From US$62.00
Overview
Explore Penang’s vibrant cuisine on a morning or afternoon tour of markets and cafes with a local, food-loving guide. This 3-hour, small-group tour includes 10 tastings and starts at a central location in Penang, and is the perfect introduction to the best things to eat and drink in a Malaysian culinary crossroads.
What to Expect
Make your way to a central location in Penang city, where you’ll meet a local guide and small group for a morning or afternoon food tour of the city.
If you’ve joined a morning tour, walk to the Penang wet market to see stands piled high with fresh fruits and vegetables, and learn the basic ingredients of Penang cuisine. Morning tour tastings include a variety of local breakfast dishes alongside seasonal fruits and drinks, as you make your way from popular destinations to hidden local eateries. Come hungry for this tour, as your 10 food and drink samples make up a hearty lunch.
Evening tours kick off at 5pm, and guests enjoy a full dinner spread across four tasting locations, including local dishes, seasonal fruits, and drinks. The evening tour wraps up in an atmospheric café with drinks and music, and participants in both tours will bring home a goodie bag stuffed with some ‘must-try’ foodie gifts.
