          Best food tour!
We had the most wonderful food tour with Batul. She was really engaging and informative about the food and the history of the food. She is a beautiful, genuine, passionate guide. The tour itself is very easy with a driver who takes you to various locations. Thank you.

          Great Guide!
Another great experience with our friendly and knowledgeable guide Nasreen (Nas) Mehta . This tour really gave us a feel for everyday life in Mumbai. We ate at numerous locations and everything was safe , clean and delicious . Nas was very thoughtful in taking our various tolerances to spicy foods into account . She has an excellent command of historical facts and modern culture and speaks English like a native. Nas navigated us safely through the crowded streets and was able to answer all of our questions . By the end of the evening we felt like members of her family! Thanks Nas for a thoroughly delightful evening .

She is very knowledgeable in both history and modern culture and was able to answer all of our questions . Organized and efficient she steered us through the crush of the streets and made sure we were safe. Even her food selections were thoughtful to account for our different tolerances for spicy foods . By the end of the evening it felt like Nas was family. Thanks Nas for a great evening

          Worth the Early Start
Mumbai by Dawn was an excellent tour that provided an insight into parts of Mumbai that we would not have discovered on our own and was definitely worth the 5am start! Our guide, Meherban Irani, was already waiting for us in the reception of our hotel for the 5am start and we set off to explore in a taxi which we had for the duration of the tour. The fish, flower and vegetable markets we explored were very chaotic, fascinating and colourful and our guide made a point of providing lots of detail and information on what we were seeing. We also saw the newspaper distributors, had a stop for Irani tea, fed a cow and stopped to see a few points of interest such as an old abandoned cotton mill and we ended the tour with a gymnastics demonstration! Travelling between locations our guide provided both interesting and informative details about the history of Mumbai. Definitely a 'must do' tour when visiting Mumbai.

Once in a lifetime tour with Batul
Once in a lifetime trip, the fish market is absolutely insane but helps in understanding the chaos of the city. Batul was funny and knew her facts, she really helped us understand the city in the early morning.

          Super guide!
Mitali knows her facts and can help you explore the city way better than you could ever do alone. We had a horrible driver who didn't know how to use his car, quite dangerous if I must say. However, the guide was amazing and was able to help us throughout the entire week.

The Early Bird Catches an Incredible Understanding of Mumbai!
If you are an intrepid and curious traveler, and want to experience Mumbai from the inside out, this tour is a must! At 5:30 in the morning we set off to the Sassoon Docks, led by our incredible guide Nasreen. We walked through the hustle and bustle of the early morning fish market and related operations, where men do the fishing and women take care of selling. An incredible array of sights, sounds, smells and merchandise, all brought to life for us by Nasreen. We then proceeded to visit early morning newspaper distribution, the fruit and vegetable markets and ended with the flower market. Each of these offers a simplicity and complexity that are amazing to behold. We are so grateful for this behind the scenes look at life in Mumbai.

Joined a guided walk through Mumbai's Worli Koliwada (fishing village) with the charming Nasreen on the occasion of Narali Poornima. This is a major festival for the Kolis, the region’s traditional fishing community and also the original inhabitants of the collection of islands which make up the great city of Bombay or Mumbai. It wasn't my first time in the village but Nasreen had many fascinating stories that I had not heard before, and had laid on a very special musical performance by Chintamani, the famous Koli rocker/pop star and YouTube sensation. Nasreen also walked us through some of the village's side lanes and alleys which I would never have been able to navigate without help. All in all, a very pleasant afternoon with some new stories, a new angle on the place, and lots of great pictures, especially of the festivities.

Harini took us to a small fishing community in Worli. The lanes are narrow and wind around. Harini knew where to go, what to show us and, through her we were able to talk to men, women and children of the community. It was an enjoyable walk through the area, not strenuous or difficult. Thank you Harini.

I have already done one tour with Tvishi, so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. One of her talents is that she is sensitive to her clients' needs, and she suggested this tour and I couldn't have been more delighted.

I was the only tourist in the village but was not stared at as I have been elsewhere, and the people are very friendly, offering information before we even asked.

This is real Mumbai, a village in a city, and highlights how much it's a city of contrasts.

I thoroughly recommend this tour as an incredibly authentic experience and if you are lucky enough to have Tvishi, you will get a local's insight, she was a mine of information, not just on Worli but also local and Indian customs and culture, answering every question I asked.

Thank you Tvishi, my new bestie in Mumbai 💕

Had heard about the Worli fishing village finally got to see it in the company an experienced guide Aditya Pai of Nofootprints. Aditya’s knowledge about the place is unbelievable especially how he know his way around the labyrinth of lanes. Story about the taking God was really great. The scene from Worli fort was stupendous and especially the singing act put up by Mr Chintamani Shivdekar the YouTube Sensation was the icing on the cake. Hurrah to Nofootprints 👍

It’s often said that it’s the kitchen that carries the weight of a culture on its shoulders.... I think once you sign up for this wonderful walk by No Footprints into the world of Kolis - the original residents of the Mumbai city, you will realise that why this fishermen community thriving in the hidden quarters of Mumbai is so much more and continues to carry the weight of making Mumbai the largest Fisheries sector. Do take this walk to experience zest, vibrancy and fearfulness of the lovely people. Learn about why Artisnal Fishing is the need of the hour and many more hidden stories including Why do we call it the Bombay Duck (read Daak). We had a great time signing up for this on a super Sunday morning.

The colours of India never cease to amaze me. The Worli village is no exception. It is located on a small peninsula almost under the bridge connecting the Bandra i(airport area) to the other sections of Mumbai and is a village which has been there for many centuries. Based around the fishing life with the oldest temple site more than 6 centuries, generations of families have gone out in small boats to catch fish. Meanwhile the other aspects of life such as the home, food preparation, children playing soccer and cricket can be seen. A Portuguese fort was built there which became taken over by the British. It is an easy climb and gives the opportunity for photos of contrasting views of ‘old traditional’ and modern Mumbai in the one scene. Some streets are narrow (but these could be avoided if one doesn’t like narrow streets) and my guide Aman skilfully navigated a path which meant I was able to see temples, churches, a mosque and the outside of colourful houses (painted brightly in all colours) as we reached the fort and then into the jetty area to se the boats. I learned about the fishing techniques and saw fishermen repairing their boats and nets. The people were welcoming and we both smiled and said ‘hello.” I felt safe. The main street had a variety of small shops and enabled one to see the people buying their food, vegetables and other daily needs.

We took a city and fishing village tour with Aman. He promptly met us at our hotel and explained our tour. Then, he took us by private car to the fishing village, where we walked and talked about the area's history and culture. Amen was a wealth of information and was open to answering any of our questions. After our village tour, we signed up for a private cooking class and lunch, which was outstanding.
We would highly recommend Aman for a tour of Mumbai.

Whenever i used to zip through the Bandra Worli Sealink, i used to look left and observe and be curious about the inhabitants of the settlement left that jutted in the middle of the sea. Finally through NFPExplore, Harsh's company my daughter and i signed up for an early morning 7 30 am walk through the Worli Village. The village traditional Koli inhabitants are among the original inhabitants of Mumbai and we began the walk at the temple. The next stop was a mosque which which a koli family has care for six generations.. The narrow bylanes were clean, well maintained even thought the homes were cheek a jowl. Harsh kept sharing nuggets, trivia, engaging stories and myths..Learnt about Artisanal tradition of fishing, and before the Worli fort we stopped at the Koli cemetry. The Worli fort has seen the Portuguese, Marathas and the British plant their presence and flag. Harsh pitched in with a surprise act of a local Koli village rap star singing a rap in Koli lyrics. Sharing the customs of community marriage and the village coming together for social ocassions. On a more sombre note shared the impact of the bridge on the livelihood of the fisherfolk and demise of deep sea fishing close to the village. Absolute insightful and layered is Harsh's and NFPexplore speciality. Must

My first experience with NFP and what a great way to start! We had a lovely tour of Koliwada village in the heart of Mumbai at worli. Pooja was absolutely brilliant and very soon it felt like just hanging out with an old friend. She took us through a maze of the village and explained all the historical significances, ending the tour at the fabulous view of the sea and the sea link. Cannot recommend this enough!

Our guide Nas let us take all the time we wanted to chat and connect with locals there, watching kids playing cricket and join them. Her explanations and the stories of the place were really richful. Thanks again Nas for the amazing tour !
