- K2KBunny0 contributionsMust Visit! Sardinia's Best Kept SecretWe were wonderfully surprised by this exceptional contemporary art museum, highlighting the works of artist Costantino Nivola (1911-1988). This modern museum has a stunning and tranquil setting on the hillside overlooking the small village of Orani. There are several buildings surrounded by lovely landscaping and centered on a peaceful plaza. You can view Nivola's work indoors and outdoors. His most recent sculptures are superb! One could easily spend an hour or so to enjoy the art, stroll the gardens and soak in the views with a cup of coffee or refreshment which is served at the small, onsite cafe. Entry is a modest 5 euros, and there are special exhibits beyond Nivola's art. We highly recommend including a visit in your itinerary to central and northern Sardinia.Written 26 May 2019
- Youngryman0 contributionsWorth A DetourA beautiful modern museum filled with sublime work by Constantino Nivola inside and out. Lovely setting overlooking the town of Orani. We spent a few hours there and it was well worth it as part of our 3-week exploration of this charming island. A nice balance to the natural wonders with which Sardinia is full to overflowing.Written 4 December 2018
- Sergio C0 contributionsA hidden gem to exploreGoing away from the coast and inside Sardinia is always a discovery journey. Even more rewarding when you discover such a hidden gem. The museum is really well placed in the birthplace of Costantino Nivola, a Sardinian sculptor and artist that has been active especially in New York. And this small museum displays a great retrospective of his job. A must see.Written 1 August 2017

Beautiful works of art by this Sardinian artist who lived most of his years in the United States (fled from fascism). The buildings themselves are also beautiful.
