Overview
As the first and only electric-assist bicycle tour in Southeast Alaska, we're excited for you to join us on an easy, enjoyable ride on the "road to nowhere". The end of our Island's paved road system . This road dead ends at the edge of the dense Tongass National Forest, an extensive wilderness where you will then take an enjoyable, guided hike along a well maintained trail beside an active salmon spawning stream. The hiking features calm waters, rapids and a waterfall along it's path as well as stunning beach views before returning to your E-bikes to cycle back to the Marina where it all began. All our tours provide round trip transportation from our downtown office across the street from the Cruise Docks and excellent gear is provided for all your weather and cycling needs.
Highlights
  • Explore Ketchikan with a bike and trek tour through the Alaskan rain forest
  • Ride along the trail to Tongass National Forest with an electric bike
  • Trek through the rain forest and explore the native wildlife of the area
  • The perfect excursion for cruise ship passengers who want to see more
What to Expect
Explore the lush Alaskan rain forest in this small-group tour with a maximum of six people, perfect for cruise ship passengers. Maximize your port time by combining multiple activities on this dual e-bike and hiking tour. Using an electric bike, head along Ketchikan’s paved bike path to the trailhead. Electric bikes can cover more distance and are much more fun than traditional bicycles, making the journey much easier. This leaves you with plenty of energy for the hike through Tongass National Forest. After mounting your bike, head into the lush rain forest of Southeast Alaska, which receives more than 200 inches (508 centimeters) of rain each year. Explore the flora and fauna of the area, including salmon filling the streams and deer roaming the forest. There’s even a chance to see porpoises, seals, sea lions, and even humpback whales from the beach on the way back to the port or your hotel.

My husband has chronic back pain, so the E-bike was a great way for him not to exert himself. It was such a rainy day but they provided us with a rain jacket, pants and gloves. We had an amazing time despite the drizzle. Seeing the salmon spawning was an eye opener for us

It was the first time we rode on an e-bike, and didn't know what to expect. Tim at the site was very helpful and patient to go through what we need to know. After learning how to use the control - which was rather simple, the e-bike ride was really fun and enjoyable. (You will

The electric bikes were super easy to handle and my 11 year old son was even able to ride. When I called to ask a few questions they were very accommodating in offering my son to try out the bikes when we arrived and if he wasn’t able to handle it, they offered to drive myself

We joined this tour and activity from a cruise ship. Everything -- from getting off of the ship, walking the very brief 0.10 mile to the office, and getting to the site -- could not have been easier or more convenient. The tour itself was relaxed, comfortable and pleasant,
