Perfect Day on the Lower Madison River
Both of our guides were great and helped the novices in our group. Very low-key, but beautiful way to see Lower Madison River.

      Madison River adventure!
Our kayak experience with Preston and Eric was amazing! Not only do you get to see amazing views through the canyon but some wildlife as well! This is an awesome trip for first time kayakers like myself. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Would love to go out again soon!

During my float with Bozeman Kayak I saw 3 bald eagles, one eating a huge brown trout! We inadvertently paddled upon a flock of pelicans causing them to rise right in front us, which was spectacular! I would recommend Bozeman Kayak for anyone interested in wildlife paddling. 5 STARS.

Eric & Preston were terrific guides. They were extremely knowledgeable about the area and knew exactly where to go to see the best wildlife!

What better way to experience the beauty of Montana than through the winding Madison River with the wondrous landscape on either side. I had never kayaked before but the guides were fun and helpful and made the experience enjoyable. While it was guided, it never felt like the guides were overbearing – they let my group and me roam the river. I am excited to do more kayaking this summer and happy to note that it was this experience that has spurred my interest!

Had a great time on the river. Our guides were knowledgeable on the history of Bozeman, the land surrounding the river, and different animals we encountered as we floated down the river. I felt very safe in the equipment we were using, they made sure our life jackets fit us and that were were seated properly in our kayaks and comfortable. It was a relaxing outdoor excursion that only took about 4 hours of our day.

What a great kayak trip! Our guides were amazing with tidbits about the history of Bozeman and pointing out wildlife during the float. The scenery was gorgeous! We were worried it was going to be a little chilly for the morning trip but it turned out to be a beautiful day. We will definitely go with Bozeman Kayak Company next time we are in the area!

This tour was so relaxing and the views were amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The tour guide had such great information about the area and its history. We also got a couple of cool photo-ops in as well. Would absolutely recommend if you are visiting (or honestly just a local looking for something fun to do!)

Up & running for the 2020 season!! Our family of 7, ages 10-65, kayaked down the the Madison River on 6/2/20 and we loved every minute of it. Very chill and easy to navigate float. We look forward to visiting Bozeman and kayaking again.

Pickup on time at the designed meeting location, by guides Eric and Thomas. Did a little paperwork and loaded up, to head out for a short drive to the put-in location. At the boat ramp, you will have a chance to put on some water shoes, suntan lotion, hat, and use the restroom. If you bring your phone, make sure you have a water proof pouch to keep it dry. Nice float down the river, but you’ll need a small amount of physical power to guide/paddle the kayak away from the shallow areas. The guides did an awesome job instructing is the do’s and don’ts. We saw some wildlife; ducks, pelicans, hawks, woodpeckers, and some other birds. I felt safe doing the entire trip, and really appreciated having guides help us out. At the take out location, there are restrooms, too. All in all, it was a highly organized trip. I recommend this adventure and company.

I had a really great paddle with Eric and Preston, the two river guides, on the Madison River this past Saturday afternoon. They picked us up in the 15 passenger van. And had everything we needed for a fun and safe trip... they even sprinkled some knowledge about the history of the area and wildlife which turned out to be an awesome value add. We saw an Eagle soaring above and watched it make a few hunting swoop attempts, to no avail. We brought a cooler with some suds, which seemed encouraged and partaken by most on the river that day. Trip down the river took about 2 hours. Water temp was perfect, sun was blazing. We mowed through an entire bottle of sun screen. Can't imagine a better way to spend a Saturday during the summer in Bozeman. Give these dudes a call, especially if you are looking for door to door red carpet service.

Neither of us had ever been on a kayak. The views cannot be beat, and the team was outstanding. The Madison is calm and fairly shallow for most of the trip. This kayaking experience is accessible for everyone...I highly recommend it.

Great first time kayaking! You will meet at a distillery and they will pick you up from there and take you to the starting point. While you wait, grab some drinks at the distillery( FYI MT law limits any distillery to selling 2 drinks to each person per day). Our guides showed up one time and took care of everything. The river was not fast or deep during September. It was a great first time learning experience kayaking down a lazy river, as the river does most of the work for you.

Not only was this tour just awesome, the guys who guided us were informative, humorous and gave a very relaxed vibe throughout the excursion. Coming from out of state on vacation, I had only a few days to squeeze in as much of the Montana lifestyle as possible - and the Bozeman Kayak tour was my first stop. What can get better than paddling with a lush scenic view through the Madison? It was great for a beginner and the waters were mellow, the tour ended up taking around 2 hours - and after my first one, I had to repeat it again before we left because it was THAT good. 110% worth the money. Will do this again whenever I get the privilege to visit this incredible state!
