current and ancient Puebloan cultures. This made the experiences very meaningful. Everyone was on time, food was delicious and the van was well equipped. Hope to return again.Written 17 November 2024
- Culverman0 contributionsTaos full day private tourAngelisa was great to work with by phone, email & texts to arrange a private tour to Taos. Fritz, our driver & guide took us along the high road & offered plenty of geological & cultural information. Taos Pueblo was unfortunately closed for tribal ceremonial activities, but Fritz had other options & we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Written 4 November 2024
- peggyorloff0 contributionsAngelia and Heritage Inspirations made our trip a gift we will never forget!Wow. We used Heritage Inspirations/Angelisa for my sisters 70th birthday celebration in Santa Fe. From the minute we met Angelisa we were greeted with such love and she was so excited to share this adventure with us. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her culture and the history and culture of New Mexico. We went horseback riding at Ghost Ranch and then a day tour all about Georgia Okeefe and her life. We spent the day together and Angelisa was so full of interesting information that made the trip even more special. There were 10 of us and she took such good care of all of us with snacks and water and her van was so comfortable to be in for the day. I highly recommend Heritage Inspirations and we all send our thanks for an amazing day.Written 29 October 2024

The meals from breakfast to our incredible lamb chop dinner was fabulous. The glamping tents were incredibly comfortable. As an added treat the cultural astronomer on the trip, Danielle, taught me some many things I didnt know about the sky and stars. The guided hikes and tour of Chaco were great. Angelia’s and her entire team are incredible.Written 22 October 2024

What a wonderful tour! We saw a range of galleries that specialized in all sorts of traditional and contemporary art forms and chatted with artists who were excited to share their expertise and experience. Lewis is a terrific guide: he knows a great deal about the history and traditions of Taos, is an engaging speaker, and is very open to questions and comments. And the chocolate was a perfect conclusion! Very highly recommended.

Josh did a wonderful job leading our tour. Very engaging, knowledgeable, and energetic. We loved getting to talk at depth with the gallery owners and artists. Learned so much about Taos' history and the history of American art. The final stop for artisan chocolate was a perfect ending. Would definitely recommend!

This tour made us fall in love with Taos! We did the artisan walking tour. Our tour guide, Leslie, had lived in Taos for 25 years and had a wealth of art knowledge. She knew the artists in town and was able to introduce us to a lot of great people and places. Our favorite part of the tour was visiting one of the artists in his studio and hearing his passion for art and Taos. We learned so much about art, history, and the city from her. She also gave us great food/drink/shopping recommendations for the rest of our visit. Leslie made our visit to Taos so special and walking around the city with her was like learning from a fun friend! We can’t wait to do it again!

Fabulous art-focused tour with our incredible guide Leslie! Leslie gauged our interests and toured us accordingly. We were exposed to all kinds of art from painting to jewelry to weaving and beyond. Along the way she sprinkled in history, architecture, offered suggestions for additional points of interest and dining recommendations. She gave generously of her time yet kept us on track for all the places she wanted us to visit. A lovely human being with whom to have spent an afternoon. And all of it topped off with a chocolate tasting! A memorable adventure!

This walking tour was led by Lesley who was a wealth of information from Taos history to the current art scene in town. Each gallery we went to, the curator was kind enough to give us special attention. We really enjoyed her her warm and fun presence. She went above and beyond in giving us tips on what to do for the rest of our trip as well. The chocolate is a must!

Lesley was great! She was very personable and made the tour very enjoyable. My wife and I had visited a large portion of the Taos' galleries and exhibits a few days prior, and Lesley took us to some more that we missed and had a ton of history info on them. Overall, we loved it.

I am a first-time visitor to the Taos area so this tour was really a nice way to see some great art & artisans. I have always loved art & have dabbled with drawing and painting, but I also love seeing & learning about the creative process & different artists. Our guide, Tyler, was knowledgeable & very personable. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone coming to Taos.

Katrina was an excellent tour guide! We toured a number of galleries. Our favorite was Untitled Fine Art gallery, where one of the featured artists, KC Tebbut, enthralled us with an in-depth description of the nuances and techniques of the several artists on display, including his own. Katrina shared her knowledge and personal perspectives on the historical and contemporary artists of Taos. And we ended with a stop at Chokola for some delicious sipping chocolate. A wonderful way to start our stay in Taos!

My wife and I were the two tourees with Lesley. We thoroughly enjoyed her company as well as the rich and fascinating tour content she and her artisan and curator buddies presented. This being the Time of COVID, we were all masked throughout (we'd brought our own). As a docent myself (for the Chicago Architecture Center), I was impressed by Lesley's attention to detail, accuracy, timing, our questions, and above all the satisfaction and comfort of her tourees. My wife and I were both pleased to discover that even though we'd already been exploring Taos for an afternoon and morning before this tour, absolutely every place Lesley took us and every story she told was new to us. That's why we take and enjoy tours!
