          Awesome guide and your!
Adrian is the best guide! Great information and lots of local knowledge. We saw 14 different species and he found animals we would never have seen on our own. This is a trip not to be missed. We swam in the waterfall which was wonderful and we saw poison dart frogs on the way there! All in all just brilliant. Thank you 🙏

          A Walk in the Park
We were fortunate to have a very accomplished Ecotourism college graduate as our guide. He pointed out several amazing occupants of the park including sloths, howling monkeys, and five eyelash vipers. He could not have been more pleasant or informative. The park and its inhabitants make an afternoon very interesting.

          Wonderful tour for night photographers!
My friend and I joined Adrian for a night tour of Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo. We were there to photograph night creatures, and Adrian helped us understand and see the refuge and its inhabitants in their full glory. Adrian helped us find a wide range of insects, spiders, reptiles, amphibians and crustaceans and get us positioned to take some really interesting pictures. Adrian explained the history and ecology of the refuge and how the creatures we photographed fit into the larger system. Our tour started at the beach and wound our way higher and higher up the side of the hill. I highly recommend this tour and Adrian specifically for anyone interested in night photography and seeing the refuge in a new way.

          5 snakes & 5 stars!
Having Joaquin drive us around and Adrian as a guide made for a great day! Adrian knows so much amazing history about the area and can help you appreciate the difference between here and other parts of Costa Rica. The park was incredible and having a guide really makes sure you see every animal! We saw 5 snakes! The waterfall was gorgeous and we had it to ourselves. Afterwards we had fresh coconut water. Really gorgeous day even though we had a ton of rain.

          Cahuita cahoots
A very enjoyable morning exploring Cahuita National Park . We were a group of 2 and we’re so glad we booked Adrian to show us around. His knowledge of the local wildlife was second to none where he was able to pick out animals we would have blithely walked past had we been on our own . The waterfall experience was also great fun. Sturdy shoes are needed for the path to the waterfall which is very uneven and steep in places

          Amazing and fantastic individual tour
Thank you for this personal and wonderful tour. Our guide Braulio showed us many great animals and had a lot to tell. He responded to individual requests and in the end took us to a little-visited waterfall. Through him we were able to taste delicious fruits that we have never seen before. Combined with Costa Rica's diverse nature, we couldn't have imagined a better trip.

          Find another tour.
There was really nothing outstanding about the tour. The park was nice, we did see some birds, lots of snakes, a couple of sloths and a few monkeys. Communication was a bit of a challenge, not totally due to the language barrier, but we had to keep calling to confirm pick up details. The biggest issue was the visit to the falls. My husband and I are both 75 and the steps and walk down and back was very difficult. When we got to the falls it was very treacherous to walk on the wet rocks. Thankfully one of the others on the tour helped me with the stairs. Although the add says the tour is suitable to age 99, I doubt there are many older people that could easily navigate the walk down and back. Our guide did not go out of his way to assist, although he did a couple of times when it became obvious we needed help, and the others in the group came to our aid.

          FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!
Adrienne is a fabulous guide. Kind, caring and calm. He has extensive knowledge and we were fortunate to have spotted 4 snakes - all on leaves!! I can't believe he was able to find them! Bats, tarantulas, wolf spiders, moths, snails - it was wonderful. And turning off the flashlights for a few moments to see the night sky and the fireflys. BEAUTIFUL!

Best First Time in Costa Rica
Adrian was the best tour guide! This was our first time in Costa Rica and he made sure we had a memorable experience! He was really helpful in showing us all sorts of animals and made sure we had the best views in seeing them. He told us about the history of Costa Rica and also the history of Cahuita. He was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable! Please book with Adrian on your tour and you won’t regret it!

          Best Excursion in Costa Rica!
This was the best trip/excursion I took while staying in Costa Rica. I saw more animals and learned more on the trip to Cahuita National Park than I did on the trips I took to Isla Tortuga (Turtle Island) and Manuel Antonio National Park. The waterfall part was my favorite as you get to swim in the waterfall/pool area, whereas on other Waterfall tours (like Cataraga de la Paz), you only get to SEE the waterfall/take pictures, but no swimming. Fresh fruit was also provided, which was a refreshing treat to enjoy alongside the waterfall. The tour was made great by the host, Adrian. For anyone who speaks English as their primary language, he is the best guide you could ask for! He is very knowledgeable of the local plants and animals, and he speaks English more fluently than any of the other tour guides I came across. He is very easy to understand and very easy to communicate with. If I could only choose one excursion to do while visiting Costa Rica, this would be the tour. 10/10!

          Knowledgeable, funny, and attentive guide
Adrian was amazing. He was funny, knew so much about the jungle, and showed us many animals. We got to see the green frog with red eyes which was unreal. I highly recommend using him.

          Amazing night hike!
Adrian took us on a great night hike in Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo. He was a wonderful guide that had a good eye for creatures. We saw many spiders, insects, snakes, and a good sized eyelash viper snake! He was very knowledge about all the creatures and environment. My 2 teenage boys loved the hike bc Adrian was funny and found so many cool creatures - slingshot spider was a favorite. Transportation was included and was very nice to have pick up and drop off at hotel. We wore hats, rain jackets, long pants, closed toed shoes, and insect repellent. Would highly recommend this hike!

This should be the go to tour with Adrian!
It was just me and my wife with Adrian for this tour.

        Play by play / Overview

You start with the national forest where he shows you a bunch of different animals close up with his telescope like device. Without him a would have seen maybe one, two animals, with him we saw so much stuff, people waited for Adrian to spot something so then they could look.

Second we met the indigenous people where Adrian has a great relationship with. The Indigenous guide plays little tricks on you and no spoilers here. The food is great as well. I personally don’t really like chocolate but the process and the steps was worth trying/learning.

Lastly Adrian takes you to this really cool waterfall. The fish here naturally clean your skin and was probably my favorite part. He does some cool tricks but I won’t spoil them here. Ask about the chocolate masks trust me.

        Money Comments

Don't gawk at the price tag. You get three 60-80$ish USD individual tours in one. Great deal, great tour how do you beat that? We payed 110$ USD each with a tip that he didn’t ask for, we just gave because we felt like it was worth it.

        Logistic Stuff

Got picked up at 7AM from hotel by his driver and dropped off by 2:30 PM. All our stuff was safe with the driver no problem. Never felt unsafe, Adrian speaks perfect English, his website was down but I instagrammed messaged him @traveladriancr and got reservations within a day. This is also how you get the cheaper price. No hidden fees/ Adrian takes care of any logistical stuff with the National Park, Indigenous Staff, and the care taker of the waterfall.

Hope you liked reading this review and sorry for any spelling mistakes!

Adrian was an amazing tour guide! We got to experience some of the nature within CR, along with the culture. Adrian was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and plants. The other tours I took in CR felt very unorganized and were overpriced for what I was getting. This tour is like 3 tours in 1 and if anything, it was cheap for the experience I got. If you’re looking for a tour in CR, this is among the best ones here.

We were fortunate that our first contact with Costa Rica was with Adrian. He is a Guide capable of transmitting his love of nature in a unique way. Thanks to him we learned a barbarity of things: from how to observe animals to how the indigenous Bribri live. Undoubtedly, an unforgettable experience that we would repeat without thinking.

What an amazing experience we had, Adrian is a great tour guide who speaks fluent English and taught us a lot. He is very knowledgeable with facts about animals and plants. We had a blast learning about the culture and how the chocolate was made and used for many cultural things. Spotting the animals was lots of fun as we have a small child. He gave us some fresh fruit that was delicious and the waterfall was stunning and refreshing. It was definitely worth it, we will definitely use his service again. Thank you for the great memories and wonderful experience for my family and I.

Adrian was an amazing guide. He provided a lot of interesting facts and taught us a lot about history, wildlife and the people living in the area. At the same time it felt like traveling with a good friend and not at all like a guided tour.

I totally recommend this trip. You will see and learn a lot more than you will going on your own. It is absolutely worth the money.

This was an amazing tour and Adrian is top notch. His knowledge of the area, ability to locate amazing wildlife and his overall demeanor made this tour a memorable experience. During the tour through the park we saw monkeys, sloths, bats, snakes, birds, and a ton of other cool creatures. He brought his spotting scope which was great. The visit to the Bribri was awesome. It was educational and we made homemade chocolate! I really enjoyed the background of the Bribri indigenous people. Lunch was amazing as well. Last stop was a beautiful waterfall and a swim. After walking out there was fresh coconut water waiting.

Highly recommend this trip! It was an amazing experience.

After a first visit with Adrian, he suggested this tour according to what we were interested in and he was spot on! The whole experience was amazing. He was constantly looking for animals for us to see and helped us understand a part of the Costa Rican history.
Concerning the tour, the walk through Cahuita park was very nice along the beach and allowed us to see monkeys, sloths, and plenty of birds. The BriBri tribe was very welcoming and we learned how they traditionally made cacao. It was amazing! Finally, the waterfall was the perfect way to finish the day with a refreshing swim and fresh fruit!

Overall, a very interesting and informative tour and highly recommended. First we went to Cahuita National Park. Here, with our guide Adrian, we were able to discover many animals that you would never see without an experienced guide. Then we went to the waterfall. Adrian offered us delicious fresh pineapple with cookies. Then we went on to the Bri Bri, where we learned a lot about this indigenous people. Then we were able to help with chocolate and cocoa production and then taste it. Adrian is super nice and told us a lot about the flora and fauna and the development of the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and was open to all questions. Many thanks to Adrian for this wonderful day.
