          Disappointing Tour, Great Area!!
After much hesitation, I decided to write a review, so that what happened to us would not happen to others. First, the communication with Paul was very poor, after we paid for the trip, before the payment he answered relatively quickly, but after we paid for the trip, his response was very poor. We booked a trip for three full days, the trip was in August 2019, including accommodation, and a package of photos and video, we booked high class accommodation, and the second night we got a room in a run-down hotel with no showers at all, no heating, and at night the temperature dropped below zero, and the sheets and blankets were musty. In addition, we paid for a photo and video package, a sum of $ 250, and in practice the photos were poor and uninvested, relative to other photos we saw in the salt flats area. In conclusion, if we'll return for a trip in the area, we will book a trip with one of the large companies, and certainly not with a one-man company.

          Got lots of Salt!
I would have written this review for Paul himself but I feel Got Salt is what Paul stands for. Right before we planned the tour, Paul was very cordial and quick in responding to the questions, we felt is very important as that sets up the tempo for the tour. We tool the 2 nights 3 days tour which was amazing. Paul again was very friendly and was very passionate about the tours. He explained a lot of things about the geography. I had a lot of issues with the altitude but Paul took care of us really well by adjusting the itinerary. Kudos to Got Salt!

Good tour, but with small flaws
First of all, I must say that the 3-day tour itself was well organized, we had everything we needed, food during the tour was plentiful and pretty good. Our driver Orlando was friendly and eager to help us when we needed him to take pictures. We have never had any problems with the car, which is rare for Bolivia. The salt flats were definitely the highlight of the tour, while the lagoons were just ok. The landscape of the national park is beautiful, but very monotonous, so after a couple of hours in a car it seems like you've seen it all. Small things to improve - communication prior to the tour could've been much better. Paul was very difficult to get hold of at times. After failing to get any response to my emails I finally managed to reach him by whatsapp. I understand that things might get busy during the high season, but having someone reply to messages regularly is important. The hotel where we stayed at Uyuni was nice, the room was spacious and comfortable, but the food was a complete miss. Dinner was very poor, there was only one course and it wasn't that big, both of us were left hungry after finishing it. Breakfast was much better except for the fact that milk was spoiled and the hotel staff didn't even care to apologize. Second hotel was very simple and rustic and the door to the room wasn't possible to lock, but in some ways it was actually better than we expected - there was access to electricity in the evening and the beds were quite comfortable and warm during the night. All in all I would recommend Got Salt, as the service they provided to us was generally good, but I really hope that they will improve on the few important matters I mentioned.

          Adventurous 3 day-tour
We had a great time with Paul Guardia. We discovered Bolivia in 3 days. The first day we saw the Salt flats and Paul provided us with a lunch in the middle of the flats. This was an amazing experience. He made some outstanding pictures and videos and we enjoyed the sunset. The salt hotel we stayed in was very comfortabel. The next day we drove towards Andina Eduardo National Park and observed many flamingos. Stunning vulcano's! We spend the night at 4950 masl. We didn't need it but Paul showed us how to use the oxygen. The third day we saw the colored mountains, lagoons and geysers. Stunning! Paul drove safely, his English is impeccable and he chose locations away from the other tours. We had an amazing trip! Thanks Paul! Some minor remarks: the packing list includes sleeping bags which you don't need. And lags swimwear.

          Incredible Experience
We had a great time. We saw the salt flats - both dry and wet. We also saw a number of lagoons, flamingoes, mountains, desert... the places we stayed were nice. Paul was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable. He was also very helpful when we weren’t on tour. We ran into issues with our flights and he was amazing and helped us go to town from the airport to get pizza. I’ve already recommended him to friends. Definitely one of the best trips we’ve taken!

3 day 100% salt tour - highlight of Bolivia trip
We did the 100% salt tour (3 days, 2 nights) with Paul from GOT Salt Bolivia. The communication before the tour was a bit slow at times, but he was amazing in organizing the tour, flexibly rescheduling different parts to ensure we had the best possible experience, e.g. he switched the order of our planned activities to ensure we were able to see all colored lagoons in the best light despite icy weather conditions, taking care of a very serious food allergy in our private group, providing information and insights into culture, wildlife and nature during the trip and scheduling our activities in a way that we almost always were able to avoid the masses of other tours that travel the salt flats and the Eduardo Avaroa NP. I highly recommend booking with GOT Salt Bolivia, as they will do anything in their power to make your stay unforgettable.

          A great tour and guide
We had the pleasure of touring parts of Bolivia with Got Salt Tours. We had several great days with Paul, who took us to so many interesting places, culminating in a day in the salt flats. Paul was a great guide, full of interesting information about all the places we visited. He was attentive to all the members of my family. After the tour he helped us get food for the family as the airport didn’t have much. We would highly recommend the 3 day tour with Got Salt and appreciate the personalised attention we received from Paul.

Private 2-day tour including Laguna Colorada and the salt flats
We had a private 2-day tour including the visit to Laguna Colorada and the salt flats in July. For travelers with limited time like us, this tailored private 2-day tour met all our needs and my husband and I were both very happy. The tour was fantastic, luckily we saw everything as expected, including the red lake (non-frozen), flamingos (still plenty of them), giant cactus, the salt flats during daytime and sunset (water zone). The guide, Marbel, and the driver, Diego, were very professional, not only their abundant knowledge but also very good driving skills. The food was great, we enjoyed every meal, especially our first-day lunch by the lakefront viewpoint with flamingos, and our second-day lunch on the salt flats. Pros and cons for this tour: Pros: (1) Paul from Got Salt Bolivia is the only one who replied my email about the 2-day private tour inquiry. Although the price is high (US$ 1,200 plus US$ 60 PayPal transaction fees), we still paid for it because it's very difficult to find other tour agencies in Uyuni area for such tour. (it looks the minimum/standard length for the tour to Laguna Colorada is at least a 3-day tour) (2) On the first day, we departed at 8:00am and arrived the lodge at around 5:00pm; on the second day, we departed at 6:00am and returned to Uyuni hotel after sunset. The time schedule and route were well planned. I sincerely recommend that tour agencies can promote this 2-day tour itinerary because short-term travelers can have the chance see so many different spectacular views within such a short amount of time. (3) Our guide, Marbel, took a lot of fun pictures for us on the salt flats. Those photos and videos were definitely the best souvenirs for our Uyuni trip. Thank you, Marbel! (4) Our driver, Diego, drives very carefully and safely, and his music collection is great! On our trip to Laguna Colorada, it literally has no "road" but just dusts and sands, but we felt very safe and comfortable all the time. Cons: (1) Paul offered complimentary transfers from/to the airport, which was thoughtful but we got some little surprises. Our flight was scheduled to arrive UYU on July 18, however on June 18 I received a message from Paul asking if we're in the airport, because he booked our tour one month ahead. Which made me very nervous and worried for the entire month, because I was so afraid that we couldn't be able to have the tour as scheduled, especially when I already paid in full several months ago. Thankfully Paul showed up in UYU airport on July 18 so we can finally relieved. (2) After the fantastic 2-day tour, on our departure day to the airport on July 21, we were waiting in the hotel at 6:50am (as confirmed with Paul the day earlier) but no one showed up. We called Paul and surprisingly found out his car was frozen and couldn't start, and no one would be sent to pick us up. In the end, it was our hotel that helped us to call a taxi to the airport (we were the last 2 passengers to check in on that flight). We were a bit frustrated, because if the hotel staff didn't remind us to call Paul, we'd be waiting in the lobby till we missed our flight. It's not about the free ride, it's about whether we could get to the airport on time. What I learnt from this experience is "always have a plan B if Plan A fails you". Overall, the 2-day tour itself is worth every penny, especially we were lucky enough to have a very good weather condition in this wintertime. The only thing that needs improvement would be the communication part, we'd need to re-confirm again and again to make sure our tour is on schedule.

Wow Wow Wow. Need to send out the BIGGEST Thankyou to Israel (our guide) and Diego (our driver). They made our tour full of wonderful memories. I bought an Aussie Boxing Kangaroo flag with me and with their help attached to the flagpole, I was so excited. Israel also was fantastic at photography, creating lifelong memories for us. I can't say enough how fabulous our tour was. Book Got Salt Tours and you won't be disappointed. Thankyou again for our breathless moments.

          Perfection !!!
He speaks English very very well. So we were 4 traveling from the USA. I didn’t plan too much time here, I wish I could have stayed longer. They managed to squeeze everything we wanted to do. He helped down to the recommendations of the hotel which was GREAT!! You have to do the night shots!! They were excellent. The Day was spectacular and we had lunch. I travel a lot by far one of my best tours and tour guide. Everything was above my expectations could have ever been!! Must!! EPIC TRIP

SPECTACULAR 3 day 2 night Tour of Salt Flats, highlands, deserts, lagoons and everchanging scenery!
GotSalt Bolivia Guide Paul Giardia took us on a 4x4 jeep tour of the Bolivian countryside. He was well prepared, informed and passionate about his country, it's history and the areas we visited over the 3 days. Our day on the Salt Flats was filled will a fun day of picture taking and a home cooked lunch at a table in the middle of the flats. Absolute heaven!!! and like nothing I have ever seen before... From there we ventured into the National Park where we visited 4 different lagoons, saw the sun rise over the mountain ranges to seeing geysers erupting from the ground. A true adventure where we got to a height of 5000m above sea level. The landscapes changed by the hour and Paul was very accommodating with stops to allow us to capture and take in all of what we were seeing and experiencing. Things you must bring would be sunscreen, sunglasses, lightweight warm jacket, layers of clothing and comfortable walking shoes. An very experienced guide is a must to navigate the routes through the desert. I would highly recommend GotSalt to all.

          Fantastic 3 day tour
We had a great 3 day tour with Paul via the salt flats and high desert . Paul was both informative and entertaining with the history, the terrain and the star gazing (awesome on a clear night). If you are planning a trip to the salt flats this may be a once in a lifetime experience so go with one of the best it may be a bit more expensive however why take a chance go with an experienced operator there is a reason Paul has such great reviews. Paul help us out when we had to change plans because of the flooding in San Pedro de Atacama and arranged a driver to get us to the airport in calama (thanks again Paul)

Awesome 4d trip from Calama to Uyuni
We can’t rate Paul and his team at Got Salt highly enough. We had a wonderful 4 days and it exceeded expectations. As two females we were apprehensive about traveling alone but wanted a private guide, English speaking tour and a company that didn’t take you to the same places at the same time as every other tour company. It may be a little more expensive but it is completely worth it! Paul and his driver Eli gave us that and so much more! They were personable, knowledgeable and kept us safe the entire journey. We even suffered some altitude sickness and they had oxygen tanks to get us through the trip. This was a bucket list item for us and we did it in style with Got Salt!

The car was great, the food far better than anticipated & Paul’s experience & knowledge was exceptional. They guys went over & above & made everything just perfect. Could not recommend more highly!

Had an amazing three-day tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats with Paul and Ivan - anyone who is looking to tour this magnificent area should definitely plan to go with Got Salt. You can go with any tour and see the incredible sights of this area - but the knowledge, friendliness, and experience that Paul brought to the tour was invaluable and really took this experience to the next level. We learned loads about the fauna, landscape, and history of the area from both guides. As an avid videographer, I loved that Paul also knew where to take us to best capture the beauty of this gorgeous area. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience the Salar de Uyuni.

Did a private tour with Got Salt and it was amazing. They promptly picked us up at the airport and at 10am we began the tour. Our Guide maribel was excellent and so was the driver. They tailored to sour needs and helped us take amazing pictures! When setting up the our Paul was quick to respond to any of our questions and everything was great. Highly recommended for a private tour!

I have nothing but great things to say about Gol Salt tours! My guide, Valeria, was so accommodating, sweet, friendly, knowledgable, and passionate about the region and her home country that this review doesn't do justice. She even connected me with a tour guide friend in La Paz, who took me all around the highlights of the capital the following day!

The morning of the Salar tour, our driver picked me up from my hotel, and first we went to the rainy season stops that every operator visits (train cemetery, salt factory, and Dakar monument). Unfortunately, Incahuasi Island and Tunupa Volcano were inaccessible in February as we were near the height of the wet season, but that just meant more time on the Salar! We spent several hours observing the mirror effect in all its glory, and I couldn't be more pleased with the photos and videos that Valeria and our driver took. They captured not only cool and original perspective photos, but also some of the most creative timelapse and illusion videos that I have ever seen!

What sets Got Salt apart is their willingness to go the extra mile for their customers. While other operators convene at the Dakar monument for lunch, we ate out on the Salar. We also enjoyed the sunset in its entirety, unlike many other tours which stop for only a few minutes for a photo opportunity and then hurry back to Uyuni with the Golden Hour still well underway. The wine and cheese picnic during sunset was the perfect ending to an awesome day!

This single-day tour satisfied my desire to not only see the sunset mirror on the Salar There was never a dull moment and, when I return, I will be sure to use Got Salt again!

We had an amazing day at the salt flats with Paul. When booking the tour he was easily reachable through whatsapp. Paul is very knowledgeable about the salt flats, Bolivian economy, cars so we had some interesting conversations with him during the day. He took us to sections where there were less tourists. Even though we visited during the dry season Paul took us to a water section to see the sunset. He took some great pictures of our family. Lunch was provided and it was the best meal we had in Uyuni, even better than the dinner we had a Tika restaurant, that was highly recommended by a few people.
