Rio de Janeiro Main Landmarks Tour Including Christ the Redeemer and Selaron Steps
US$60.00
Overview
See Rio's most important sights, including Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado Mountain, during this comprehensive 5-hour guided tour. Visit Sao Conrado beach, a popular landing spot for hang gliders taking off from Pedra Bonita, to watch the gravity-defying adventurers soar high above the beach. Travel through Tijuca National Park's rainforest to the Christ the Redeemer statue, enjoying spectacular views over the city. Descend into the Santa Teresa neighborhood to visit the Escadaria Selaron and have lunch (own expense). Choose to return to your hotel or be dropped off at Sugar Loaf Mountain to view the sunset.
What to Expect
See the best landmarks in Rio de Janeiro without wasting your time getting around. Enjoy a 5-hour tour which includes Rio's main attractions and transportation, so you don't have to worry about a thing.

Your tour begins with a visit to the hang gliding landing area at Sao Conrado Beach. Here, you will see hang gliders land after taking off from Pedra Bonita. Enjoy the incredible views of the high mountains and the wonderful blue coast of the ocean. After this visit you will head to the Christ the Redeemer statue, passing through the Tijuca National Park and admiring the tropical rainforest from up close.

Enjoy your time at Christ the Redeemer and then head to Santa Teresa for lunch (not included). See this traditional old neighborhood which has much of its original architecture and character. You will have a chance to buy souvenirs if you wish.

To end your tour, visit Escadaria Selaron, also known as secret Lapa. These steps are the place where Snoop Dogg shot his famous video for "Beautiful." You can then choose to be dropped off at Sugar Loaf Mountain in time for sunset, or at your hotel, if you prefer.
