        Wildlife and Waterfalls with Adam
Adam heard our KY accent and naturally slipped in a ya’ll seemlessly right off the bat. He then explained everything from geothermal activity to wildfire cycles and wolf politics as we were interested in a way that made it fascinating for all of us. He’s a true wonder at spotting and scoping wildlife for viewing. He gave us time to absorb nature in silence and marvel at the majesty of the sights he showed us. We would love to come back and take another tour with him. His advice on dining and travel around the park proved spot on as well!

A MUST Do When Visiting Yellowstone!
There were 4 couples so we were lucky to have a private tour by Tied to Nature with our guide, Brian. He picked us up in Island Park at 5:30 am and we headed to the west entrance of Yellowstone. One of the first sights right around daylight was a huge elk bugling, many females and another male (we almost saw a fight!) Across the street were two grizzly bears and a cub! Later we saw bison (lots of them) and another grizzly bear and her cub! We saw mud volcanos, Dragon's Mouth Spring, scenic overlook of Yellowstone Lake, Artist Point Overlook and waterfalls. Before we exited the park we stopped at a nice picnic area and ate lunches which we included. It included a sandwich, chips, apple and a delicious chocolate chip cookie. Brian made sure we had snacks on the bus and drinks. It was the BEST trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting! And Brian was a great guide and answered all our questions and gave us tips on what to see after our tour ended.

        Great Tour! Awesome Guide
It was my family’s first time in Yellowstone and we were excited to see some wildlife. After some research on various tours, we decided on Tied to Nature. They did not disappoint. Our tour guide, Jared, was phenomenal. Extremely knowledgeable about the area and very personable for the diverse crowd in our group. I highly recommend this organization!

        Fantastic Yellowstone Tour!
We toured with Jarrod and not only was he a fantastic tour guide, but he's also just a great guy and fit in well with our group. Very knowledgeable and took us to the best places for our one-day tour. Got to see ample wildlife and had an overall wonderful day at Yellowstone. Highly recommend Tied to Nature!

        Memorable Trip!
I am so glad that my sister and I followed up with booking a tour with Tied to Nature, as recommended by friends! Jared, our guide, was so knowledgeable and knew just where to take us to see everything we had hoped to. I know that we would not have seen half of the places he took us to. I am always the driver, so I miss a lot that way. It was wonderful to have a driver, so I could take in the majesty of the park. The pictures we got were amazing! He truly made it a memorable trip. Thanks Jared, and Tied to Nature! I will recommend you to everyone I know that is making that trip. ps....the sandwiches and snacks were a welcome treat!

        Great tour!!
We had a fabulous tour with Tied to Nature. Our tour guide John was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our group included three families (14 total) with mostly teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 (And a ten year old). John picked us up at 5:30 am and as you can imagine the group was still half asleep. After our first stop everyone woke up and John was prepared for all of our questions. We were able to see grizzlies, elk, wolves and lots of bison. The waterfalls were beautiful. John brought us to a secluded lunch spot by the water. The lunch provided was perfect. I would highly recommend Tied to Nature.

        BEST DAY EVER!
It was just my husband and me with our Tied To Nature guide, Jarod. He was our MOST AMAZING personal guide. He did all the work so we didn't have to. He got us in the park before the crowds. We didn't have to struggle with maps or with trying to drive while sightseeing. He expertly maneuvered traffic and parking to make sure we saw all there was to see. He had a high powered scope which made it possible for us to view wildlife from far away. He showed us waterfalls and grizzly bears and wolf dens and buffalo and volcanic eruptions of all sizes--including Old Faithful. He was our personal photographer and took amazing pictures throughout the day--then sent them to us after our tour was over. He had drinks and snacks in the van and a wonderful lunch packed for us which we had at the Old Faithful Inn--a simply breathtaking venue and so much fun. While we traveled from site to site, Jarod talked to us about the most amazing topics. He was a wealth of knowledge about all things Yellowstone. I wish I had recorded everything he said! Jarod even helped us plan our next two days since we would be on our own. That ended up being easy for us since he taught us the best way to see Yellowstone! We had Jarod for eight hours but the time went by too fast. In closing, we would wholeheartedly recommend a private tour with Tied To Nature and we would recommend Jarod for THE BEST DAY EVER!!

A new geyser erupted while we were in the park! Coincidence?
We took Yellowstone tours with Tied to Nature this week, a day on the lower loop with stops at Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with spectacular waterfall views from both close and far away vistas. The large, new van had plenty of room for us, from 8 to 68 and from 4 ft to 6’8”. Our guide for both days, John Bybee, was knowledgeable and a great driver navigating crowds and stopping at so many sites we had to write them down. Never telling us where we were going he would ask if we wanted to go here or there. Tied to Nature are the guides on the side not the sage on the stage. From his early arrival at 6:15 the first day for a 6:30 pickup, no waiting, to our secluded lunches where we ate at picnic benches with sweeping views, Tied to Nature made us feel like we were the only people in the park. Not 20 minutes into our first day our guide spotted a bald eagle flying low over the river next to the road, the bird watcher’s holy grail. Several Black Bears were eating wildflowers on the side of the road where we stopped and watched from across the street. We sounded the same when we saw a bear as we would riding a rollercoaster. Day 2, the day a new geyser feature emerged in Biscuit Basin, we toured the upper loop where we spotted many animals from the van and stopped to view vast herds of buffalo with our Tied to Nature binoculars and John’s Zeiss scope with a large screen attached, giving us amazing views of an Osprey couple feeding their babies in a huge nest and wolves chasing Bison then the Bison herd chasing the wolves. He later sent videos he recorded from the Zeiss of the encounters to go with our 300+ pics and videos. We have lasting memories of our trip. There were hundreds of barn swallows in mud nests under the eaves of a 140 year old barn and corrals used to house the original Bison brought to Yellowstone in the Lamar Valley, don’t stand under the eaves. The Sandhill crane was a rare sighting and a yellow striped Marmot posed for us on a nearby rock. Elk, Mule deer, a Black Wolf and 2 pups from the Junction Butte pack and an American antelope shared their meadows with us. Canadian Geese flew over as a badger scooted by our van. 8 year old Stella had her eyes closed in the van riding between stops I assumed she was sleeping. She told me later she was actually listening to John’s calm descriptions of the animals, thermal features and history. She didn’t miss a story. When John brought out the Zeiss spotting scope with the large screen attached to the viewfinder we had clear views of wolves and buffalos over a mile away and of Osprey feeding chicks in the nest. Other park visitors gravitated to the Zeiss even though they had their own scopes also because of John’s calm, friendly descriptions even as you could hear other guides shouting to their groups some with mic amplifiers, as they spotted animals. John would simply step back from his screen and quietly describe animals and history, still attracting curious visitors. I thought at first, “Hey, that’s our guide” but soon realized the beauty of Yellowstone is a shared experience for all. I felt a sense of pride when a women and her young daughter approached John and asked how to get to Gibbon Falls. When we arrived there and saw them I was glad they found it because of our friendly group. We booked our tour over a year ago, giving us plenty of time to watch Adam Brubaker’s Podcasts and Ken Burn’s Yellowstone documentaries giving us a perspective on the importance of the area for the Shoshone, Blackfoot and Sioux people, the first citizens of Yellowstone. Thanks to our friend and nature photographer Seth Brandes for recommending Tied to Nature, we won’t forget our special days in America’s Serengeti!

        Just perfect
It was our first time to Yellowstone and I’m so pleased we booked this tour we got to see things we would never have done on our own. We saw Bears, Bison, Elk mountain goats and the most amazing scenery. Jarred was our tour guide and he was fantastic his knowledge of the area was amazing from the nature to the history. And the bonus was as he knew the park so well we missed the crowds at all the hot spots which made it all the more lovely. Thank you Jarred for making our Yellowstone trip one we will never forget.

Great day on the lower loop.
Brian Barton was our guide. Brian was very knowledgeable of the sights we visited and of the park in general. Because of his expertise in wildlife behavior we were able to get spectacular video of a black bear. He timed our arrival to Old Faithful perfectly. Brian made the tour very enjoyable.

        First Time to Yellowstone
For our first time in Yellowstone Brian made sure to make the experience memorable. He was very informative and attentive. He made sure to share plenty of interesting and fun facts about Yellowstone. He brought us to places we wouldn't have thought to go if we didn't have him we would have been lost. Thank you Brian for making this the best experience for our family.

        Highly Recommend "Tied to Nature"
Before booking with "Tied to Nature" for a long planned and highly anticipated family trip to Yellowstone NP for my family of 9, I did extensive research and received many referrals for a knowledgable and trustworthy guide service. "Tied to Nature" did not disappoint. Our guide, Brian went above and beyond to make sure our 2 days of tour included exactly what we wanted to see...especially the wildlife. His extensive knowledge of the park gave us the opportunity to visit and learn about the most interesting park highlights while he navigated to the best wildlife viewing locations. My grandchildren were thrilled to see Bison, Pronghorn, Coyote, Black Bear, Grizzly and so much more. We could not ask more of a park guide...Brian was terrific. Even the picnic lunch which "Tied to Nature" provided exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend!

        Great Experience!
I booked this tour in hopes that our two teenage grandsons would be able to experience Yellowstone at its best - and it certainly delivered! Jared tailored our experience to what we wanted to see and knew exactly where to take us to see wildlife. 9 bears, elk, prong-horns, bison, marmots, and a wolf were the highlights! He knew so much about the park as a local and knew how to engage the grandsons in the experience - despite starting out at 5:30am! The bag lunch was exceptionally good and scored an A+ from the boys! He also provided us all the photos taken with his spotting scope during our tour. We were very happy with our experience and would book with Tied to Nature again on a trip to Yellowstone.

We saw 3 wolves, a grizzly bear, and lots of bison and elk. We saw waterfalls, the prismatic, and old faithful. The lunch was very good as well. Worth every penny! Thanks Brian!

I highly recommend this company for any tours of Yellowstone. I did two Wildlife Tours with Tied to Nature at the end of May, 2022. The first was with guide Scott, and the second was with Adam and John. I booked the first tour for the group I was traveling with. The second was just for me when the rest of the group decided to go to Bozeman.

The guides were incredible spotters. They’d see a shadow move somewhere in their peripheral vision and know not only that it was an animal, but what type of animal it was. They were also extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the Park - geology, biology, a little physics (the geysers), and chemistry. They not only live near the Park, they LOVE the Park and all things related to it, and it shows in their enthusiasm, curiosity, and the breadth of detail they relay. The guides were equipped with spotting scopes and set them up in a flash so you could get a close up of the critters, which were sometimes right on the road, and sometimes a mile or more away. The scopes also allowed for great pictures and videos.

The vehicles were roomy and clean. The guides were diligent is seeing to your comfort and made sure you had all the breaks you needed to relieve yourself. The snacks and drinks were varied and plentiful. The packed lunches were substantial. They vans were driven safely and with confidence by the guides.

Wildlife spotting is always a gamble. You’re at the mercy of the animals, who may or may not cooperate. I can tell you, if there’s an animal out there, this bunch will find it for you. We happened to be in Yellowstone in what I think is the ideal time for wildlife. All the animals were moving down to the valley and had their newborns and young ones with them. What we saw included grizzly bear (with cubs), black bear (with cubs), wolves (with pups), coyotes (with pups), bison (with calves), pronghorn, mountain goats, big horn sheep, elk, moose, bald eagle, golden eagle, osprey, ground squirrels, mule deer, ravens, magpies, and red-tailed hawks. Basically, best time ever!

We had a fantastic time, it seemed like we were on tour with the whole company not just one person. Our guide had connections throughout the park to pinpoint exact locations of wildlife. We went on three tours while in Yellowstone and two of them with Tied to Nature. We saw and photographed wildlife that others only dream of. We could not have done this ourselves without the help of such a wonderful tour guide. we recommend getting a tour guide for wildlife and we can only recommend Tied to Nature as the best in the business.

Seeing so many animals in Yellowstone was the highlight of our trip. We spent a beautiful day with our guide in a comfortable van with big windows seeing everything from bison to badgers. The best part of the day was seeing a wolf!! (Our three year old granddaughters request!) it was amazing to watch through the spotting scope and the binoculars! (All provide by the guide.) Levi, our guide was very patient with our four young grandchildren even during frequent potty stops. All three older kids are still talking about this adventure. Lunch was very good and our picnic location was beautiful. A day non of us will soon forget. We would highly recommend “Tied to Nature” to see wildlife and Yellowstone in an easy relaxing way. Thank you Levi!

We did a tour with Adam in Spring of 2023. He did a great job of tailoring the tour for my grandmother who has mobility issues. We spent the entire week in the park and by far the most wildlife we saw was on this tour. He did a great job of being dynamic as we went through the park to make sure we caught the wolves and bears as well as a variety of other animals and sights. He also gave great recommendations for things to do during the rest of our time in the area.

Kyle was our tour guide for a family of four, and we highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. We indicated that our priority was to see wildlife, so he took us first to Hayden Valley, where he spotted bison and elk, as well as a bear hunting some bison. In a different part of the valley, Kyle spotted a momma bear and cub that we observed for some time. Kyle's quick reflexes also located a male wolf for us, which we observed from a 50-100 foot distance, and that was a real treat. We also visited the Yellowstone Grand Canyon and a few thermal features. The tour also provided a picnic lunch, which Kyle served to us on a tablecloth etc. The experience was worth every penny!

Brian is a warm, engaging person and did a wonderful job telling us about Yellowstone Park, driving us to great animal viewing sites, providing us with lots of information and answering our many questions. He was terrific at spotting animals at a distance and setting up his viewing scope so that we could see them perfectly. He took many photos and videos through the scope and shared them with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour.

Had our family of 7 on a wildlife tour of Yellowstone with Tied to Nature. Our guide, Brian, was very knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife and has a calming and kind personality. He spent time teaching us about the different places we were passing through as we made it to our ultimate destination of Lamar Valley. We saw a ton of animals including elk, a grizzly bear, a black bear, a black wolf, plenty of bison, elk, sheep, osprey and a pair of bald eagles.

What makes a trip like this enjoyable is that you can enjoy the scenery and knowledge of a professional who knows the park and where to look for animals. He also has spotting scopes and a phone connector to use for longer distance viewing/recording. Make sure you get some videos and pictures like that. They are way better than you will get with your phone or even a decent SLR.

Final note. Brian suggested we follow him in to Madison Junction because we planned to go see more of the park after our tour ended. That saved us at least 45 min of driving back and forth to West Yellowstone and we were able to head down to see many of the thermal features in and around Old Faithful to wrap up our afternoon. Great trip - thanks Brian! Highly recommend.

A group of 8 of us went on the wildlife tour and our guide Brian was fantastic. It was great having the van pick us up (very clean and comfortable) from our cabin and they had plenty of snacks and drinks and the lunch sandwiches were thick with deli meat. Brian was very informative and ensured we were comfortable and safe and went at our pace. He gave plenty of options and customized the tour to what we wanted to see and experience. He had all the right equipment (binoculars for everyone and his scope could pickup I ages far away and he videoed the animals so we could have them for later). We saw black bear, mountain goats, grizzly bears (w/cubs), grey wolf and a black wolf pack (and of course tons of bison). If you are wanting to see wildlife we highly recommend Tied to Nature.

We spent 2 days with Kyle; the first day was doing the lower loop and the second was in the Lamar Valley animal watching. Kyle is such a gentleman and so knowledgeable about Yellowstone. Touring with Kyle meant we made very efficient use of our 2 days - he knew where to go, was competent driving in the snow and it also meant we could be looking out the windows all the time rather than concentrating on the road. We saw adult and baby bisons, wolves, bears (black and grizzly) osprey, big horn sheep and eagles. We would definitely recommend Kyle for a tour through Yellowstone. 👍

Amazing wildlife tour, we saw bears with cubs, grizzlies with cubs, a puppy wolf yup, never seen that in my life it was absolutely amazing, a pronghorn with a baby, bisons with red dogs so stinking cute, a red fox in a mountain covered with snow silently waiting to capture his prey, a bald eagle perched on a tree, mountain goats and yeah a baby mountain goat it was beautiful. The experience that our guide Scott gave us was the best, this guy was knowledgeable and he had a great personality, he knew everything about the park, he spotted animals from far away just with his naked eye, he also introduced me to the wolf world expert Rick McIntyre it was an honor and a pleasure to have met this incredible human being that knows everything about wolves. I would recommend this private tour to everyone that is interested in being alive and that enjoys nature because really that’s all we have in this wonderful world! Thank you Scott!
