- ellinks20160 contributionsA complete rip offWhat a rip-off!! Avoid this, really, if you are reading this and considering going here, don't!! Over 35.00 per person including the kids for almost nothing! One crummy ride, a play area like you get for free at McDonalds, a short 3D movie, and a bunch of stations to play with Legos. And any food or drink sold there is over the top expensive...don't go!! REALLY!!!Written 16 April 2024
- sgK9362QJ0 contributionsFun experience! We were originally supposed to do the DreamWorks water park but due to an accident there we have to rearrange plans completely. Though. Initially this was stressful being able to do the Lego land discovery center was completely worth it. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast. My kids are major Lego lovers and when we were in there it took hours to get them to want to leave. I have always said there should be a coffee bar within a lot of these kids spaces. We go to. This place had Starbucks coffee as well as kid friendly foods and snacks which was wonderful so that we didn't have to leave and fight the food court. The ride was a little rundown as the wands weren't really working but it was cute. It kind of reminded me of some of the rides at Disney. The different stations and areas where wonderful. Some of the buttons were broken and not working but I definitely can see why as a lot of the kids were pretty rough on them. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. The little building class that they had was a lot of fun. I would definitely go again. You want to definitely get the passes in advance? I mean we did it the night before which was not that hard and we were able to get first thing in the morning space. But the line to get times fills up fairly quickly. In the morning. They were people that were saying that there was a 2-hour wait to get in. So I would definitely say get advance tickets if you know you're going the next day. They had all of the times available literally the night before.Written 22 February 2023

For starters if you have been to Legoland before and do not know what Legoland Discovery Centers are, do not go here with the Legoland "theme park" mindset as we did. Despite reading and seeing the pictures of the venue, we couldn't help coming here with the Legoland theme park expectations from our great experience at Legoland Deustchland.
The venue is quite small, and our children were approximately 4 and 1 at the time of our visit. With that being said, a lot of the exhibits did not necessarily garner their interest due to number "hands-on" activities available.
Ultimately, our family are fans of Legos which helped with our enjoyable experience here at the Legoland Discovery Center, after some of the initial disappointment wore off. We found the interactive ride very enjoyable and recommend it to anyone coming here - it is probably the best part of this venue. There is also a small theater and playground available.
Definitely good for a rainy day, but arguably good for any Lego fans.

We came to Legoland at American Dreams using our Legoland Season pass. I am not sure I would want to pay $30 pp to visit this place, but if you already have the Legoland pass, it's worth the trip.
The biggest surprise was how small it was. After we visited all the exhibits my wife and I were surprised that we were back at the main entrance. Thankfully, when we told our kids that we saw the entire place they ran back to the car racing area and spent the next 30 minutes there. Our kids really enjoyed that one attraction so they didn't care that the place was so small.
The interactive ride was fun and they wanted to do that a few times so that was a good attraction too.
I'm not sure if we will return when our Legoland season passes expire, because I cannot see us spending that kind of money for such a small experience.

My grandchildren had a very enjoyable day. The facility was much smaller than I anticipated. The indoor climbing maze attraction kept the young ones busy for several hours. The movie theater ran a three separate short films throughout the day which everyone enjoyed. There were numerous building stations for children of all ages. The largest section was located in the middle of the complex with Lego creations of several Manhatten landmark buildings/ Central Park and New Jersey landmarks from the entire state.

I love everything Lego - until now. Admission was expensive and my kids were entertained for only about a half hour, 15 minutes of which was a climbing area that had nothing to do with Lego. Main display was neat and the one ride was decent (albeit approximately 4 minutes). Movie was dated. Sure, there were some building areas but we can do that at home for free.
The store area was roughly half the size of the entire exhibit area.
Lego is never a bargain but the quality usually makes up for it. This experience fell very short and I am almost surprised that Lego would put their name to something so subpar.

Not up to par for Lego. This place is tiny! The video on their website is false advertisement. We were expecting another ride or two, a character appearance or anything to justify the money spent. The play areas are crowded and messy. The lego city was really cool as was the 4D movie. You can see three movies if you time it right. The Lego building workshop was fun until we realized you can’t keep your build like you can at Legoland Florida. So you’ve paid over $100+ dollars and they won’t let your kids take home a $5 Lego? The place is also for very young kids. I’d say 8 or 9 years old is the cutoff. The ride was also really short and the wands don’t work. They need more here especially for the price.

Wow this place is bad. I was wary going into it but it’s worse than I even expected despite my low expectations. First, it’s really expensive and for a family of four, we spent over $200 for the combined sealife and Lego experience.
But the facility is understaffed and poorly maintained. While we were there, the 4d movie was broken as the 3d portion wasn’t working so you’re watching a movie that is basically green and red and finally they didn’t even bother giving you the glasses, you just watched a blurry movie.
The play place was closed for an hour because the person was on “break”.
The place is filthy. There are legos and food everywhere.
The Lego workshop was barely run - someone had to close it because the guy had a birthday party to run on the aquarium side.
It’s like a Lego daycare with no staff and everything is broken.
Such a waste of time and money!

The small venue, few activities, broken items, timed Creativity center (we were asked to leave after 10 minutes and I had to argue with the attendant that we are allowed 20 minutes according to their own sign, also we were the only family in the room at the time) all led to a very disappointing excursion. Our granddaughter was ready to leave after 20 minutes and since we paid over $100 for the three of us, we trudged on. For example, the area where we could build vehicles and race them could have been great except that so many pieces were broken, we could not put together three vehicles. Some families simply attached two wheels together and sent them down the ramp.
Broken:
1) All of the boats in the city (the faux water was filthy)
2) Roller coaster model
3) Football model
4) Basically nothing interactive in the city worked
Who is managing this place?
And don't tell me you can't find workers. Pay them and train them and treat them well, it's pretty simple.

Legoland should provide more stations where children can use their creativity. There were stations that were poorly set up, with pieces missing. Lego land can provide small mini lego figures for kids to take home. The creative workshop would be a highlight if the kids can keep what they build. This place is overpriced for what they provide. My kids were bored very quickly.

Overpriced for what it was. Brick stations poorly organized and stocked. Parts of ride broken. Fair price would have been $20 a person. $35 a person was a waste for what was a pretty disappointing experience for my 5 year old son.
