About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- dianna1160 contributionsGreat Sedona Jeep TourThe Outlaw Jeep Tour was fantastic. We had a great time. We toured the Seven Canyons Trail with Tour Guide Carmine. Carmine made the tour extra special with his knowledge of the area and his sense of humor. The views were amazing. We saw some wildlife, fauna, and beautiful vistas. The open-air Jeep was perfect. It was heated, though, and had extra blankets for cooler days. Take this tour. Ask for Carmine. You will not be disappointed.Written 18 March 2024
- A2907JXmatthewm0 contributionsDoc made the tour fun and educationalThe tour was great for our family of four. Doc was an incredible guide. He had lots of knowledge and loves what he's doing which makes it a great experience. We would highly recommend this tour and this company to anyone. Safety first and fun second.Written 18 March 2024
- jonathanfW4540JA0 contributionsThank you Joe!It rained the entire day before our scheduled tour which impacted available trails. Joe rose to the occasion and explained our back-up game plan for the tour which was fantastic. We toured the rim and went to a "special" place to round out our tour. Great information, stunning photo opportunities, and lot's of laughs. Well done! I can't wait to come back to Sedona and learn more on another tour.Written 18 March 2024
- 3Harelik0 contributionsA must-do adventure! Support local. The highlight of our Sedona anniversary trip! We had an absolute blast on our jeep tour with our tour guide Carmine. We learned so much about Sedona, its history, and the nature in the area. We also laughed a lot. The weather was rainy and cold and being from Las Vegas we don’t handle the cold well, but they provided very warm blankets and heaters and we were comfortable the whole time. We stopped and took lots of great pictures in some stunning locations and even got to take some together and not in a selfie for a change because it turns out that Carmine is a great photographer too! We’re so glad we chose this local, family-owned business. The quality and customer service are outstanding. A must-do when in Sedona. You won’t regret it.Written 17 March 2024
- jeffrF5397MS0 contributionsGreat time even in cold weatherGreat tour with knowledgeable guide.. everyone enjoyed their time. The Jeep had heaters for your feet, blankets, and it was very cozy even with a little rain during a cold dayWritten 17 March 2024
- Maritza A0 contributionsCold, rainy tour and still AMAZINGDon was a great tour guide! The weather wasn’t ideal so we were given the option of taking a refund or rolling with it. We chose to roll with it and we were not disappointed. Amazing views, and Don was just full of info and so energetic, positive and accommodating. We had blankets and ponchos to stay warm and dry. My 3 teens loved the tour. It was an awesome 3 hours!!Written 16 March 2024
- Coastal547470938180 contributionsWell done tour - highly recommendHad a great trip with JC at Arizona Safari Jeep Tours. He was very well informed about the geology and the history not only of Sedona and northern Arizona, but the southwest US. We were originally scheduled to go on the Diamondback tour, but the trail was too muddy from recent rains, but they were able to accommodate us on the Outlaw Trail. The trail was still rugged and while, of course, taking in the beautiful scenery of Sedona.Written 16 March 2024
- 743edwardz0 contributionsMust Try ExperienceCarmine is the best guide! No dull moments during this jeep tour. Fortunately everyone on board was ok with an extra bumpy ride. Words cannot describe just how beautiful Sedona is, so you'll have to see it for yourself. Just make sure you try to get Carmine as your guide!Written 16 March 2024

Massively exceeded expectationsour family took a 2 hour outback trail excursion in march of 2024. we met our tour guide adam and could tell it would be fun. he was very energetic and friendly and very eager to share his tremendous knowledge of the red rocks, sedona history, etc, etc. he drove us to some awesome sites and extended the tour by 15 minutes so we could catch the sunset from sedona airport. we enjoyed our trip and afterwards all of us wished it has been 3 hours instead of 2. highly recommend this tour!Written 14 March 2024

Due to road construction we spent approximately 40 minutes of the tour on city streets and highways. We also expected that since this was a sunset cruise we would be at a spot that we could view a beautiful red rock sunset. We instead were driving on the freeway as the Guide pointed out restaurants and other non sunset related points of interest.
Our guide, Wyatt, was friendly and knowledgeable, but the itinerary was not as advertised.
Disappointed and would not recommend this tour, especially not at this price point of $90 per person. Hopefully you can improve the description and the itinerary.

Unfortunately we cannot control when or where road construction will be. We would've loved to hear about your experience while you were still in town. We hope in the future to have a second chance, but please give us a call directly to assure you are getting on the tour that is right for you!

The two hour sunset tour excursion started on time however the guide did not manage the time and “hung out” at one stop with other groups. I guess she realized we were late and all of a sudden hurried us onto the jeep promising we would still make it to the spot for our sunset pics. We did not het there and she just pulled off the side of the rode hoping to find a spot clear of trees when we pointed out the sun was setting quickly. I have attached a sample of my “sunset pics” from the side of the highway which I could have easily driven to myself. The guides should have schedules to follow and use timers if needed.

Beau was a fabulous guide for this scenic sunset departure tour which took our group of 12 down Dry Creek Rd and on to an "off-road" adventure into the Palatki Ruins. The acoustics were great allowing us to hear every word of Beau's endless information about the ancient dwellers of the area and its geology. Getting out of the jeep periodically for short walks allowing more upfront viewing of the cliffs plants, water, etc, made the tour time fly by. Beau also held our attention with his periodic visual demonstrations of how the early inhabitants managed to survive by using the resources that surrounded them in nature, such as the Yucca plant which was used for everything from weaving baskets to making soft diapers for babies. Finally, the guide was so friendly and willing to take photos of all of us, including selfies. This is a must-do experience and we recommend it highly.

Four of us took the Red Rocks tour on Oct. 28, 2020 and Deven was our guide. Very scenic trip using Safari's new Gladiator Jeeps and the ride though rough was relatively smooth in the well dampened Jeeps. Deven was a particularly excellent guide. He's personable, considerate, and very knowledgeable. He added immensely to the joy of the excursion. Highly recommend Safari Tours and Deven.

It's been two weeks since I took the tour, so I'm not sure which one I did, but it was awesome. As was Joe, our guide. There were seven of us on a vehicle that could have taken probably 12-14. We went off road back to where we had great wide views of the mountains. Joe even used our own phones and got each group/couple in a panoramic picture, and took the time to show me how to take them. He said it was easy, and it was. The views were spectacular. We went at 4:30 and were up there around sunset, providing fantastic views and pictures. And Joe's banter with us and the knowledge he provided about the area, archeological and historical, made it that much better. It was the just the right amount of information, and the right information to share. And he even told us about the famous vortexes in the area (he does a vortex tour), and then showed us what to look for (you'll have to take the tour to find out :)), found a spot, and brought out his dowsing rods so we could all experience the pull of the rods in that spot. I'd recommend Joe and the sunset ride to anyone. Great guide and tour! Nice job, Joe. Thank you!

This tour exceeded our expectations so much! It was by far our favorite part of our trip. Our tour guide, Doc, was so knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, history, etc. and would stop the Jeep and show us different things that we never expected to see. The views were beyond beautiful and we left with so much knowledge we didn’t expect to receive! My boyfriend and I chose the tour that left in the evening (sunset tour) and we definitely made the right choice. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to really see the red rocks of Sedona and learn about its history take this tour. Thank you for a great experience Doc!! We will definitely be back for more tours!

Reasonably priced and we were the only family on the Jeep which was amazing because our tour guide (Levi) was able to spend more time showing us stuff. Levi was awesome in helping us with our one year old and car seat. This company will go out of their way to accommodate your family or group.

This was our first jeep trip after coming to Sedona several times. Wills, our driver, was a fountain of stories, facts and mystical tales he had researched from years traveling this area. Mostly in Boynton Canyon, we stopped to take pictures a couple of times, once at a vortex spot, where my wife showed off her electrical powers, divining a vortex spot. Willis knit it all together with stories I reserve judgement about, but it was an enjoyable tour and worth the time.

There were 9 of us in a group and Arizona Safari Jeep tours were able to provide a jeep that could fit all of us. Our tour guide Steve was friendly and knowledgeable (and a great driver): he told us about geology, various local plants, and just Sedona in general. We took the sunset tour and it was beautiful. This tour was not very bumpy at all - mostly dirt road with some rocks and some hills but the views were gorgeous. This is also a locally owned company and not a chain and we like to support local businesses. Highly recommend!

Hi We are a group of 11 which includes one 5 year old , two 15 year old girls and 8 adults. Could we all be in the same vehicle?

The seats run along the side of the “Jeep” it actually has seatbelts so I would call ahead. The ride is rough so I caution you to put the five year old between two adults. Enjoy!

If you book directly on their website, there is an option for just one person. If you go to safari jeep tours com and then select Outback Tours, under the Jeep Tours drop down, you should be able to book for just one person. The trip advisor system won't let me include a website link, otherwise I would have included it here.

Yes, the jeeps are open air at least the one I rode in. I would call the company to see if they have "closed jeeps."
The tour says it's two hours but you answered someone that it's four hours. How long is the tour? I would love a four-hour tour if you have it?

This tour was NOT 4 hours. More like almost 2 if people do get out at certain spots of interest.
