Overview

This fully customizable, private tour allows you to see the places in Shanghai you’re interested in most. Don’t worry about language barriers: Your guide can help you organize transportation, acquire entry passes, and even figure out where to eat. Round-trip transportation from your hotel adds extra convenience. From Yuyuan Garden to tea ceremonies to temples and towers—it's a fun, flexible way to explore Shanghai.

What to Expect

Your day begins with a departure from your selected starting point. Choose to book a private vehicle or travel by public transportation. The itinerary is completely flexible, but note many admission charges are not included. Many tours start with the Pudong financial district, where you can view Shanghai from an impressive vantage point. Visit the observatory tower at the World Financial Center, the Jin Mao, the Oriental Pearl Tower, World Financial Tower, or Shanghai Tower.

Then, you may want to explore the Riverside Promenade or visit the Bund. You can visit the Confucius Temple, enjoy dumplings for lunch, or go to Yuyuan Garden and Bazaar. Try a Tang Dynasty–style tea ceremony, a popular option, followed by a visit to Shanghai’s Concession area to see colonial-era buildings transformed into restaurants and shops. The tour ends back at your start point.

I suggest if you take a tour that you let the tour company know at time of booking about the time you need the tour to be over. If it is a private tour, it should be able to work within your schedule.
