      Premium Turtle Tour
Ariki Adventures was a great choice for a premium turtle tour in Rarotonga. Their guides are very professional and friendly with safety being their highest priority. The sea scooters were great fun and easy to use. We saw lots of turtles and in a small group, never felt crowded while we were out in the passage. The tour was worth the money and I liked that they were also very eco-friendly. Our guide used her GoPro to take a lot of photos and videos which were transferred to my phone straight after we returned to shore via the GoPro app. Would definitely recommend Ariki if you are looking for a fantastic turtle experience in Raro.

      Great experience
Ariki were helpful with our large group booking all the way down the line and everyone loved their experience! Just be careful to turn up at the correct spot for the snorkelling as their office is not on site and it caused us a little confusion, but island time sorted everything out!

      Turtles, turtles everywhere
You must only ever swim the Avaavaroa Passage with a professional guide, and Ariki's tour is a great choice because of their experience - and their sea scooters! I'm not sure how you'd manage it without the scooters, the current was quite strong during our session and I think without them we'd be swimming backwards. They're simple to operate and you get a lesson first. Plenty of turtles to spot and they come up very close, I didn't see any rays but others did, and I believe someone saw a moray eel as well. An amazing ecological experience. I didn't know where I was most of the time so having a guide is vital and they had a lot of safety measures in place, including a boat you could jump into (or hold on to) if you needed to. It seemed like we were constantly surrounded by staff keeping a close eye on us and checking everyone was OK. You don't need to be an expert swimmer, but a fairly confident one. The current is constantly pulling at you and at times it's very strong. Our group of 4 had a great time and it was a wonderful way to wind up our Raro holiday.

      Overall Disappointing.
Overall disappointing. It was very rushed and crowded. The information says 2 hour tour, but the same team did a tour timed 1.5 hours prior and another 1.5 hours after ours. Allowing for them doing briefings and organising equipment etc, it meant our tour was only about 70 minutes. We were also told maximum 12 guests, but our group was 16. We did see turtles, but the water was murky and there were so many swimmers it was not a good experience.

      Amazing Honeymoon Morning
My wife and I had a lovely experience with Ariki on the sea turtle tour. We were part of a group of 11 who got to see several turtles and some rays. We recieved some amazing GoPro photos afterwards by the team - much better than our own!

Fantastic trip, highlight of our visit to Rarotonga. Great staff and lots of turtles plus bonus ray. Would highly recommend as the sea scooters are easy to use and heaps of fun.

      Dissatisfied
Was told we would get the photos sent to us for our snorkel scooter experience and still waiting for them. Went to their office on 3 seperate occasions and provided Facebook messenger details for them to be sent to and every day told they would be loaded later that afternoon. Happy to take your booking and money but nothing after that. Staff taking photos and videos for their own kids and family but what about the paying customers! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

      Shipwreck Snorkel - highly recommend
We did the shipwreck tour and it was awesome. Really nice staff made it super easy and fun. The kids loved it. It was super easy and simple to use the Scooters. Best adventure on the Island yet. We have a special kid and the staff were amazing and they just got alongside him.

Turtle Safari Rarotonga- A must do experience.
WOW! What an amazing experience. The crew were helpful, knowledgeable and great to work with. Turtle experience was fantastic with a lot of turtles to swim with. Had our 9 year old grandson with us and it was easy for him. The sea scooters made things easier for diving down to submerged turtles.

Dont do one without a scooter
Felt very safe the whole time i love how the staff surround us all to watch us in the water any sign of a struggle and the boys were straight away asking if we were okay. Only thing i would suggest is maybe take your own go pro as there was too many people to get single photos from them. Dont book a tour without the scooter the current is so strong

Best tour, best company ! Must do on your trip to raro
The Ariki sea scooter safari is a must do on your tip to Rarotonga! Such friendly staff who make you feel safe and comfortable out there so you can completely enjoy the experience. So amazing to see the turtles in their natural habitat, and the team are there to help you spot them, but very respectful that it is their (the turtles) space and not to disturb them. I always prioritise this activity with Ariki Adventures each time I come to raro as it’s definitely not something to miss! Cannot recommend enough, well worth it and would do this every day if I could !

Trip highlight- family and autism friendly. Don’t miss it.
Amazing! Would recommend to everyone. They assign a guide to each child and tell you to go and have fun. My oldest child is autistic and they had so much patience and gave loads of extra support, with a smile. My autistic child had an amazing time. It might seem expensive- however it’s very good value for money, they have so many guides, the sea scooters (so fun!) a boat to keep you safe, photos included.

      Best way to see turtles!!
Our family of 7 adults went on this tour (including a marine biologist) and had the most marvelous time! Johnny’s meet and greet on our arrival and through the safety briefing was warm, enthusiastic and funny. Using the scooters, something you normally only see on TV was fun and so easy! You can only go and see the turtles at low tide and it’s quite a ways out so the scooters remove most of the work of doing the swimming on the way, and of course back in. There were two spots they took us to, where a couple of other groups were, although without scooters. We saw a number of turtles at both spots and it was magical to just observe them in their natural habitat either swimming or resting on rocks under water. When the turtles were under water, and you wanted to dive down to see them, the scooters again came in handy with being able to more quickly move around in the water. The people in other groups seemed envious of our easier ability to move around in the water. One of our group wasn’t a particularly strong swimmer but still had a great time and when they got tired, they were provided with a float and still managed to have a great time. Our family was unanimous - hands down, best experience of our trip and one of our best water experiences of all time. Highly, highly recommend this tour. The team knew their way around, were protective of the turtles yet keen to share their little piece of paradise. You have to do this tour, the experience is totally worth it!!

      Well worth it- go early!
Great experience, some swimming capability needed but well worth it to see turtles in that environment. Great guides, and seems pretty harmonious with the environment. Totally recommend. FYI have been diving and snorkelling in Red Sea, Philippines, Gili T and still rate this experience

First time SUP’ing and it was led by an awesome team! One of our boards didn’t light up which was slightly disappointing but overall we had fun!
