Wine Tasting with a Stellenbosch wine maker
Our most popular wine tasting tour. On this cultural tour you will visit some of the youngest and oldest wine estates in the area as well as those in between.

Your guide, Jim is South African and a certified Tourist Guide and wine maker who speaks Swedish and English. He has a Professional Driver’s License and Public Transport Permit. His guiding qualifications are for wine, history, culture and nature with an intense interest in birds and African history in general.  You can try asking him what you like ;-)

You will taste a representative cross section of Stellenbosch wines as we visit vines and possible cellars as well.  It’s also practical for groups with a variety of tastes.
What to Expect

This full day tour introduces young and old wine making styles across the spectrum from light crisp flavours to complex robust red blends.

Varieties to taste: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin, Rousanne, Semillon, Chardonnay, Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and many French-style and Cape blends.

Our wine tours showcase some of South Africa’s best vineyards with a strong emphasis on heritage and includes a mix of the best of what the Cape wine route offers with respect to nature, wines and cuisine. Being in the historic heart of the country’s wine region with an elegant mix of 18th century Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian culture, this is a marvellous way to thoroughly explore the Cape Winelands.

The Cape Winelands are in what is probably the world's most beautiful countryside with dramatic, expansive vistas of mountains, vineyards and ocean. There are over 400 wineries in the Cape and our winelands tours concentrate on the wine growing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Our tours are unpretentious and done at a leisurely pace with a focus on your enjoyment, learning and relaxation. In the middle of the day, we stop for a relaxed a la carte lunch.
