About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- H466SKkristyh0 contributionsBest overseas tour we've ever doneDid this for my sons 19th birthday and it was outstanding. The tour is well organised and our guide Hoa has a second to none knowledge of the way and excellent English. One of our party let it be known that it was my sons birthday and Hoa called ahead to the lunch destination a pretty elaborate a cake with his name piped on it and candles for the whole bus to sing happy birthday. The Khe Sanh combat base and tunnels are a haunting reminder of a tragic past that are well preserved. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Just don't wear white you'll get dirty in the tunnels.Written 10 January 2025

- GBs2cworth0 contributionsHoa is a truly excellent guide - we’d ask for her by name ( Ba Na Hills, Golden Hands, Private Tour )We ( 2 couples ) booked a private tour Hoiana pick up - Ba Na Hills, Golden Hand Bridge, French Village. Booked via online search and WhatsApp - company v easy to deal with, good comms. Our tour happened on a day of very average weather . But our very much above average guide, Hoa , was an absolute delight. V good English and her cheerfulness and good humour gave us all a day, in somewhat trying conditions, filled with more laughter and fun than I can recall on a tour excursion. ( My dear wife had a tender back the next day from laughing so much and so hard ). We’d ask for Hoa by name for any repeat tours.Written 26 November 2024
- franklinw20190 contributionsAwesome one day tour in Da NangA wonderful experience with Hue private car tour. Top, our driver is very polite and professional. He meet us at the port waiting for us patiently when we arrived at Da Nang. He took us to Ba Na Hill and sightseeing, shopping and lunch along the way. The seafood lunch is awesome, sitting right along the coastline with raging waves as the backdrop. Such a great experience. I will recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Da Nang.Written 22 November 2024

- Natalia H0 contributionsour vacation in Hue was perfect thanks to this companyOur Vietnamese guide in Hue was absolutely outstanding and a huge contribution to our experience in this city full of history and culture. He had a vast knowledge of every place we visited and patiently and professionally answered all our questions, whether they were related to history, local traditions or architectural details. Moreover, he was always willing to help in any situation, providing us with useful advice, translations and even quick solutions for any small inconvenience that arose along the way. We greatly appreciated his warm, friendly manner and attention to detail, which made our trip a truly memorable experience. Hue brought life through his stories and explanations, and we couldn't have been more lucky to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable guide with us. The car was very clean, he drove carefully, he was very careful with us! he took great care of us!! on this occasion we thank him and we will gladly return to Hue.Written 15 November 2024
- Mohamed A0 contributionsGreat scenic road trip through VietnamThis was the best way to travel between Hoi An and Hue for our group. Beautiful scenic road with interesting cultural stops and a wonderful ocean side lunch. Easy pick up at your own hotel. Van option worked wonderful for our group. Lots of room for the baggage and for us to sit comfortably in. Van was extremely well kept. Practically looked and ran like new. Air conditioning ran too well! Our driver, Loc, was wonderful. From the introduction, he had a positive, warm presence and brought lots of background knowledge and humor to the travel. He answered all our questions, gave us time to explore, and gave us suggestions for our stay. His driving was safe and comfortable. He was able to avoid a potential accident when a vehicle suddenly cut him off in an intersection. Had we known he offered tours in Hue, we would have booked with him right away.Written 2 November 2024
- jfonseca950 contributionsHue to Hoi An - Private car tripWe needed a way to go from Hue to Hoi An and we couldn’t be happier with our choice by booking a private car with VM Travel. We were picked up at Hue hotel and dropped us off at Hoi An hotel. Throughout the way we passed through Lap An Lagoon, Lang Co Beach, Hai Van Pass and Marble Mountains. Top, was perfect along the entire tour. Very good and smooth driver in a very comfortable car! He was very chill and easy to talk to. We were able to better understand Vietnam culture and learn some interesting facts with him. We also stopped to eat delicious local food on his recommendation. In general, it was a very calm trip. Everything we needed. Thank you!!Written 23 October 2024

The lunch at madam thu was really good and the footbath was so relaxing! What the tour extra special made, was our tour guide Minh Tam. She can tell you so many stories and background information in an inspirational way that Minh Tam was the icing on the cake🥰 you can’t have a greater person with you than her! - goldraven0 contributionsGreat driver, great scenery, great oyster! Our driver Alex was absolutely fantastic. The drive was comfortable in a very spacious and modern Toyota SUV. Loads of room for us and all our luggage. Got to see all of the sights of the Hai Van pass, Alex pulled over for scenic photo spots and knew all the best places to stop. Lunch at Lap An Lagoon was a real unexpected treat, amazing (and very reasonably priced) oysters and a stroll along the lagoon edge to stretch the legs. Got for fresh and BBQ oysters, you won't regret it. All in all definitely use the service again. Alex was in touch the day before via WhatsApp to confirm times and couldn't have done anything more, put on some great tunes for the drive also.Written 4 April 2024
- bernard_o_mahony0 contributionsDMZ full day tourMyself and my wife did the DMZ full day tour. It was a long day but our guide Hoa kept us well-informed about the numerous sites that we visited and gave us plenty of background information on the war and the history of Vietnam in general. I found her engaging and more than happy to share her vast knowledge of all things DMZ. Our driver was efficient and managed to get us around the various sites safely.Written 28 March 2024

Our tour guide Nguyen did a great job with this tour. We were picked up from our hotel on time and all the tour stops were as promised. The stories and details that our guide gave us about the imperial city as well as the royal family were really interesting. The lunch stop was well chosen because we got to try the local cuisine.
A tip for travellers -- Make sure to wear clothing that covers your shoulders and knees for this trip since there are places where modest clothing is required.
My only complaint is the price point. This tour booking was quite expensive and I felt like the overall experience did not match how much we paid for it.
I'll still definitely recommend the experience!

The tour with VM Travel to Hue turned out to be wonderful. Everything was organized very well. The tour started early in the morning when we were picked up at our accomodations in Hoi An. From there we took the picturesque Hai Van pass (incl. photo and coffee stop) to the tomb of the emperor Khai Dinh. The bus ride and visit of the tomb lasted about 4,5h. After lunch a short visit to the Thien Muh Pagoda and finally the Imperial City of Hue was on the agenda. We spent about 1,5h in the Imperial City.
Our guide spoke English very well and accompanied us the whole time. He provided interesting facts, stories and legends at every stop and sight. He was very knowledgeable and talkative and even provided some background already on the bus ride.
The lunch stop was at a restaurant in Hue, where we were served a vegetarian meal since the majority of the travel group was vegetarian. The group size was 11.
The bus ride back was approx. 2h 45 mins. In total, the tour lasted almost 11h, so it was worth every penny. I totally recommend the tour :) We had a great time and saw many things in a fairly short time.

A brilliant day out.
Pick up from hotel in Central Hoi An with a maximum of 12 people in the group.
The first stop we made was at a picturesque layby on the Hai Van Pass to take some panoramic views.
The next pit stop was in a little pearl fishing village for a quick refreshment & a chance to take in the beautiful views. Also a chance to shop for gifts at the store. A pair of pearl stud earrings cost around ÂŁ15.
During the drive to the best stop at the Tomb of Khai Dinh, our guide Cong gave us a little history of the Vietnamese Emperors, of daily life & family expectations.
The tomb itself was beautiful. Be warned though, anyone with walking impairments would struggle to access the sight.
Thiem Pu Pagoda was next on the itinerary. Cong again providing much appreciated insight into the history. Within the Pagoda is a memorial of sorts to the Monk Thick Quang Duc who protested the treatment of Buddhists by setting himself on fire. Cong told the story of the full events of the day which were unknown to myself & very touching.
A lunch was provided in Hue City, which was plentiful & delicious.
Last stop was the Hue Imperial City (Citadel). Cong provided a lot of information & history as we walked through the city.
All in all a spectacular day trip with a very friendly & knowledgeable guide.
Highly recommend.

We rented a car with driver for a return trip (Hai An - Hue; 1,955,000 VND; 17/01/2020) with VM travel as they advertised that the driver speaks english and it is a secure trip with no hidden charges. In the end, the driver didn’t speak english and was not making any effort to communicate with us (not one hi, bye, thank you - not even in Vietnamese). We didn’t know the itinerary he was following (which we afterwards found that it was different from the one we were told) nor the time we had in each place, or even time for lunch (it was a whole day trip). We had to type things in google translator to communicate to him that we were starving and he took us directly to a restaurant, without us having any say in that. When we paid him, he didn’t give us the change. All in all, going to Hue from Hoi An is well worth it but we wish we had chosen a different travel agency, because we felt uncomfortable the whole way.

Our friendly guide (Mr. Cong) helped us snap good pictures and passionately explained the history and culture of the places we visited. Hai Van pass was really beautiful. The Emperor’s tomb & Hue Imperial city were so interesting. Cong explained the history of the different emperors and their various achievements. As the tour group was small we didn’t have to spend too much time picking up everyone. The set lunch which was part of the package was one of the best & authentic Vietnamese food we had during the entire trip. Even though it kept raining throughout the tour, Cong made sure we had our umbrellas and made sure he took us through safe paths. Highly recommended

This trip was excellent. The driver drove carefully and made our travel enjoyable. Our tour guide name is Thuy, she's knowledgeable and know how to tell stories very well. Our family really enjoy her company. We left from Hoian, got on the van and got to Hue where we had a good lunch break, and we got transported to our hotel in Hue after the trip. We like how our trip was laid out, we visited 3 destinations, and I thought it's a good amount of places to jam pack to your itinerary in a day. Totally recommend this trip.

You'll stop at various places before you reach Hue, one being a cafe, however you might want to bring your own food to keep you full until lunch.
The freeway is limited 60km/h in Vietnam so the return trip takes a while.
The guide we had was very knowledgeable and described ancient life as well as more modern cultural aspects of Vietnam.

This is the worst small group tour we have been. For a start, pick up 7 am was delayed as the local tour company did not have our booking. Finally, pick up at 745 am. When we left Hoi A there were 8 from Hoi An ( 4 couples). Went to Danang to pick 6 up (4 adults and 2 children under 4 years old). Very unpleasant trip with one baby crying and the other talking non stop and the 4 adults had no consideration there were others. After half hour they announced that the two children would go back to hotel, so took their things out of the van, had an argument outside the van and came back in to to continue with the trip. Journey was awful. We understand children get restless but adults should know better. Children that age should not be on tours like this. The family should have arranged a private tour for themselves with their own guide and driver and do what they like without inconveniencing others. Thoroughly bad experience.

We booked this tour relatively last minute as we had heard Hue was a superb place to visit. We were not disappointed! Com (sorry for spelling) was unbelievably knowledgable and very articulate about the history and present of the ancient city. We learnt so much. A delicious lunch was included and we were very well cared for. A lot of places, information and activities packed into one day. Would highly recommend! Thank you

The tour itself wasn't particularly noteworthy with it feeling like everything that was covered you would be able to find out by going alone and reading the plaques in the forbidden City. All up, the day took about 13 hours and we were only provided a lunch which was pretty disappointing. The forbidden City is definitely worth going to, I'd maybe suggest taking a grab and experiencing it without the tour as it didn't feel worth it.

Hello, we are staying in hoi an (pick location) and then flying out of Danang at 6:30pm. If we book the tour. First question can we bring our luggage two suitcases and be dropped off at Danang? Second question what time do you normally get dropped back to Danang at the end of the tour? Will we have enough time. Thank you for any responses

Hello there! We are a group of 2 and are interested in booking this tour with pickup in DaNang center but the intention to stay at Hue at the end of the tour. We would be also be carrying 2 medium luggages; is this something that you can accommodate?
Written 6 January 2023
Yes, they can do so.
During our tour there were 3 men who joined us from Hoi An and were dropped off after the tour at their next hotel in Hue. They did have their bags which the tour operator could accommodate in the mini bus.
