      Very very disappointed
Couples tour and thought this would be a fun Ghost history tour of Albany. We did something similar in Charlotte, North Carolina and all had a very good time. History and ghost stories throughout. This however... was NOT the case. The man was scatter brained initially, but very nice. The stories were long winded and most of them were not about something where we were actually standing or pertaining to a building (I.e. we were standing in front of the Hilton and he was telling stories about the Hudson). At one point we were in front of the Justice building, where he told a story about Jesse Strand that took 30 min. There were kids (10-14) and were all very bored at this point. My best friend’s boyfriend fell asleep. Overall, would not recommend either for the ghost or for the history, especially at the price of $25 per person plus paying for the parking at the Hilton ($20) if you can’t find parking on the street. Skip this one.

      Sadly Disappointing
Although we had a nice night for the tour and the buildings were beautiful to see at night, this was not an overly “ghostly” ghost tour! Lots of history but the story telling was labored and lacking of ghostly charm. Little to no crowd engagement. And, the crowd was large, maybe too large for all to hear. I work in downtown Albany and thought we would hear more about both history and intrigue about ghosts. Tour lacked excitement.

      Interesting History Lesson!
This was a very interesting event and highly recommend. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed it very much! If you're looking for something different to do, and learn something at the same time, this is it.

      Not what we were expecting
My husband and I took this tour just this past Sunday night, 9/30/18. Our guide was Collin. He was very knowledgeable with historical facts, but that is pretty much all we got. A history lesson. The "Ghosts" portion of the tour were few and far between. I even heard two other women on the tour with me saying at the back of the group "we want more ghosts, not history". Collin was a nice guy, but not that great of a story teller. I heard another guest say she fell asleep while we were sitting on the wall outside of the justice building listening to a really long story. The story would have been better had the guide not gone off on a tangent about something irrelevant right in the middle. Disappointed to say the least. Wish I had saved my money. Maybe other guides have more ghost stories? Even their ad says "We are positive that our tours will enchant, entertain, inform, and scare you." It informed, but that is about all it did. He also ran late and I couldn't wait for it to end.

      Saturday night
I thought it was excellent. I've resided in the capital region all of my life and this tour was rich in local history and lore. The guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in the stories. He spoke extremely well and was engaging. I would definitely recommend doing it, especially if you like history. Not sure why some people had bad experiences. I think some people maybe expect actors to jump out at them in costumes or something of that nature. This is more of a walking tour seeing some famous landmarks in Albany and the stories and ghosts associated with them, not a haunted hayride or haunted house.

May have been better if you could hear anything.
SHOULD have had a microphone or some special apparatus but this was virtually a nice walk hearing some interesting tidbits seeing beautiful buildings. We strained because buses trucks and traffic masked most of the tour. Waste of $60 for the 4 of us. Really wanted to like this.

Poor Excuse for a night out!
Mildly entertaining evening for a walk in downtown Albany. Some if the information is interesting but some is speculation.

      Worst Albany tour ever!
This tour was awful. Our guide was more interested in telling bad jokes than clearly relating facts about Albany's history and lore. I've taken tours in the past with true Albany historians that were wonderful and fun -- this was neither! I was also embarrassed to have an out-of-town guest with us. Save your money!!

We found the tour with Hattie to be a bit dull. A lot of standing around. Our guide had difficulty completing her thoughts and was often out of breath (even after standing for long periods of time between very short walks) which made what she was saying difficult to follow. She told us some cool things about the history of Albany. That was probably our favorite part. Generally, a boring tour and we couldn't wait for it to be over.

      Fun Activity
We took the Ghost Tour on Sunday October 23rd at 9:30 pm. Our tour guide Enrique was very knowledgeable and personable. He was very outgoing and didn't make anything awkward. It is more of a history lesson then a ghost tour but a lot of information is learned. Fun, Cheap activity to do in Albany!

Fun way to experience the history of Albany!
We were in Albany for an evening and just wanted to learn more about the history of the city. We were able to join the 9:30 pm tour with the Full Moon high overhead and a little drizzle of rain coming down. Our guide, Enrique, was well versed in the history and really played out all the stories so well! The jokes were fun too. The tour is an easy walking tour, not spooky, and stops at many of the gorgeous buildings in the town center. If you are visiting the area or even just moved here, this is a fun way to learn a good amount of American history. I learned so much and had a lot of fun. I highly recommend the tour! Thanks Enrique!

Very interesting both paranormally and historically ! Fun time worth the walk!
We did the tour on friday night while i was on the city for business. it was a fantastic way to discover a city through that tour. Albany is a very nice city with remarquable architecture and a lot of history. Our guide , monsier collin? Knows his ghost stories and city legends and his very generous in his story telling. We loved it, Wondering if you would be able to walk the tour in this hilly city? Yes, no problem. The tour guide stop at various place long enough to catch our breath and rest. Great tour, great story telling. Lovely city. Very informative and amusing at the same time. Loved it. Definitely a yes, do it!

Informative and entertaining but not spooky!
My wife and I took the Ghosts of Albany tour over Columbus Day Weekend. Our guide, Enrique, was a natural. He told the group he was new to the job, but he was an entertaining and informative guide. He seemed to really enjoy the job and did his best to not only tell us the stories of "old" Albany but also keep us laughing. If you are new to the Albany area, or visiting, then it's worth doing just to learn a little about the history of the city. It's an hour and a half tour but there isn't much walking involved, just a big circle around the downtown area.

Jared led our group on a chilly, damp October evening. Perfect night!! Jared was very good. He is still learning the script, as a relatively new tour leader. But his delivery was very good! Nice guy and a fun walk.

The ghosts of Albany tour was okay, it was a cool crispy night to walk around and it felt spooky outside.
I thought the tour was going to be an hour and a half long, but was only an hour. Our tour guide Jacob was nice, he said we were his 5th tour he's given.
In my opinion this tour was not really worth it for $60. (That's for two people). :/

We had a blast on this tour! We did a private tour for four people with our guide Russell. Russell was entertaining and knowledgeable and interacted with us. Lots of fun stories to share. We live in Albany and learned so much. I recommend this tour for locals and tourists.

Tour was canceled due to a sick tour guide. Things happen to people and I hope they are well. I did wonder why the agency didn't have a 2nd person, on-call, or back-up employee? Very bad for business in a tough economy. I've paid on advance and hoping to get a refund without a difficult situation. We are here for a week and the tour is only Fri. and Sat. so we are unable to even re-book. Maybe we can make it another year if the company is still going.

Good tour and informative. Sometimes It's a little hard to imagine because you're only looking outside of about 5 buildings on the tour. But There's no other tour that is performative like this. This tour is best for people who are history buffs and really intersted in history. More at an upper high school and college level.

We had to walk away. This ruined a perfect October night for a spooky event being right in the middle of peek event time. The tour was NOT fun nor about ghosts. The guide could not stay on topic. At each spot, she said she didn't believe in what she "had" to tell us. She reminded us we wouldn't see ghosts ever. We walked right into a group of skaters filming and after 10 minutes of talking about steps inside the capital, the guys started harassing the women in our group. Our guide still didn't move on or away from them. At the school house, she then called firefighters right wing aryans, told us Muslims carved all the stone work and were killed if they carved people, and native Americans built all the buildings in Albany. By the time we walked away, there were only 7 of the 18 starting group left. WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK.

History and ghost stories walking tour of downtown Albany - nothing too scary but all interesting. Russell was our guide- he was early to the meeting site to check in guests, very friendly, and gave a great performance of the stories.

The stories were very interesting, and the tour guide was very nice. But we started 10 minutes late, and were still done in less than an hour. For the price, I don't think it was worth it.
