Two hour mangrove tunnel and manatee dolphin sighting tour in beautiful Sarasota Bay on Lido Key led by a trained and experience guide.
From US$50.00
Florida's mangrove forests form shady canals and tunnels that are ideal for kayaks, and the maneuverable craft of kayaking allows you to go where larger boats can't. This guided, small-group tour explores the Sarasota Bay while searching for manatees and dolphins, and then goes deep into the mangroves to spot even more native plants and wildlife. With a kayak guide to lead the way, you can also learn paddling techniques that come in handy.
What to Expect
Make your way to a central location in Sarasota that's near Lido Beach, and start by getting fitted with a kayak, paddle, and personal flotation device.

Good for kayakers of all skill levels, this boat trip starts with a briefing on paddling techniques and safety. It also uses kayaks that are easy to steer and quite stable, great for the calm waters of the bay.

After launching the kayaks, paddle around the bay, and search for manatees and dolphins, wildlife native to the Florida coast. Next, duck underneath the mangrove canopy, where trees thrive in the salty coastal water, providing habitat for a wide range of animals and smaller plants.

This kayak tour concludes at the original departure point.
