great snorkelling with great crew highly recommended short and day trip family oriented
we have made two trips. first 2 hour snorkelling open ocean, three kids 10, 10, 13, and two adults 15 min boat ride to reef. beautiful reef. day we went was bit choppy and two girls good swimmers but first time snorkel, managed easily but it’s open water, crew helps, just bikkie and drink but great. lots of fish second trip much better, much easier just one kid+2 adults - all day trip Yanuca island 1 hour boat to get there, brilliant snorkelling, shallow calm water lots to see, kava ceremony, coconut fun great, crew great, great lunch, good fun relax. much better value for money than first one and much easier. first trip had one thing for it ‘quick’. we have traveled around but this is one of the easiest snorkel we had done(nicest), and if you are like we r we loved the crowd. extremely small 30 on island great!!!

      Island day trip to Yanuca
Great trip over with Captain Rob, Malakai, Mitch & Api. The crew are all friendly and helpful and with them everything is very simple. The trip included snorkelling guided through the reef on the beach, a kava ceremony, local lunch, and one of the crew very graciously climbed a coconut tree then opened the coconuts for each of us to drink the fresh water inside. The guys are very proud of their country and I really enjoyed the beauty of the place as well as the relaxed atmosphere. It’s very easy to see how living here gives you a great connection with the ocean I’d recommend this company any day and have already booked to go back out on a different trip with them.

      Highlight of our Holiday
We were a group of 6 that did a private day rental on their small boat over to Yanuca Island and it was hands down amazing. Our two 'handlers' were awesome, friendly and got us over and back from the island safely. We were a little nervous on the way back because it was rough but they obviously knew how to read the water. The pictures and the snorkeling at the island were crazy good. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

      great tour and fantastic crew
Can say enough about the fantastic day we had with Malachi and team, great food and Island was superb with good snorkeling and shallow area's for beginners. People on island were friendly and everyone made us feel welcome. Sat on front of boat heading back to pacific harbour and had a great conversation with Malachi.

      great little beach
nearly missed the cruise boat to the island due to a car accidennt on queens road, but they waited for us and had a great day. Loverly island and great beach at an old backpackers/surfer hostel. Had great cultural inclusions, snorkling and a great bbq lunch. Overall a great day out, well worth it.

      Fantastic Trip
We had the best day with Pacific Harbour Ocean & Island Excursions heading out to Yanuca Island. We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves as we were a large group (approx 40) of adults & kids ranging in ages from 3 to 15 years. The crew were amazing with all the kids playing footy, volleyball & we all had a ball despite the rainy weather. The snorkeling was fantastic with several, all important "nemo" sightings. The food was yummy & again the crew were wonderful in explaining the lovo for us. I highly recommend.

Such a great experience! We had a bunch of 14 netballers from Australia and they absolutely loved it. The boys looked after us all very well and kept us entertained for hours! Definitely a must do!

      BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Bula! My daughter and I booked this tour and had the most amazing experience from start to finish! Captain Jim was incredibly knowledgeable and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were confident and comfortable in and out of the water. First thing after welcoming us on board, they went over safety rules and precautions for riding abs being on the boat and let us know where snacks and drinks were available. Then after a beautiful boat ride to the reef, they reviewed safety rules for snorkeling and for being on the island. They were informative and answered every question from everyone, and our group was made up of snorkelers of multiple ages. Some kids around 8 and up and right up to a few seniors. All levels of experience, but they went out of their way to make sure everyone felt confident and safe before entering the water!!! This was really impressive. When we entered the water, there were several guides. The main guide, Mitch stayed snorkeling with us and leading the group, and several others stayed on paddle boards, keeping an eye on things! The water was crystal clear, and looked like a magazine add! Snorkeling was incredible! The fish 🐠 so beautiful and vibrant and just took your breath away!! Never have I snorkeled in such a beautiful place, and I’ve been to several places on this planet! Seriously THE BEST!! After snorkeling we played volley ball, relaxed and they did a coconut show and demonstration for everyone, while lunch was cooking!! The food was fantastic and the Kava ceremony fun to participate in, but the BEST part truly was the BEAUTIFUL SNORKELING and ISLAND and that they let my daughter reel in her first ocean catch! I can’t forget to include that!! It was such a neat experience for her!! A Spanish mackerel that they cooked and added to the feast for lunch! If you can only do 1 thing in Fiji, DO THIS TOUR! The snorkeling was breathtaking!! After a guided tour and lunch they will give you time to explore the reef on your own (within the boundaries) while they again keep an eye on things! The beach is pristine, covered in shells, sand and coral. The beautiful tribe there will sell shells 🐚 (but make sure you know the custom laws for whether or not you can return to your homeland with them). We also saw a sea turtle 🐢 on the return voyage as well and honestly this was just the BEST experience!! Vanaka! Thank you to everyone at Pacific Harbor Tours for this legendary experience of a lifetime. We ♥️ you!

Great day on the island and snorkelling the reef
My wife and I went on this trip with a group of friends the day after a wedding (stomachs weren’t in the best condition). It’s about an hour on the boat to the island and if you are easily sea sick taking some tablets may help. Once we got to the island we were free to snorkel the reef just off the beach in clear blue water, there are plenty of fish to see. After this we played some volleyball (if you desired) with some of the crew who were very good and competitive! We also had a coconut festival (shown how to tell when a coconut is good/ripe and how to open them). This was followed by a traditional kava ceremony and a very nice lunch. Everybody who ran the tour were very nice and knowledgeable and had some great music choices for the boat trip to and from the island. We had a great day, thanks again!

      Yanuca Island Snorkelling Trip
We had an awesome day. Fun boat ride to Yanuca and back with fun staff, great boat captain and great music choices. The snorkelling was great...lots of fish and coral just off the beach. Fun volleyball game, coconut carnival, kava ceremony and delicious lunch. Some people enjoyed a hike to the top of the island and back. Free time to do more snorkelling, jump off the boat or just chill on the beach and lovely souvenirs to buy from the island ladies. I would definitely recommend this trip. Vinaka vaka levu ( thank you very much) for an awesome day!

      Didn’t really deliver!
Nice day out at the beach, good safe snorkelling straight off the beach - excellent for children. Lunch was good. But no sea kayaks provided, no kava ceremony and no hammocks. If you advertise those things you should provide them.

As a scuba diver I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy snorkelling over reefs but this trip was great. Lots of colourful fish and different types of coral to see from above that usually disappear when you get too close as a diver.

The water was a bit choppy but the crew handled it well, offering life jackets to anyone who wanted them with the option to take them off later.

The surface didnt bother me personally, as it’s all the same once your looking down.
Malakai gave us direction to swim in but allowed people to look at things they were interested in and wander off a bit if they wanted to.

The tour was well run and appreciate the guys for making it feel very easy.

Will be recommending on to any friends that come across to Fiji

This was a great trip. I have been snorkeling in Hawaii, Costa Rica, Florida and Mexico and this was by far the most alive coral I have snorkeled. So many fish! We were the only boat there, unlike snorkeling in Hawaii where the spots are overrun with tour boats.
The crew was great, very helpful. My only recommendation would be to bring your own masks. Some of my group had issues with the masks and had a rough time.

Pacific Harbour has Bega Lagoon lapping at its beautiful long and pristine beach and this is the departure location for the Fiji Snorklling Tour in Beqa Lagoon... There are many areas where the fish and corals are pristine, and the local Crew will know where to take you to suit the day's conditions.
The water is usually clear and warm and the variety of marine life is colourful and plentiful.
The Crew are friendly, well-trained and safety conscious and will make sure your day out will be a memory to keep.

Booked our family in to do the snorkeling trip 2 months in advance. Paid and confirmed. Then booked another family member on the same trip - paid and confirmed. One month out we get an email from them saying “oh we just checked that day and we are fully booked with an group tour and had them booked before you...we just hadn’t checked our bookings”. Yeah right. What you mean is you dumped us for a bigger group. Bad form.

Bula, Sorry that you think we ditched you for a bigger group. I can understand why you would think this. However, the rugby group that was booked on the same day had been booked since last year. This was a case of a double booking and it was our fault for missing the double booking when you booked your tour. We apologize for this, but we sometimes do make mistakes and miss things. We apologize. Vinaka

Easy to organise with plenty of communication. Easy to get a big group onto a boat. The guys on the boat were super friendly and helpful. We had a range of people from experienced divers through to first time snorklers. Everyone had a great time. The staff were able to show us around the reef area.

We are a family of four with the children aged 8 and 12. We all loved this trip. It was more intrepid than we were expecting as the boat stops at a reef that feels ‘in the middle of the ocean’ and it was quite windy that day with a choppy surface. However the staff were fantastic and safety conscious. One crew member on a paddle board made it possible for our 8 year old to take a break halfway through the snorkeling. A really great activity for our family.

This tour was absolutely brilliant. Superb hosts loaded with local knowledge and a great lot of humor and fun! From snorkeling, to a "friendly" volleyball game, to the Karva Ceremony, to the coconut tree climbing demonstration, to the coconut shelling/desiccating activity - definitely a "must do" for all Fiji tourists! Vinaka Malachi & Crew!

This was our first time on the Coral Coast and we were a little underwhelmed with the snorkelling off our resort compared to what we have seen on previous trips to the islands. Luckily we booked this snorkelling trip which more than made up for it. It was a wet and dreary day, but the view underwater was magical. It was my 10 year old’s first time snorkelling off a boat instead of off the beach and the staff made it an easy transition for him. When he needed to rest he was able to hop on the paddleboard that a guide was following us around on. The captain entertained my 6 year old on board with fish feeding and snacks. The ride out was only 15 minutes, and there was a perfect amount of time spent out on the reef. Finishing with allowing guests to jump from the top deck off the boat topped off a great morning. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to snorkell off shore...In a safe environment.
The boat trip to Bega Lagoon only took 15 minutes, and then we all dived in. One crew member lead us over the reef and to the edge of the reef. The coral we saw was beautiful, of colours that we had not seen before. The fish life around the coral were a bonus, especially the size of the clown fish. We spent 1 1/2 hours on the reef, which we felt was more than sufficient.
We had our own snorkelling gear, however, the masks and flippers that were available appeared to be of good quality, and in a wide range of sizes.
The captain and crew were very attentive to the guests needs, and safety conscious, as there was wide range of snorkelling abilities. I would estimate the age range of the guests was from 7 to 72. Whilest snorkelling one crew member paddled on a surf boar on the edge of the group assisting guests when they got tired. Floatation jackets were also available for those guests (including children) who lacked confidence in the water

We have been on many snorkelling trips in the islands, all have been great. However, the advantage of this trip is that it is a quick trip to the reef, therefore the majority of the time is devoted to snorkelling. Excellent value for money. If we had booked this trip earlier on our holiday we would definitely booked a second one.
