Golden Circle, Kerid Volcanic Crater, and Blue Lagoon Day Trip from Reykjavik

Select Date and Travellers
2 travellers
The Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon are two of the most famous attractions in Iceland.  Join this tour to discover both in a unique one day adventure.  During the tour you will visit Thingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall as well as the volcanic crater Kerid (entrance fee included).

After exploring the amazing Icelandic nature, you end the journey by soaking in the extraordinary Blue Lagoon.  You arrive before 17:00 (5:00pm) and enjoy a relaxing time there for about 2 hours before heading back to Reykjavik

(entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon is not included and must be booked in advance at own expense).
  • 11-hour Golden Circle, Kerid crafter, and Blue Lagoon tour from Reykjavik
  • A guide offers history and geology facts you wouldn’t learn on your own
  • Small-group tour of 19 or fewer people guarantees a memorable experience
  • Hassle-free round-trip transportation from your Reykjavik hotel or accommodation
What to Expect
Begin your tour with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in the Reykjavik area. Meet your guide and small group and hop on your climate-controlled vehicle. Set out toward the Golden Circle, hearing about Icelandic history, geology, and culture from your guide en route. Head to Thingvellir National Park, where you learn about how it lies within a volcanically active area. It's also home to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Straddle two continents while you walk between the plates. Hop back on the bus for the journey to the lake-filled, 3,000-year-old Kerid crater. Stop to marvel at its magical-looking lake and colorful slopes. Next, visit the surreal Geysir geothermal area on foot, stopping at bubbling ponds, steam vents, and Geysir and Strokkur geysers. The next destinations are Gullfoss waterfall and the iconic Blue Lagoon. Choose to head inside the lagoon spa (own expense) if you’ve pre-booked admission. Enjoy a soak in the steamy waters while admiring surrounding lava fields. After roughly two hours at the lagoon, relax during the journey back to Reykjavik, and finish with a drop-off at your hotel.

Yes there’s lots of public parking lots. They’re labeled P1,P2,etc.. you do have to pay and they range from cheap to expensive. I parked in an outside lot P2 and it was $6 a day. The parking garages are more expensive
