Amazing views but don't get left behind!
We booked the Grand Canyon West Rim by Coach with Meals and Helicopter Tour, (with additional SkyWalk). The bus arrived a little late as we were the last hotel to be picked up from. The only issue was that there were only 2 seats right at the back of the bus, (next to the toilet), which was noisy and uncomfortable. Not a major issue though. The only real complaint was that as my daughter and I were the last off the bus at the rest break, (service station in the middle of nowhere), we were the back of the queue and therefore the last to get breakfast, (so the last to go to the bus). To my disbelief as we were walking out of the Service Station, Subway and coffee in hand THE BUS WAS PULLING AWAY WITHOUT US!!!! Running, shouting and screaming, (burnt my hand with the coffee splashing everywhere), and the driver must have heard other passengers telling him we were left behind and turned back into the parking lot...I must say I was angry and quite scared at the prospect of being left in the middle of nowhere (effectively ruining the day)....thankfully the rest of the day went well and the helicopter ride was breathtaking. Eagle point was ok, (the food was good)...we did queue for the SkyWalk (around 35 mins) and I would encourage anyone going not to bother, especially if you've paid for the helicopter ride). As a result we didn't get time to go to Guano Point which was a shame. All in all a good day and although expensive the helicopter ride worth every penny...JUST BE CAREFUL THAT YOU DON'T GET LEFT BEHIND!!!!

Check one off your Bucket List with this tour
Great tour of Grand Canyon and Hoover Damn. This tour checked one off the bucket list and didn’t disappoint. Derek was a great tour guide with great personality. Bus was a bit late but we were last pick up. Book direct and not on the strip—it cost us more booking on the strip :(

          Awesome tour
Excellent tour. Michael was the best driver we could have hoped for. He was very funny and informative. The bus was very comfortable with large clean windows for great visibility. Took many awesome photos.

Awesome experience with Tony as our guide!
We were so pleasantly surprised with our tour. We booked thinking we were just getting a shuttle ride to the Hoover Dam. Nope. We got a wonderful tour guide named Tony. Our 16 year old loved him too. He was a hoot. So entertaining. We stopped and took pics at several places we would've never known about. Thank you Tony for our day yesterday. We appreciated your narrative.

Jam packed sight seeing - great value tour!
I was skeptical booking a 12 hour tour (!!) from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Seemed so long, but there were enough interesting stops and breaks along the way that it seemed to fly by, and we were back before dinner. We stayed at Sahara and had to queue across the street at Circus Circus by 5:40am (about a 7-8 minute walk). Bus arrived around 6:15, right on schedule. The charging port in our hotel room was broken, so I woke up with 11% battery (yikes!) but the bus has charging ports between the seats (hooray!), plenty of legroom and it was quite comfortable. Pro Tip: all the Grand Canyon tour buses queue at the same hotels, so make sure you look for “Gray Line” in the window. Many people tried to get on the wrong bus and slowed boarding. Our driver/tour guide Derek was awesome. Highly experienced, he knew a ton about the history and sights, kept us on schedule but not rushed. He was funny, lighthearted and just delightful. First stop was Lake Meade for a few minutes to snap some photos. Then the Hoover Dam, and on to the Tillman bridge for a walk out and photo ops. Quite a sight! We hit one more quick rest stop on the way, passed through Joshua Tree National Forest and a wind farm, arriving at the Grand Canyon in less than an hour from our last stop. We added on the Skywalk. Frankly the views are great everywhere at the Grand Canyon, and folks mentioned they could skip it if pressed for time or money (there was about a 15 minute line to get on the Skybridge). But I figured it was kinda once in a lifetime and I sure don’t regret it. It was intense! I was worried about being rushed through, but that’s not the case at all. You cannot take your cameras or phones (there are free lockers), but they have a professional photographer and digital photos start at $10 if you want the souvenir. I accidentally skipped adding the meals as part of our package, but food is available for purchase at the two Grand Canyon cafes (or rest stops along the way) if you do not add it on with your package. We were staving by the time we got to the Grand Canyon, heading out so early only Starbucks was open for breakfast. If I thought ahead I would’ve grabbed breakfast bars and snacks the night before, but again there were rest stops there and back where you could grab something to hold you over. It was a great tour, the price couldn’t be beat, and I highly recommend if you’re on the fence. You won’t find a better tour for the price!

PRINCE and PATRICK said DONT BE THAT GUY!!!
Although this trip was not booked on The Comedy on Deck bus tour...We could not tell..our bus ride to the Canyon is going to be just as memorable as visiting the Canyon ..Our facilities PATRICK AND PRINCE kept us laughing they were engaging, personable, accommodating and funny 😁 as prince warned us from the beginning and throughout "Don't be that Guy" take a tour with these 2 and find out what that means exactly...the bus was clean it had outlets to charge your phone ..initially I was told bag lunch was included as a bag lunnch but surprising ended up being Pizza hut included 3 items of your choice and I had an included max movie pass...I was treating 2 under 21 college Spring Breakers and I believe they had more fun on bus than the actual Canyon...so request bus wit Prine and Patrick and don't end up be That Guy...!!!

Went on the grey line west rim tour with the added on helicopters and boat ride. Loved the Grand Canyon and can’t recommend the helicopter ride enough. My 75 year old mother was able to do the boat ride no problem. HOWEVER we hated grey line. Go to another smaller company with a more comfortable bus. I’m six feet tall and the bus was SHEER TORTURE. They pick you up at 6:00 am and we had to walk 20 min to get to the pick up spot from our hotel. They bus you to the grey line station and line you up in an empty hall while 3-4 other bus loads of people arrive. Then they try to up sell the tours to you. The move you into another room where you line up again to pay or confirm your booking. You line up again by the door waiting for your actual bus to arrive. Then you move outside and line up again against the wall while the bus comes. 1.5 hour process that is a total waste of time. I would do the pink Jeep tour... I did one the day before to the valley of fire and the ride was better .... way more leg room and more personal!!!!!!

Booked the VIP tour of Grand Canyon two months in advance. Confirmed more than 24 hours ahead of the tour as required. We were ready at 6.15 am on the morning of the tour. Their bus arrived 30 minutes late. We were taken to their depot arriving around 7:15 am. We were then herded like cattle into a large hall and told to stand against the wall. Our names were called out and we were told that the vehicle had “frozen up” and that our tour wasn’t going ahead.

        1. I don’t believe an organisation like grayline doesn’t have a spare bus. Far more likely that they that they decided that it was more profitable to cancel our small VIP tour

        2. We had been up at 5.30am. They decided to tell us 7.15am after we had been transported to their depot that their tour was cancelled.

They were no help in trying to reorganise. Just not interested.

Luckily we were able to do the Grand Canyon in style with Maverick helicopters. A class operation from start to finish.

Dear ccit33_12, On behalf of everyone at Gray Line I want to apologize for dropping the ball on your Grand Canyon tour. We do understand that tour cancellation have a very negative impact on people's vacation plans which is why less than1 percent of our tours are ever cancelled. Regarding your impression that we would have "extra" vehicles standing by, just like airlines try to maximize their planes by keeping them flying, sightseeing companies maximize their vehicles by scheduling them on tours. We are very sorry that this affected you and we want to wish you well in your future endeavors. Sincerely, GL Vegas Customer Service.

Driver Freddie was good and entertaining helicopter ride was waste of money five minutes each way not allowed to take pictures near by, boat ride about 10 minutes all together Captain not interesting not worth the money we paid, skywalk employees were so slow including photographers Poor quality photos not worth the money they charge. 80% of the time we waste was transportation and staying in the line and waiting. Bus was not comfortable not luxury at all. They put 2 different groups of people with the different packages together we got a all included package tour but driver made us come back at 2:00 pm for pick up because there was another group with us with a smaller package.don’t want to wait for us for too long that just not wright no time for us to eat or see all places not recommending

Dear Wander64665153637, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that your visit to West Rim of the Grand Canyon missed your expectations. Most people find that the Hualapai Nation, the native American trip that owns and operates the West Rim, provides a very friendly and enjoyable experience, however as with all human interactions, experiences may vary day by day and so we are sorry that your experience was not optimal. On behalf of everyone at Gray Line around the globe, I want to wish you all the best in your future travel experiences. Sincerely, Zachary

Obviously the views were amazing and our driver Freddy was amazing. However, we paid $76 extra per person for the Luxury van instead of the bus. The van microphone didn’t work most of the time. The door was cracked and glued back together. The chairs were peeling. Paying extra for luxury was a waste of money.

Dear lyndsayr, Thank you for being a Gray Line customer and we are sorry that our luxury van didn't match your expectations. Due to a mechanical issue an older vehicle had to be dispatched in place of our regular van, we are sorry that this impacted your tour. In closing, I want to again apologize for missing your expectations and wish you all the best in your future travels. Sincerely, Michael

We joined the west rim small group tour. Our tour guide/driver is Danny Ho. He is very informational and provides very good introduction about the geography, history, villages, high altitude plantation etc. regarding to Grand Canyon west rim. Most importantly, he has very good experiences and provides us many valuable tips to make our skywalk visit easy and smooth. He also has good control of the time so we made to maximize our time of the visit and were able to take our time to visit the Skywalk, enjoy the lunch and also visit Guano point before the tourists crowd came. He drives well and is very attentive, always checking with us if the temperature is ok to make sure everyone is warm. Highly recommended Danny Ho and Gray Line! I will definitely join more gray line’s tours at my time visit Las Vegas in the future!

Our trip to the Grand Canyon West Rim was well worth the money. Our driver/tour guide, Lafayette, was fun, informative, efficient and friendly. The pick up was 30 min late but we still had our full 4 hours at the Canyon. The tour included lunch and water. We tried the Hualapai Fry Bread "taco" and Hualapai stew. Both were large portions and delicious. The Hualapai shuttles were well organized and the wait was between 5-15 min depending on which area you were travelling to. Our only disappointment was to find out that other groups had been picked up next door to our hotel, whereas we were assigned a pick up at a hotel further away. In order to arrive at our pick up location on time, we hired an Uber which cost us $30 US. Lafayette accommodated us when we arrived back by allowing us to depart at our hotel, which was much appreciated.

This was a great tour! The only slight negative was trying to find our pickup area at Planet Hollywood (if you go, follow signs to Hotel Lobby, go down through the lobby and out to the ride share area, turn left and follow signs to bus staging). Once we found the bus our driver Freddy met us with bottled water and a sign up form for breakfast. Freddy was awesome, engaging and funny throughout the trip. He was also super helpful with his tips for how to avoid the long lines at Skywalk and the restaurant. These tips ended up saving us a lot of time and made our trip more enjoyable. The skywalk was awesome and the restaurant at Eagle Ridge had amazing views. The food was average, except the fries were very good. The loop with original tribal houses and teepees was interesting. The views at Guana Point were amazing. The stop at Hoover Dam was a cool quick stop. I would highly recommend this trip and if you can request a driver, ask for Freddy!

We had a fantastic time on this tour thanks to our amazing guide, Danny Ho. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and entertaining. The whole day was very organized, we all knew what was happening every step of the way and there was no confusion or wasted time. He had great tips and advice, and made the day an amazing experience. Thank you Danny Ho!

The only reason for a 4 is because of the breakfast stop. Our tour guide was excellent and the entire trip wonderful. It was nice to be in a smaller van rather than a huge bus. So worth the money for us.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many sights along the way. It was extremely windy out so it was taking a bit longer than normal to get places.

We got on the van at 6:30am with breakfast anticipated fairly quickly. Thought it would be a box breakfast of some sort on the bus. Like a muffin or bagel and an apple with a bottle of water. This is not the tour guides fault at all but Gray line needs to rethink this portion of the trip

We didn’t stop until a little after 10 am at a gas station with a Subway in it. We could order from the breakfast menu. The problem was by the time 16 people order and sit down we had 10 minutes to eat and we weren’t even at the end of the line. It was a very rushed experience and so unnecessary if thought out better. Grayline has some sort of deal with the subway which is fine but finding something a bit closer to town would be better because by 10 we were beyond hungry and on the verge of hangry.

But like I say it was an excellent tour and very friendly and knowledgeable guide.
