Scenic Flight and Crab Feast from Ketchikan
From US$269.00
Enjoy two of Alaska's top activities that includes a scenic flight from Ketchikan followed by a crab and smoked salmon feast at George Inlet Lodge. During your flight, your pilot helps you spot native wildlife like bears and mountain goat. Land at a secluded lodge where you get an all-you-can-eat meal with fresh Dungeness crab and more. Then explore the grounds on your own before returning by car to Ketchikan. Includes scenic flight, lunch, and transportation.
What to Expect
The town of Ketchikan, nearly 700 miles north of Seattle, is one of Alaska's first ports of call as you head north up the coast of Alaska.   Surrounded by scenic waterways  the area offers incredible views from the air of rolling green hills, dramatic bluffs and gorgeous waterfalls.
This 2 hour tour (3 hours including transportation) starts with a 30 minute flight of the surrounding countryside starting just outside of town.  After meeting your pilot, you will hop on a small Alaskan bush plane, strap on your headset, and take off for commanding views from the air.  Your pilot will narrate the trip, teaching you about the surrounding area and the history of the surrounding settlements.  Your voice-activated headset will make communicating easy, so feel free to ask any questions.
After gaining a clear view and new appreciation of the beautiful scenery around Ketchikan, you will land on the other side of Revillagigedo Island for a 1 1/2 hour feast at the George Inlet Lodge where you will be treated to smoked Salmon by a cozy fireplace, salad tossed in house made oriental dressing, red potatoes roasted in olive oil and more sweet Dungeness Crab than you have ever seen in your life.  After eating your fill you can wander the souvenir shop for gifts and mementos, explore the forested grounds surrounding the lodge or curl up back next to the fire with a glass of wine or a local Alaskan beer.  Finish the trip with a fully-narrated drive back to historic downtown Ketchikan where you will be dropped off back at your hotel to sleep off the incredible feast or drop off your belongings before heading off on your next adventure.

Stuff Your Face & Fly With The Eagles

My trip began with a bus ride from the dock to the lodge (perhaps a half hour trip), then the crab feed, then a flight back to Ketchikan. Depending on when you go, the order may be reversed. The trip up was on a comfortable...More

They will pick you up at the dock and then either drive to the lodge (fly back) or take you to the plane (buss back).
