Denver and Foothills Mountain Small-Group Tour
US$63.00
Overview
Explore beyond Denver and head for the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on this small-group tour with transportation included. Mountain panoramas, pine forests, Wild West history, and scenic canyon roads are within easy reach of the Mile High City, so you can get out of town even if you just have a half-day to spare. Stops include the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the town of Golden, home of Coors brewing.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and small group in downtown Denver, and visit historic Larimer Square, which now serves as a shopping and dining hub. Hop in the bus and head west into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. See the legendary music venue and ancient sandstone formations at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre, and follow the scenic Bear Creek Canyon to the town of Evergreen, where you stop for photos.

Get a glimpse of Colorado’s “beasts of the plains” at Buffalo Herd Overlook on the way to Lookout Mountain, which offers stunning views of the Front Range. Pay tribute to a chapter of Wild West history at the grave of frontier showman Buffalo Bill. Take the scenic Lariat Loop down the mountain to the town of Golden, home to the Coors brewing company. Take a walk around the charming main street here before returning to Denver, where your tour ends.

Please stop talking...

We did not enjoy this tour very much. The tour guide talked non-stop in a mono-tone about uninteresting things. It was 105 degrees and he kept turning off the AC so that he could be heard. We were in the back of a large passenger...More

Our tour started promptly very close to our hotel. It was a Monday and there were only four on our tour including my wife and me in the comfortable 15 passenger Mercedes van. Our guide & driver, Guy, was an encyclopedia. His knowledge of the...More

I think the biggest problem will be getting in and out of the van. The walking can be minimal because you don’t need to exert yourself at each stop and there are places to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery.
