Overview
Experience Palm Springs’ wilder side with admission to The Living Desert, a zoo and botanical garden that showcase desert plants and wildlife from around the world. Explore the 1200-acre (486-ha) property on hiking trails and extensive tram lines that cross ecosystems from Africa, the Americas and the Australian Outback. Watch for the park’s 450 animals as you learn how they adapt to life in earth’s most arid places, and enjoy live shows, animal feedings and family-friendly activities aimed at education and conservation.
What to Expect

The Living Desert is a zoo and botanical conservation park. We have over 450 different animals with boasting over 2,000 unique flora and fauna species within our botanical gardens. Our park showcases the unique and diverse desert animals of North America and Africa. 

The Living Desert operates from 9am-5pm October through May, and 8am-1:30pm June through September. Your ticket includes admission to the park and the opportunity to check out this list of daily programming:

9:00- 9:30 am - Giraffe Feeding
9:30 am - Animal Presentation at the Wildlife Hospital
10:00 am - Reptile show at Village Watutu
11:00-11:30 am - Giraffe Feeding
12:00 pm - Animal Presentation at the Discovery Center

Disappointing!
