Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Small-Group Tour
US$84.99
Overview
Summit both Corcovado and Sugar Loaf mountains in the early morning to beat the crowds on this 5-hour tour in Rio de Janeiro. After bright and early pickup from your Rio hotel, travel through the Tijuca National Forest to get up close with the Christ the Redeemer statue without throngs of people around. After learning about its history from your local guide, move on to Sugar Loaf Mountain for spectacular views of the sprawling city, slowly waking up in the morning light. During your journey, pass several other landmarks such as Palácio Guanabara, Largo do Boticário and Casa dos Abacaxis.
What to Expect
After early morning hotel pickup, you'll enjoy a tour of Christ the Redeemer without many of the crowds. On the way, you will enjoy views of Copacabana beach, Botafogo beach and Palácio Guanabara (State government palace). Before heading up, you'll reach Tijuca Forest, stopping at Paineiras to board the vehicles up to Corcovado. The visit to the monument lasts approximately 45 minutes. In case of poor visibility on the summit of the Corcovado, you will make an alternative stop at Mirante Dona Marta (362m), generally less affected by cloudiness.

Then, you'll head to Sugar Loaf continuing to Botafogo beach towards Praia Vermelha, in the district of Urca, passing by the imposing neo-classical buildings like the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Institute Benjamim Constant for the blind and the National Institute for Mineral Resources. You'll get to the Sugar Loaf touristic complex to board the cable-car to rich Urca Hill (220m) and Sugar Loaf (396m), staying there for around 30 minutes at the top.

Sorry I can’t remember it wasn’t a lot and you may be able to find it on the attractions website. They are both well worth the admission price
