- lilyocooper0 contributionsAdventure Man Yuta San ⛰️We were in Hiroshima for two days and spent one of those exploring Peace Park. For the second day, my grandfather had organised for the five of us to go on this eMTB tour. As the meeting point for the tour was tricky to access by public transport, Yuki Adventures offered for us to be picked up directly at the hotel by our guide. Our guide, Yuta, was super friendly and really added to the experience. Although I am a fit and athletic young person, I'm not a regular cycler. I did find the climb challenging in some points, even with a EMTB. The tracks are in good condition and let you take in the beautiful scenic views. There is steep hike towards the summit, though it is short and manageable. Yuta made regular stops along the way to check in and speak about the land and culture surrounding us. Once at the top, he prepared us some tea from the foraged Bear Leaf we encountered along the hike. We also enjoyed a pre-prepared lunch from a local spot whilst we took in the serenity and endless views of the islands. The ride back down was exhilarating! Yuta suggested we try the Onsen to rest and recover before we headed back into Hiroshima. It was very relaxing and just what I needed (tip: make sure to step onto the balcony and enjoy the mountain views from the outdoor onsen - same temp). The whole day was a great experience and I'd definitely recommend it if you are visiting Hiroshima.Written 25 April 2024
- rcA7408XD0 contributionsDay trip from Hiroshima to the mountainsThis tour was a ton of fun! Yuta can pick you up downtown so you don't have to make a 2-3 hour bus trip to the experience center. The e-bikes are very nice for the steeper roads, and the view at the summit is amazing! The hiking portion is pretty steep but you can take as many breaks as you need. At the top Yuta brought box lunches and made tea with a little camper stove, he has a wealth of knowledge about the local area and its history to share throughout the bike ride/hike. There is an onsen next to the experience center you can get a complimentary ticket for, I recommend bringing a change of clothes if you plan on using it. Afterwards you can get driven right back to your hotel, which is super convenient! I definitely recommend this tour as a way to see a bit of the Japanese mountains/countryside while visiting Hiroshima.Written 11 April 2024
- alanlL6272LU0 contributionsBEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!The experience was honestly amazing. My partner and I arrived at the Yuki experience centre where we were met with the very friendly and awesome Yuta who gave us a rundown on how to use our electric mountain bikes. After our introduction we all set off onwards to our journey through the mountains. Yuta was amazing and accommodating, we stopped at intervals to have breaks and aswel learnt a bit about the surrounding area, we even stopped at small stream where I was given the opportunity to gather some fresh water that we would be using for coffee later! When we arrived at the base of the mountain, our ebikes were no longer needed so we journeyed the rest of the way on foot. It was surreal walking through such a beautiful forest, the different types of leaves and trees all delicately caked in snow, it made us feel like we were in a movie it was so beautiful. Then finally we arrived at the peak. It was honestly the most breathtaking view, uninterrupted 360⁰ view of the surrounding landscapes at about 1050m high, really felt like you were on top of the world. We took a a moment to take many photos whilst Yuta was preparing a delicious lunch for us with coffee he made from the spring water that we collected earlier. We all took a moment and really breathed in the atmosphere it was so pleasent and amazing. After our time on the mountain we made our way down and jumped back on our bikes. Earlier we spoke about a nearby scarecrow town and Yuta was more than happy to take us there! Arriving at the scarecrow town was really interesting and different, many of the scarecrows could of been mistaken for real people, it was eerie but really impressive and cool to see! Shortly after our brief time in the town we headed back to the Yuki lodge where Yuta showed us to the public onsen! The onsen was honestly amazing and the hot water really helped our muscles after a big day of biking and hiking. Afterwards Yuta personally drove us back to our hotel in Hiroshima which was about an hour drive so we are forever grateful for him to take us all that way ☺️ Overall this experience is something I will never forget, my partner and I could not have been more happy and fulfilled that we had the opportunity to explore the amazing Japanese countryside, and the biggest love for Yuta for making the experience wonderful and accommodating. (Also I forgot the mention, Yuta was taking the best photos of the journey the whole time and made a album for us to recap the amazing time!) We can't wait to come back and do more tours with Yuta and the team at Yuki experience centre. Thank you all so much 💜Written 17 January 2024
- lachlanrenfrey0 contributionsAmazing ExperienceThis experience was truly so much fun! We were looked after on our shower climb by Ryota and Yuta who were amazing, guiding us safely through the river. Their English is excellent and both are very friendly and fun. The Minochi river itself is so majestic, equal parts beautiful and terrifying! Clear as glass and so fresh! Thank you Ryota and Yuta for a magical experience 😊 この経験は本当に楽しかったです!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this river adventure with new friends. "Rio" and "Nono" our gracious, experienced guides and hosts led us (ages 82 to tween) in a fun, challenging, safe trek up river. We learned about our surroundings as we played and looked out for each other. Well worth the hour (by taxi/2 hours by city bus) trip into the beautiful mountain scenery. Highly recommend! Ryotasan and Nono...san, all the best to you in your endeavors and ありがとうございます。

I'm a Novice shower climber.
I kind of remember how Horiemon used to say it was a lot of fun climbing streams.
I was hoping to do it someday, but I stumbled across it on the website and invited a friend to join.
In a nutshell, it's more fun than I imagined.
When climbing the waterfall, you have to defy the tremendous amount of water and climb on small rocks.
If you're lucky, you can put it in the back of the basin, but the amount of water will push it away. 笑
That thrill, that adrenaline rush, it's great.
And none of these experiences are possible without a Guide.
By touching nature, the little things of everyday life were blown away.
People who are tired of living in the city or days immersed in smartphones, people who are stressed and want to relieve
I would like to encourage those who don't have many opportunities to experience nature to participate.
The exhilaration after it's over is endless.
Grown-ups can also return to being like children in elementary school.
Thank you for your valuable experience!!

I was able to enjoy shower climbing casually. The guides were very strict about safety and made sure to call out to everyone, so I felt safe even with children. The rental equipment was the latest and well-maintained. It's a little far from the center of Hiroshima City, but it's worth visiting. It's also great value as it comes with a set of a hot spring bath after the climb.

The waterfall that looked like a water slide, climbing up the waterfall, jumping, etc. were all very fun. Also, the instructors Yuta and Kajiyan were really fun to ride! It was an experience that I want to go again!! Some of us weren't able to jump 9 meters this time, so I'd like to go again when we're a little older. Thank you!

9メートルのジャンプは、大人の方でも飛ぶ勇気をなかなか出せない方もいらっしゃいますが、飛べたときの達成感は一味違います!!

We were able to do activities that we normally can't do in the wonderful, unexplored area of Oku-Yuki, just an hour from the city! The friendly and kind instructors took us to various spots where we could enjoy activities that we couldn't do anywhere else! We'll definitely go again!!

Yeah, it was great.
Before I went there were negative feelings, like it was cold and I was shaking, and there was no way I was going to jump into the basin of a waterfall, but when it started, all that stuff blew away, and it was just fun and a fulfilling time very quickly.
The clear stream of Yurai, the occasional sunshine through the trees, the exquisitely placed natural rocks, and Mr. Sato's wonderful Guide.
It was a wonderful experience, as it was fun as an attraction, but it also gave me a sense of appreciation for nature and a bond with friends who had spent time together.

We had a great waterfall climbing experience with the family, even though the water was cold in October. The guides were very professional and took safety very seriously. Our boys (9 and 11 years old) loved the climbing and jumping off the rocks, and never complained about the cold water.

Thank you for coming to YUKI Shower Climbing!
I think the water was little bit cold, and we were actually bit concerned about how you feel about that. We are so relieved to hear that you all were ok in the water.
We really wish we could see you all again someday, and again, thank you for choosing us to spend your beautiful holiday!

The water was clear and cold, but thanks to the equipment, it wasn't too cold. The guides were kind and helpful, and always spoke to us during the tour, which was very helpful.
I was so impressed to see the waterfall up close and thought, "It's so beautiful!" when they said, "We're going to climb the waterfall." I was surprised that I was able to climb it.
The pool at the bottom of the waterfall was bigger, higher, and more dynamic than I had imagined.
There were three different heights to jump from. With the help of the three guides, I climbed the rocks, slid down the waterfall, and jumped off the rocks.
The last 9m jump was too scary so I gave up.
It was a wonderful experience that made my heart pound, something I don't usually feel scared of.
I want to try the 9m jump again, so I'll go again.

I had never done river climbing before and was worried that I was too out of shape, but it was really fun! I was able to overcome my fear to jump into the water from about 9 meters up. But it was quite physically quite challenging, so you be ready to move your body!
