More than 65 humpback whales migrate annually to Auke Bay, also home to harbor seals, porpoises and bald eagles. Sign up for this 3.5-hour shore excursion that guarantees whale sightings and includes port pickup. At Auke Bay, board a jet boat that takes you to prime wildlife viewing locations.

Stand on the exterior observation deck or stay inside the cabin with extra-large windows — no matter where you are, take in great views of the marine life outside. Feel free to use the provided binoculars. Your naturalist guide shares fascinating facts about the humpbacks and mountain scenery you’ll snap pictures of along the way. On a clear day, you may even see Mendenhall Glacier.

After the cruise ends, enjoy transport back to Juneau port.

It's early in the season but you have a good chance to see solitary humpbacks, plus sea lions, harbor seals, and Bald Eagles.
