The four of us chose a private tour. Generally, everything was fine. The most important thing was our mountain guide(Conan). He was attentive, patient, responsible, handsome,energy, encouraging, and always smiling. He said, I must make sure that all the people I brought up here get home safely. Safety comes first. Whenever I wanted to give up, there was a voice beside me saying, try it, it's okay. Thousands of words cannot describe the excitement at the moment. And the credit of our handsome little porter, the four of us finally succeeded in reaching the summit. Because of their company, I am grateful to have you.(Conan).See again xx

Had an amazing time on the river boat tour and in the corresponding lodge for half the day. The local river guide was extremely knowledgeable, gave key history and context of the area, and spotted several key species along the river. Highly recommend.

This was my first time climbing Mount Kinabalu, and I went with a private group of three members through Borneo Calling. Despite some slow WhatsApp connection issues, the entire journey was wonderfully planned. I'd like to extend a special thank you to our mountain guide, Professor Conan for his patience and guidance. We also requested an additional mountain guide, Hairi and he was particularly helpful during the journey from Panalaban to the peak. Without their encouragement and the alternative route they suggested, along with their careful monitoring of our timing to reach the Sayat-Sayat checkpoint by 5:30am, we might not have made it. Lastly, a big thank you to the young porter, Kobe, for carrying all our belongings. Thank you all for your excellent work. We will be back!

Overall, my friends and I had a very pleasant experience with the Borneo Calling team! We would like to thank the entire team for all their efforts to make sure everything was prepared according to our needs. Our driver, Mr James was very patient and friendly, he helped us make adjustments in our itinerary since our flight was delayed. And our mountain guide, Mr Soh Ping Yi was extremely helpful and continuously motivated me throughout my journey on the mountain. We had really good experience from the choosing the package till the end of the tour . Upon choosing the Mt Kinabalu package, Ms. Mei help us a lot on the all details and keep us posted the updates and requirements . The driver Mr. James very welcoming and giving us lots of tips throughout our travel from Kota Kinabalu to Sabah Park .At Sabah Park Ms. Albianie explain us well the whole climbing and our staying and give us words of encouragement. Our mountain guide Mr. Brandon , keep us in safe and make sure we in the good condition during the climb and way back . Mr. Edward the driver from Sabah Park to Kota Kinabalu , very knowledgeable and share us a lot of information about the whole Sabah , culture and people . Amazing hike up Kinabalu. It sure is tough and we deliberated over the expense - but it is worth it for the reward at the top (and you see why it’s so expensive when the porters carry everything physically up the mountain to base camp!) The arrangement was seamless from the very beginning, starting with my inquiry all the way through to the payment process. The pick-up time was punctual. Harris 'Datu' Gimbad, the mountain guide assigned to us, provided exceptional service. He encouraged me along the trail to keep moving forward, even when I was running on fumes. His support was instrumental in helping me reach the summit. Needless to say, the view at the top truly took my breath away. All efforts going up to the summit were all worth it.

I recently completed the 3D2N Mt. Kinabalu climb with the Via Ferrata Low’s Peak Circuit, and it was an unforgettable adventure! The climb itself was challenging but rewarding, and the via ferrata added an extra thrill to the experience. A special shoutout to Mei, who was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the trip. From answering all our questions before the climb to ensuring everything went smoothly on the mountain, she truly went above and beyond. Her enthusiasm and professionalism made the journey even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience for adventure seekers.

The tour agent provided excellent and attentive service, and the driver was very punctual. I booked the package alone, only needing to purchase my flight ticket and book a hotel. Upon arriving in Sabah, the driver picked me up from the hotel as scheduled. The assigned mountain guide was also very professional. This three-day, two-night trip left me with many wonderful memories. Highly recommended!
