Starting at the Wat Intrangean / Wat Krom Buddhist Monastery you will have a chance to visit Cambodian Buddhist monks and learn about the intriguing history behind this temple. Buddhist temples and pagodas are the foundation of Cambodia’s community focused lifestyle. Next is Sihanoukville’s main local market Psar Leu Market, a cultural experience in itself, this market is filled with everything you can imagine from local fruit and fresh produce and of course, fresh seafood. In the afternoon, we head out to visit a fishing village called ‘Tumnob Rolok’. We travel 2kms north of Sihanoukville to the port where we will be able to witness the life of Cambodian fishermen.

          So very sad history
A very sad history that needs to be told how over 3 million people were tortured and killed. A devastating event that I didn’t really know much about, I’m so glad I visited and could pay my respects to the innocent people Well worth a visit

Most impressive historical site in the world
What can I say… just breathtaking. Maybe the most impressive historia site I have seen. Especially when coming there early morning, we were there for sunrise. A lot of people of course but no wonder since it is a world wonder! The place is massive so even if there are a lot of people you don’t feel cramped.

          Lesson in Cambodia’s dark past
Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants learn about Cambodias past. It’s confronting but worthwhile to understand and learn from. Taught me and my family respect and kindness to all humans no matter what race, religion or colour we are.

Left us stranded at the airport
I booked an airport pick-up with Angkor TK Travel and Tours several months before we were due to arrive. About two weeks before our arrival the airline changed our flight time and I emailed Angkor TK Travel and Tours to advise them of the new arrival time. They acknowledged my email and advised me someone would be there to greet us. However, when we arrived at the schedule time there was no one there. We walked around the airport arrivals checking all of the signboards with names and no one was there for us. Eventually, we booked a car at the transport desk just outside of the airport. This car was ready immediately and took us straight to our hotel (for the same price as the pre-booked transfer). I would recommend not booking a transfer and using this service instead.

          CAUTION - Unreliable airport transfer!
I booked airport transfer from this company 2 days in advance via Get Your Guide. Provided flight information, plane was on time got through customs and no one was there. Walked around a sea of signs like an idiot for 30 minutes, called twice was told “I’m sorry let me call the driver”. Prepaid - ended up calling a taxi. Unless you like standing in the heat walking around in circles. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

          Very important
It was a very sad, harrowing experience coming here and learning about the history of what happened. Perhaps ignorantly, I knew nothing of the tragic history of Cambodia so it felt important I come here to learn more.

          Kampot and Kep tour
amazing experience! The mangrove forest and boat ride was a treat. The pre-arranged lunch was unbelievable--7 full courses! Be prepared as the food was absolutely delicious, too much for two of us as each course was a full plate!!

before I chose I read some mixed reviews. Some people were doing it for the second time but I will not advise it unless you are stuck in Sihanoukville and there is nothing eles to do

          beautiful waterfall and lunch
I had set this up in advance of my trip, but was having a hard time communicating about a meeting place when I got off the cruise ship. When I got off the shuttle, I was bombarded by people offering taxi services, etc. I held up my paper and said I already had a tour. Luckily a man there looked at my info and gave the tour company a call. They called back and said they were working on finding the driver. Finally a man comes up to me and says he's my driver. I was a little hesitant, and said that I had already paid for the tour, in case he was expecting money. He said that he would get reimbursed, so it was fine. We got in the car, and stopped to visit a pagoda. It was very nice, as they usually are, except for the two men that had lost their legs to land mines in the civil war. I gave them each some money because it was heartbreaking. Then a child comes up to me and asks for money and I told him he had both his legs. He was fine. He should learn to make something to sell to people instead of just looking for a hand out. From there, my driver said we had to go to where the official driver was. He was just a taxi driver. OK, fine. We get to the other driver, and both of them came along with me. After that, everything was great. We drove out to the waterfall, which was a beautiful spot. Also, there were these metal huts with hammocks in them where you could lay there and listen to the water. There were places that had food for lunch. I looked at the menu, and saw BBQ chicken. He said that was for a whole chicken for $16. I said that was fine, all 3 of us could eat it. So I bought them lunch, and had a couple beers. It was a very nice day. Then we went into town and visited the market, which is always interesting.

          White sand Beaches
Sihanoukville is still underdeveloped. It is very dusty as a lot of road construction is going on. Taking a tuk tuk is not advisable as it is dusty. we supposed to go to the waterfall but due to the dry season it was dry so did not end up going there. I wish the tour agent would have told me in advance as the tour was not cheap. But the tour guide was very informative with good English. The beaches there are beautiful.

          Very Professional
My friend and I were very happy we booked this tour. It made our trip convenient and more enjoyable. The team was very professional and made sure our visit was pleasant. Mr. John, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the temples and his command of English is excellent. He would gladly take our pictures and always tells us the best spot for photo ops. They even provide us with some cold bottled water and wet tissue every after each temple tour! Thank you for a great sightseeing and culture experience. ;)
