We had a great cruise with Captain Charlie & First Mate Aaron! We had beautiful weather and heard lots of interesting history of the area.
Board the M/V Edison Explorer at the Marina at Edison Ford where your captain will take you on a 90-minute Sunset Cruise north on the Caloosahatchee River, home to mangroves, river islands and an eco-system as unique as its history. Certified Captains provide entertaining commentary on the history of the river and Fort Myers as they provide details on any wildlife spotted along the way. Guests love the views from the water of downtown Fort Myers and the cultural gem, Thomas Edison & Henry Ford Winter Estates. You will love moving freely throughout the boat to get the best view capturing memories that will last a lifetime! A marine restroom is available on the boat and refreshments are available for purchase on board too. Your captain will return back to the Marina at Edison Ford where you can enjoy a variety of additional activities including dining at Pincher’s Restaurant or heading into downtown Fort Myers to enjoy a variety of fascinating restaurants and an eclectic group of boutique shops and art galleries.
This was a very nice cruise and the captain had a great way of sharing the local history of Ft.Myers as well as his passion for the mangroves and how they are vital to the local ecosystem. The sunset was absolutely stunning!
This was a nice cruise up the river but not much to see. Some mangrove trees and homes. we did have a nice sunset, but pricey at $35 per person plus an (optional) tip. Captain was entertaining told some good stories. First mate sold drinks.
The sunset cruise was really enjoyable with the Captain and First Mate offering an interesting talk as we cruised up the Caloosahatchee river. Especially nice was the free ticket (and free drink) for veterans on Veteran's Day! Well done!
