      Amazing tour and guide
I had a wonderful experience on this tour which was lead by the amazing Diwarka. He had great knowledge and was able to answer all the questions I had. The temples were fascinating with so much history, I could never have done this on my own. Would highly recommend this tour, was nice to be able to walk and explore the peaceful botanical gardens with so much to see and learn.

      Excellent Tour with Wonderful Guide
This was a great walking tour through the market with lots of wonderful food to try. From the pani puri to the vada pav it was all prepared right in front of you and served fresh. My guide, Nivi, was excellent. Her knowledge of the market and the best places to eat was unparalleled. I would highly recommend her as a guide should you be doing this tour. A tour like this is a great way to experience the local life whilst in the hands of a trusted guide who knows the way and where to eat.

Delicious food in an bustling and authentic part of Chennai
This was such an amazing food tour with Satish. He took us to some really unique and local places and the food was just delicious. Loved the walk through the busy sowcarpet area as it was bustling and just full of life and energy. We really got a good feel for the city during this walk and I absolutely loved it. Great memories forever. Thank you Satish for guiding us through this refreshingly authentic area of Chennai.

Great quick way to experience the local culture
It wasn’t just culinary (which was already exceptional), it was also an amazing way for us to see local culture in the streets, markets, and in some of the busiest areas of the city.

Fabulous tour of local food and markets
A fascinating experience tasting a range of different local food and drinks that I wouldn’t have had the confidence to try without being on the tour (or known how to eat them!). Gladius was a knowledgable and friendly guide. I would definitely recommend the tour.

      Waking Food Tour
Ganesh was very knowledgeable about the history of the food and the city of Chennai. Each of the different places we stopped had great food and he made sure it was too my liking to know if he needed to modify where we went to next. Overall it was a fun and enlightening experience.

Very genuine non-touristy tour of night market trying lots of local street foods. Well organised. Strongly recommend.
Brilliant introduction to Chennai street food and night market. Ganesh was full of information and good humour, and really made sure we saw everything we wanted to. Plenty of time to take photos. Although we saw no other tourists and the streets were bustling, we felt safe. Tried all sorts of foods (more than 10) that we wouldn't have ventured to try on our own. Can thoroughly recommend a private tour as Ganesh was happy to adjust the tour to suit us and added some extra sights. Five Senses Tour was also happy to arrange transport direct from our hotel in a very modern clean vehicle. Make sure to arrive hungry!

Excellent local food tour- you won't be disappointed (or hungry!)
Excellent communication and custom tour with 5 Senses (we chose them after reading reviews of many companies). On the day Ganesh was excellent he took trouble to find out what we wanted, and guided us around many different typical eateries, explaining what made them special. He was a knowledgeable source of local information, good fun, and made the whole experience a delight! We're hoping to see him again tomorrow...!

      Chennai Street Food Extravaganza
I recently had a street food tour with Ganesh of Five Senses Tour Company in Chennai. What an amazing culinary experience with an amazing guide. Ganesh took me to a neighbourhood lined with food stalls, stands and shops filled with locals that I never would have been able to discover on my own. The stands were serving delicious things that I had never seen or tasted before. And Ganesh was a perfect guide : professional, knowledgeable, caring and lots of fun. I had a perfect afternoon that I will never forget.

Eat and move through the market like a local.
The Sowcarpet food tour was the real deal. We were the only tourists in sight, and Ganesh, our tour guide did a great job helping us navigate a new and interesting space. The food selection is vegetarian and a great blend of the area. You can feel the history in every corner. The communication was great, and even when another group was late to the tour, they were very accommodating. You will need to learn to move through the crowds like a local. And the excitement increases as you learn to move with the crowds. This tour is very local, and the vendors are serving very local dishes intended for local dining. If its your first time in an local market you may find the tour adventurous, which is exactly what I needed.

I really enjoyed the knowledge of the local guide. Chandra was very friendly & open to questions. He recommended some delicious foods to try. He helped me understand local customs & traditions.
