Denver and Foothills Mountain Small-Group Tour
US$63.00
Overview
Explore beyond Denver and head for the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on a small-group tour. Stunning panoramas, pine forests, Wild West history, and scenic canyon roads are within easy reach of the Mile High City, so you can get out of town even if you just have a half-day to spare and no car. Stops include the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the town of Golden, home of Coors brewing.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and small group of no more than 14 in downtown Denver, and begin with a visit to historic Larimer Square, one of the city’s oldest places that's now a shopping and dining hub. Hop in the bus and head west into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just a 30-minute drive away. See the legendary music venue and ancient sandstone formations at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Park, and follow the scenic Bear Creek Canyon to the typical mountain town of Evergreen, where you’ll stop for photos.

Get a glimpse of Colorado’s ‘beasts of the plains’ at the Buffalo Herd Overlook on the way up Lookout Mountain, one of the closest peaks to Denver that offers stunning views of the Front Range. You can also pay tribute to a chapter of Wild West history at the grave of frontier showman Buffalo Bill. Take the scenic Lariat Loop down the mountain to the town of Golden, home to the Coors brewing company. Take a walk around the charming main street here before returning to Denver.

Yes, you could bring a 3 yr old. I don't think it would interest a child that age but could very easily be done.
